Well, to be honest, there are not many occasions where I have to work with a bunch of people. You know, i tend to do things alone. But I suddenly remember the time when I was involved in a group project. So I’d like to share with you that particular experience.

I can’t remember exactly when it was. But it was 5 or 6 years ago, when I was a sophomore student at college. Our teacher gave us an assignment, which was to set up a group and do an English presentation about college students’ leisure activities.

I remember there were 8 people in my team. And our objective(目标) was to produce

a report first and then give a presentation.

So the first thing we did was to divide our team into 3 groups. We need to conduct a survey(做调查) in the first place, so three of us spent time designing a questionnaire (问卷调查) and then gave out (分发) to students. We did it online, but at the same time, we also went to different classes in order to get more data. It was a very important way for us to collect information. Thankfully, we received lots of feedback. And later, another 3 team members started to analyze the outcome of the survey and prepare an outline for the report. Finally, the rest 2 members had to deliver an English presentation based on the report. Our group presentation went really well. The teacher praised(表扬) us for doing such a perfect job.

It was really a memorable experience for all of us and I felt a real sense of accomplishment(成就感). But what I was most proud of was how well our team worked together. I think each member showed a good level of responsibility and teamwork.

此段可不说(Now, I feel that working in a group is challenging, yet rewarding. The most fascinating part is that you have a to cooperate with each other, which means you have be a good team player. Sometimes, disagreements may happen, but everyone just tries to reach a compromise(达成妥协). So group activities or projects can cultivate team spirits(培养团队精神). )

Part3:

●Do you think it’s important for kids to join a team?

Learning to work as part of a team is very important to kids. Because on one hand, it will help children to develop many social skills, such as patience, communication, respect for others and compromise. On the other hand,It also helps them

develop confidence in themselves and trust in other people.

●Is the role of a leader important in a group?

Yeah, definitely. Group leaders are very essential. Leaders offer guidance(引导) to all members of the team to ensure they are fulfilling their roles(完成他们的角色). Team leaders also ensure that workers are motivated(有积极性的) to perform well. They also provide ideas and make critical decisions for the team.

●What personalities should a good leader have?

In my opinion, a good team leader should have several essential traits(特征). A good leader should value and respect his team members, otherwise, no one would listen to him. Besides, he or she should be decisive, confident and have strong communication skills.

●Can everyone become a leader?

Well, I’m afraid not. Being a leader requires certain personalities, not anyone possesses(拥有) these traits that a good leader should have. Although everyone can be taught to develop some leadership qualities, but I still believe not all of them can be effective leaders.

Sample 1: (合作完成一个学术项目)

Actually, I’ve enjoyed doing lot of things with a group of people, like travelling abroad,

discussing a current issue, doing an academic research or project. I still remember the time when I was involved in a group project. So I’d like to share with you that particular experience.

Sample 2: (享受一群人的旅行)

Actually, I’ve enjoyed doing lot of things with a group of people, like travelling abroad, discussing a current issue, doing an academic research or project. But I consider travelling with a bunch of friends to be the most enjoyable. So I’m gonna share with you one of these experiences.

I can’t remember exactly when it was. But it was 3 or 4 years ago, when I was a sophomore student at college. It was summer holiday. And I went on a journey to Thailand with 3 of my friends. We all felt super excited because it was our first time to travel abroad. Actually, before we set off. We did a lot of preparations. 2 people made a travelling plan or itinerary(行程计划). Like the tourist attractions and daily routines

and stuff like that. The other 2 people had to buy air tickets, book hotels and restaurants.

We really had a blast(玩得愉快) when we were in Thailand. We visited Bangkok and Phuket Island. We had lots of great memories.

I think it was really enjoyable and memorable because of various reasons. First of all, travelling with multiple people can be more affordable and save money. I mean, when you book your accommodation(住宿) or have meals, you can always split the bill (分摊). For example, when we were in Thailand, we had seafood, traditional Thai food, street food, etc. It didn’t cost too much per person. Another benefit is that, they can help you to take good pictures. We took lots of great photos of scenery and selfies (自拍) as well. Also, travel buddies (旅行伙伴) offer support to each other if something goes wrong. More importantly, travelling with friends is a great way to enhance friendship(增强友谊) as well.

Part3:

●What kind of jobs need people to work in a team?

There are a number jobs where people need to work in a team. After all, One can’t finish a task or a project merely by himself, which takes a great deal of (大量的) time.

A good example is professional players. Like basketball players have to cooperate to score a goal(进球). Boat racers need to work together to move their boat faster.

●How can children improve their social skills?

I suppose children can improve their social skills by spending time with a group of people. When they are not staying at school with their peers, they can join in some activities that require socializing. For instance, they can join a sports team or a club and talk to a variety of people.

●What are the benefits of boys and girls playing together?

