Construction of Campus Culture

Campus culture, which refers to the combination of the construction of material culture, spiritual culture, and systematic culture, is emphasized by the authorities year after year. It seems that the campus culture have enriched our lives in numerous ways. There are, however, many insignificant problems remain unsolved, which get in the way of the further development of campus culture's construction.

The most obvious problem of it is that the content and the connotation of campus culture, such as the traditional Chinese culture and LeiFeng Spirit, do not change along with the changing of the society. Thus, students always feel hard to find recognition with the content. Also, since new media are hardly ever used in spearing the campus culture, many activities convey campus culture are ill-publicized.

It is easy for us to illustrate the reason, which caused the above mentioned problems. Initially, the concerned authorities are tend to control students' thoughts so strictly that few people dare to introduce new ideas into campus culture. Furthermore, college managers are usually not familiar with new media, like blog, consequently, they will not even consider of using them.

It is proved that the manager of universities are conventional in both ideology and the measure of practice, while the way of solving it is transferring some rights to students, provided they have brilliant and novel ideas about the construction of campus culture. In this case, many thoughts, which have connections with students' present lives, can be introduced into campus culture. Moreover, it will be much more convenience for students to express campus culture via internet as they use it much more often and greatly relies on it.

Although the present campus culture seems hard to be updated, the essential function of it should not be ignored. Needless to say, the remaining problems are expected and convinced to be solved through further constructions.
