Unit 6 I’m watching TV

一、教学目标

1.语言目标

语言知识:要求学生掌握以下词汇(mall, pool, TV show, cleaning ,reading, shopping, swimming, playing, watching TV, doing homework, eating

dinner, talking on the phone)

语言功能:学会谈论人们正在做什么, 能就发生的事做现场报道语言结构(日常交

际用语):现在进行时和一般疑问句及简单的答语What are you / they doing ? I'm / We're/ They're watching TV/doing homework.

Is he/ she watching TV? Yes, he/ she is. / No, he/ she isn't.

Do you want to go to a movie ? Yes, I do .

When do you want to go? At three o'clock

语言技能:

(1)能用现在进行时的各种形式进行准确的描述和表达正在发生的动作。

(2)能掌握现在进行时态及一些表示具体动作的词组搭配,如:watch TV, read books, play soccer, talk with/ to , be boring, go to the movies, want to do sth.

等。

(3)能在日常生活中恰当理解和运用本单元的话题范围内的单词和习惯用语。

2、情感目标:

培养同学间的友好相处,规范自己的行为,同时能提高他们的观察能力和判断能力,激发他们对学习英语的兴趣和热情,在接近生活常态的交际中能乐于模仿,敢于开口,积极参与,主动请教。

3、文化意识:

了解西方人是如何表达或描述正在进行的动作。

4、学习策略:

通过本单元的教学,我要求学生能通过上下文内在的逻辑联系,或在观察别人的行为和活动时能用现在进行时来准确地表达所发生或进行的动作。

二.教学重点及难点:

重点:---What’s he doing? ---He’s reading.

难点:现在进行时的用法和动词V-ing 形式的构成在交际中准确地运用现在进行时来描述或表达正在进行的动作。

三、教学策略:

(1)充分利用学生已有的知识和生活经验,创设生活化的真实情境,引导学生在运用语言中学习语言,然后在学习新的语言知识后创造性地运用语言(在做中学,学了就用)。

(2)开展多种类型的任务型活动,提供给学生合作交流的空间和时间,促使学生为完成任务和同学进行合作,为完成任务进行探究性学习。

四、教学过程设计

Step1. Warming – up

1 Duty report

The student who is on duty starts to make a duty report

2. Ask and answer

T: Usually, what time do you go to school? S1: ……

T: When does your father watch TV in the evening? S2: ……

T: Do you do your homework in the evening? S3: ……

T: When do you play soccer? S4: ……

T: what time do you usually eat dinner? S5: ……

4. The teacher asks the students to give more verbs phrases and write them down on the blackboard.(show many pictures to help the ss.)

Step 2. Presentation

1 Match the words and the activities.

The teacher shows the pictures in 1a. Then, the teacher asks questions:

----What’s he doing? (Picture 1) ----He’s making a telephone call.

Ask and answer just like that, and finish 1a.(Ss can guess the meaning of doing

homework, watching TV, cleaning, eating dinner and reading.)

The Ss read these V-ing words after the teacher.

2 Teach the Present Progressive.

1).Introduction show more pictures to introduce the Present Progressive tense.

T: What’s she/he doing? Ss: She/He is v-ing.

(Help the ss to answer the questions and show the sentences)

2) Let the Ss to say what the Present Progressive is. (现在进行时表示现在正在进行

或发生的动作, 它的表现形式为Be Verbs + V-ing ---- 这也即为它的结构式.)

3). Tell the difference

Write down the V-ing forms by another lines of go, watch, do, play and eat . Ask the Ss to have a look and find the difference between them. For example: go and going,

watch and watching, do and doing, etc. Then ask the Ss to read them again and do the following exercises (showing by flash card).

2. Show some pictures and let the students ask and answer in pairs. Talk abou t “What

are the people doing in the picture?”(showing the picture)

1.Let some ss act several actions and say :

“What’s he/she doing?” “She/He is cleaning the door.” (help Ss answer)

1)Act, ask and answer in groups(three ss in each group). Let the group members guess

“What’s she/he doing?” He/ She's talking.

Is he/ she talking? Yes, he/ she is. / No, he/ she isn't.

2)Talk the family doing.

七年级上Unit 2教学案例分析七年级上Unit 2单元主要教学一些物品的名称,如:学习用品,服装,水果,家具等等。要求学生能用下列句型进行交流。 A: What’s this in English? B: It’s a pen. A: Spell it, please. B: P_E_N, pen. 本单元安排在26个字母之后,因此,字母的认读,单词的拼写,以及单词的读音也是本课的重点之一。在课堂设计的过程中,考虑到这节课的具体情况:单词较少,绝大多数学生都已在小学学过,但是,由于我所教班级学生的英语水平比较薄弱,虽然他们在小学已经学过这部分内容,加上小学英语的要求和初中英语要求的不同,他们对知识点的掌握程度还达不到初中水平。鉴于以上种种原因,我尝试着用让学生自己教会自己的方法来完成这节课的教学。整节课,我设计了绘画比赛,问答学习,调查统计等几个环节,一环紧扣一环,让学生在潜移默化中自然而然地学到了新知识。实践证明,我这样的安排不仅调动了已会的同学,让他们尝到了为人师的成就感和自豪感;与此同时,还让那些不会的同学有了更多更细心的学习机会,排除了师生之间的隔阂,让他们从自己的同龄人中学习,他们感到自然,易于接受。这不失为本课的一大闪光点。 上课前,我准备了四张图画纸。在师生互相问好以后,我把全班分成A,B,C,D四大组,然后把这四张纸分给他们,每组一张。要求他

们在5分钟以内完成一副画。A组画水果,B组画学习用品,C组画家具,D组画服装及床上用品。接着,老师把他们的绘画作品收上来,然后指着下列物品(a pen, a book, a pencil, a ruler, a pencil case, a backpack, a pencil sharpener, a dictionary, an eraser问学生 T: What’s this in English?