There are several benefits of boys and girls playing together. One of the biggest benefits is that it can help them to learn to socialize with people who are different from them.

Sample:

Well, it’s a little tricky to talk about since it doesn’t happen a lot when

I unexpectedly meet someone you know. But I still remember that time when I met my old classmate, so I’m gonna share with you that particular experience.

It took place a couple of days ago when I was out for lunch, I bumped into(偶遇)

a high school classmate whom I haven’t seen since we graduated.

I was walking along the street when I saw him standing in front of a restaurant.

He hasn’t changed a bit,so I recognized him right away(马上). I approached(靠近) him and said hi; however, it took him a while to realize that I was his high school classmate. At that moment, I felt very awkward. Luckily, it didn’t last long and we started to give each other a quick update about our lives recently, such as where we are working currently, our families and. I was surprised to know that he is a senior leader(高级领导) of a large company and he was married two years ago and he even has a child. Of course, we swapped(交换)phone numbers and promised to keep in touch in future.

Since we were both in a hurry, we didn’t spend much time chatting to each other. However, it always feels good when you unexpectedly meet a long-lost friend(很久不见的朋友). If we had had more time,we’d probably have reminisced(回忆)about our high school memories with all the crazy things that we did back then.

part3:

●Are there any meetings that people need to plan in advance?

I don’t think it necessary for people to always plan meetings in advance (提前). It might be useful to plan somethings like locations, activities. But that’s not essential. Sometimes it’s nice to do something that is spontaneous(自然发生的), which is more fun.

●Are there any jobs related to unexpected things?

Yeah, there are quite a few jobs that are related to unexpected things. For example, teachers may experience something unexpected at work. You know, children are unpredictable(无法预测的). Besides, police, lawyers, dentists may also come across something unexpected every now and then(时常).

●Why do friends meet up?

Well, friends meet up each other because they just want to catch up(叙旧) and maintain friendship(维护友谊). They may hang out with each other, talk to each other about the things happened lately. Or they just enjoy each others’ company(陪伴).

Sample:

Well, people change their opinions from time to time. It happens to me a lot, actually. I’m going to share with you a time when I altered (转变) my opinion towards a country that I visited.

I can’t remember the exact time and date when I visited there. But it was 5 years ago. It was summer holiday and I decided to travel around Thailand with a bunch of my close friends. None of us had ever been there before. So we felt really thrilled(激动的) but very worried. Anyway, that was the first time that we travelled abroad.

You know, I used to have some stereotypes(刻板印象) about Thailand. I had thought it was a dangerous place, because I had heard a lot of things, like drugs, riots and that kind of stuff. We were even worried about how we could contact people if we were in danger. Besides, we thought Thailand was a really poor country, there were slumps all over the place(到处). And most people might be lady-boys and dark-skinned.

But when we arrived there, we found ourselves in a completely new world. We discarded (抛弃) our opinions since day 1. We first visited Bangkok, the capital city. It was such a diverse(多元化的) and vibrant(充满活力的) city. There were visitors from all countries. Also, there were no slumps. We had a real blast(玩得愉快) there. We never thought that there could be so many high-rises(高楼). Everyone we met during the journey was so hospital(友好的). They were always smiling to people to show their friendliness.

That was definitely a mind-blowing(让人大开眼界的) experience, but it was also thought-provoking(令人深思的). I realized that the best way to explore a country or a culture is to be there in person. Seeing is believing (眼见为实).

Part3:

●Do children like to change opinions?

I think they do, but it is a little hard for them. I think children are more emotional than adults, and this means that their opinions are based on emotions. Emotional decisions, in turn, are very hard to change.

●When do people change opinions?

People change opinion when they find some evidence that is against their previously held opinion. If they don’t change, they suffer from guilt. although they may resist at first, they slowly do change.

●Who do young people turn to for advice?

I think young people mainly turn to family, especially their parents or some people like teachers for advice. Some youth also turn to their peers for suggestions. For example, when they want to receive advice for their academics, they will turn to their teachers or classmates. When they want some advice on improving their work, they might ask their parents or colleagues.

Anyway, it really depends on what kind of matters are concerned.

●Do people like to give opinion about politics?

Well, I think people in my country are not shy in expressing their own views when it comes to politics. And I think this is good because it means people are politically active and they care about their country, they also care about domestic and international affairs (国内和国际事务).

Sample:

You know, English is the most widely used language in the world. People from most non-English speaking countries start to learn English from an early age(从很小的时候). In China, English is a mandatory subject(必修科目) since primary school. However, students rarely have the chance to talk to native speakers in English. They focus more on reading and writing. I’d like to share with you the first time when I spoke to an American in English.

I can’t remember exactly when it was. But it was almost 13 years ago when I was still

a middle school student. I lived in a really small town where there were no foreign visitors. One day, our school invited an American teacher and organized an “English Corner” activity for students. Everyone was excited but shy, because few students really talked to others in a foreign language.

