Why Go To College?
Group members:黄溶、厉莉慧、楼家园、罗吉芳
Why go to college ?Different people have different answers.Our group discussed this question and came up with these reasons.
Superficial reasons:
1. I t’s normal to go to college after graduate from high school as we
don’t have any skills.And our parents bear the burden of hard works for us,hoping that we could have a bright future,so to some extent,we go to college to satisfy their wish.What’s more, we had struggled more than 10 years, it unwise to quit.
2. Although many people think that study is useless, a college
diploma is still necessary in finding a job.
3. There are many kinds of useful resources for us in the college,
such as the books in the library, exercise facilities and so on.
Essential reasons:
1. For a further education. College is the next logical step. Many
students will have a certain career in mind, and they need to go to school to get the education they need for that career. Other students do not know what they want to do with their life, but they are pretty sure they will find the answer in college. Taking a variety of classes at the college level can help
a person decide on an avenue that they want to pursue.
2. There is the college experience. The college experience is a
unique one that allows the individual to grow as a person. You are placed into a world that is much bigger than one you have previously experienced.
You meet new people from various backgrounds and learn more about yourself as well. College is a place that you can redefine yourself. You have a chance to pursue your own interests and learn about the interests of others.
3. To pursue good moral qualities. Generally speaking, most college
students are cultured,after all,we have learned a lot about ideology.Different from the social environment, college is full of purity,so that we can avoid to be affected by bad social atmosphere.
These are just a few of the reasons that students choose to go to college. There are many others. The point is that attending college will open many doors for you. In our opinion, it is worthwhile to go to college,and whether it is worthy for you depends on yourself.
