19900: Graduate Study or a Job (10’)

As a college student, each of us has a wonderful school life during the four years in our college. At the beginning of our college life, we never thought it would past so fast and suddenly we should finish it. We begin to think about our future lives. Should we leave school lives and find a job or should we continue our school life and start to graduate study.

On the one hand, some people hold the view that students continue graduate study should be better. Graduate study can give them better degree. If you get the higher degree you have more chance to get well-paid job in the future. Also your ability and quality can be improved. On the other hand, a great many students will choose another way. They choose to find a job. In this way, you can gain a lot of working-experience during the further three years. That’s what the graduate students really not have. We all know that the advantage of former is the disadvantage of the latter and each choice has its disadvantage.

In my opinion, I think no matter you choose which one, you must make sure you know what you really want and what you really need. You should make choice after your thinking. Which way would better is just base on your own condition.

1989: Overseas Studying (13’)

In recent years, overseas studying is extremely popular. More and more people are going abroad in the hope of studying for various reasons.

What cause the phenomenon; I think it has many reasons. Firstly, overseas study is now an immense asset in the competitive job market. Some of the qualities gained from going abroad include greater global awareness. So if you have the overseas studying experience, you will get more chance to find a high-paid job. Secondly, there is no doubt that your overseas study will change you in some way or another. You will develop a broader mind, a wider understanding of the world around you, better social skills, improved self-confidence and you’ll be more adaptable.So people choose to study abroad. Thirdly, you can learn your mother land better. Many people would think it’s good to study abroad but some people may not. They think it is a large cost, costly tuition fee and higher living expenses. Living in an unfamiliar environment is also a big problem.

In my opinion, if we have the chance and financial resources, we should seize the opportunity to go abroad and broaden our horizons. On the other hand, if conditions don’t permit, we can follow their studies in top universities at home. What counts is not the place where we study, but what we can learn.