At the beginning, nobody voluntarily(自愿地) came up to start a conversation. I guess they just didn’t know what to say. All of a sudden, I came over to him and started my first dialogue in a foreign language. We talked about our hobbies and he shared his opinions on Chinese food. I found that speaking in real life was a little different from what we learned from textbook.

I was pretty nervous at that time, to be perfect honest. I was afraid of making mistakes.

But I still tried my best. When the American teacher said “ Your English is very fluent.”

I felt a sense of proud and achievement. It was great to show off(展示;炫耀) my English in front of a big crowd. Also, It gave me more confidence and motivation to learn English well.

Part3:

●At what age should children start learning a foreign language?

Well, most people think that children should start learning a second language as early as possible. To be more precise, I have to say children should acquire a new language at the age of 4 or five. Studies have confirmed that the creativity and critical thinking skills will be greatly enhanced (增强) if children learn a second language at a younger age. I guess it’s because they have the natural ability to learn. They learn things much quicker.

●Which skill is more important, speaking or writing?

Well for me the more important one is speaking because when you can speak it is easy for you to write. There are so many people who knows how to write but could not utter(说;讲) to speak clearly. Communication comes first in speaking.

●Does a person still need to learn other languages, if he or she is good at English?

I would say they don’t need to. Because English has become a global language, it is the most widely used(最广泛使用的) language across the world. No matter you travel or do business with foreign companies, you can communicate in English. However, if people work for a company that requires another foreign language, they’d better learn it.

●Do you think minority languages will disappear?

Unfortunately, yes. I think it is already happening. In China, for example, there are 55 minority ethnic groups (少数民族). Each group has their own unique languages. But nowadays, more and more people learn and speak Chinese Mandarin or other languages like English since they are born. So, their own languages are spoken less and less. I’m afraid that those minority languages will gradually disappear in the future?

Sample:

I have to say that I just forget things from time to time, I’m a very forgetful person. but the most stressful was when I forgot my phone.

I do almost everything with phone and without it, I feel lost and upset. Whether it’s doing my banking or chatting with friends, most of the time I’ll reach for my phone instead of my laptop.

There was one day I was taking a taxi home and had a lot on my mind. I was lost in thought(陷入沉思)and put my phone on the seat. I wasn’t really paying attention when the taxi dropped me off (让...下车)at home. I got out, paid the driver, and didn’t really notice that my phone was laying on the back seat. The cab drove off and I unlocked the door to my apartment. It took me quite a few(许多) minutes to notice that something was missing —my mobile phone.

I became really worried because I didn’t know how to contact the driver or even which taxi company it was that had taken me home. I thought the driver wouldn’t have known who the phone belonged to, either.

I had a spark of inspiration(一道灵感) and realized I could call it from my laptop. I rang my own number over and over again (一遍又一遍). Maybe another passenger or the driver noticed, but after several attempts(尝试) the driver answered. I explained what had happened, and asked if they would be kind enough to bring it back to me. I gave them my address and had some money prepared for when they arrived. I felt relieved and lucky that I was going to get my phone back.

I heard a knock on the door —it was the taxi driver with my phone in his hand. I was smiling ear to ear(笑的合不拢嘴)and offered him some money. I breathed a sigh of relief(松了一口气).

That experience also acted as(作为) a reminder because I have realized that it’s always important to keep an eye on (注意) our personal belongings.

Part 3

●Why do people lose their things?

These days whenever we go outside we have so many belongings to carry like the mobile phone, the sunglasses or a wallet , car keys and more. I have observed that some of my friends always waste precious time searching for misplaced or lost belongings. I think people who lose their things very often are not well organized.

●What kinds of things do people usually lost?

Sometimes we lose keys and on many occasions we misplace a comb, clips, a pair of socks.

I have a few dozens of single socks at home . What you lose mostly depends on the circumstances and the place where you go. Sometimes people get pick-pocketed(被扒手) and lose precious things like mobile phones.

●What can people do to find things they’ve lost?

In my opinion the first step is to try and remember about the places one has visited when you try to search for something that has been lost. If something is of great value(贵重物品), is it best to report to the police.

Another measure that can be taken is to put a notice to make others realize that you have lost something and where they have to return it in case they find it.

●What can people do to avoid losing their stuff?

We all are well aware that we have to be careful when we don’t want to lose something.

The keys should always be in a key-chain the money should always be in a wallet in deep or safe pocket so that it doesn’t fall off. Last but not least is keeping the things well organized at their proper place. Or they can create a check list (检查清单) for themselves.

Sample:

Well, generally speaking, I enjoy all genres(类型) of music, ranging from pop to rock and roll to folk music. I’m also into music of different languages as long as they sound appealing to me. But in certain circumstances, music can be annoying(烦人的). So I’m gonna share with you one of these time when I didn’t enjoy the music.

