If setup doesn’t start automatically, execute setup.exe in the root folder on the installation CD. After installation starts select the software that you prefer to install and follow instructions to complete the installation. NOTE: If you don’t have Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine already installed when installing PCM600, it will be also installed. Installation of PCM600 Ver. 1.5 can only be made as a standalone installation. After installation have completed, start Connectivity Package Manager from desktop to activate installed Connectivity Packages for PCM600. (Under normal installation conditions Connectivity Packages are automatically activated.) Prerequisites To operate with PCM600, there must be at least one Communication Connectivity Package and one IED Connectivity Package installed and selected to be used with PCM600. Upgrading from PCM600 Ver. 1.1 SP2 To be able to fully use PCM600 Ver. 1.1 projects in the PCM600 Ver. 1.5, following steps are needed, 1. Make backup of your PCM600 data or make project export 2. With PCM600 Ver. 1.1 export the SCD from the project with private sections 3. Install PCM600 Ver. 1.5. Note! If you have CAP 531 and/or CCT installed, you have to uninstall them, before installing PCM600 Ver. 1.5 4. Install new versions of Connectivity Packages (e.g. IED 670 ConnPack Ver. 1.0r12 is not compatible with PCM600 Ver. 1.5) 5. Start PCM600 Ver. 1.5. In the Open/Manage project window select the project and use the conversion-tool. 6. Open the converted project and Import the SCD file from step 2 with ‘Ignore PCM object type’ option from SCL import ‘Advance options’ Upgrading from PCM 600 Ver. 1.5 to SP1 or SP2 You can install the full PCM600 Ver. 1.5 SP2 on top of the PCM 1.5 or PCM 1.5 SP1. Only updated files are replaced by installation and you don’t need to do any project conversions. Note that you don’t have to upgrade the Communication Connectivity Packages Installation of DE language Add-On Insert installation CD to CD-drive. PCM may warn that there are some users without Windows account specified. In this case this is not a problem 6. Verify that Windows authentication works ? restart PCM600 ? PCM shouldn't ask for user name/password 7. If Windows authentication work fine, you can change the regional settings to German and start PCM successfully in German