I can’t remember the exact time and date. But it was last year, a music festival was organized by our college. Some local bands gave a performance there. However, I didn’t enjoy it at all.

The main reasons for it that, the main lead singer was lip-syncing(对嘴型) on his songs, he was not actually singing, I was very disappointed.

Everybody wanted to listen to his voice and finally they started singing live. But when he started singing, his voice was cracking, I was disgruntled(不满意的). The musician's also looked amateur(业余的) in playing instruments. He didn't even interact with(与...互动) the audience who were at first excited about the show. At times it was difficult to even comprehend what they were playing.

Moreover, the music was too loud and the singer's voice was not audible(听得见的) to the audience due to the loud music. Their performance was very boring and

unpleasant.

I wasn't enjoying it at all. I even wanted to leave the festival. I also heard people murmuring(低声抱怨) about how bad the performance was.

I remember many people blaming the event manager for this bad arrangements.

So, this was the event in which I didn't like the music played.

Part3:

●Why do so many young people spend a lot of money on concerts?

I think it is mainly because of the experience. Hearing a singer on the screen can never be the same as the feeling of hearing them live. Also, I think it’s about spending quality time with friends.

●Do you think older people like the same music as young people?

Well, they definitely have different preferences(偏好).I feel that young people are more into pop, rock music, basically any music that they can dance to. They don’t care about the lyrics; they care more about the beats and the rhythm(节拍和节奏). Old people are more into soft, slow music. They don’t music that is too loud.

●Do you think music concerts are suitable for old people to attend?

I think it really depends on what kind of music concerts they attend. For instance, if they attend classical music concerts like piano concerts, they may feel enjoyable and relaxing. However, if it’s a rock concert or a pop music concert, they may consider it to be loud and noisy.

●Why do shopping malls often have background music?

Well, it’s true that almost every shopping mall play background music. And I believe the music is there to provide a more enjoyable shopping experience for customers. We remember shopping through not only sight but also through music playing in the background.

Sample:

Well, it can be understandable for a toddler(学步的儿童) or a preschooler(学前儿童) to be naughty and cranky(暴躁的).

However, it is the responsibility of parents to teach their children some basic

manners(基本礼仪).

Sometimes children’s misbehavior(不当行为) can embarrass their parents. Honestly, there are not too many incidents when I witnessed children behaving improperly in public. But I remember a really annoying(烦人的;令人讨厌的) little boy I saw in public, So, I would like to share with you that particular experience.

I can’t remember exactly when it happened. But it was several weeks ago. I was on my way back home and I was on the subway. At one of the stations, a mom with her children came into the train and found a seat. The little boy looked 5 or 6 years old with a small plastic bag on his hand.

A few minutes later, that little boy took out the plastic bag and started eating the sandwich inside. It looked as if he was staving. People started staring at him, because the smell of the sandwich permeated(弥漫) the air, which was pretty unpleasant. And normally, it’s forbidden to eat and drink on the subway. Maybe the child was not aware of this. But his mom was just looking at her phone and completely ignored(忽略) this. And nobody on the train reminded that little boy. But what happened later really made others annoyed, The little boy just throw the bag on the floor and started to watch cartoon without using earphones, which was really noisy.

I’m a tolerant (宽容的) person but I couldn’t stand it anymore. I told the boy to pick up the plastic bag and stop bothering people, I said it was a public place and it was inappropriate(不合适) to do so. His mom, instead of getting angry, apologized immediately. That little boy also felt guilty of (愧疚) what he had done.

Part3:

●What bad behaviour do children usually have?

Normally, the bad behavior that children usually have include creating noise, breaking things, disrespecting others, scribbling(乱涂乱写) on the walls and stealing small things like pencils, erasers.

●How should parents stop their children from behaving badly at public?

I think parents should stop their children from doing bad things at home. There should be no double standards(双重标准). Moreover, I think parents should not just stop children from doing something bad but also tell them why it is bad to do it so that their children will realize that it’s wrong to do such things.

●Are parents these days stricter than in the past?

I’m not sure but I suppose parents these days are not stricter than in the past. I think it is mainly due to (由于) two reasons, the first is the strict laws against physical punishment and the second reason is the influence of western culture.

●Whose influence on children is more? Parents or their Friends?

I think in the early years, the parents influence is greater as children spend the majority of(大多数的) their time with the children. But as children grow older, they spend considerably more time with their friends, and I think during these years, their friends have more impacts on the way they behave.

Sample:

Time never comes back. Nobody likes wasting time. But lots of people still do that every now and then(时常). For me, I think I have also wasted a lot of time, I’m gonna share with you one of these situations.

It just happened a couple of months ago, when the COVID-19 pandemic went viral(迅速传播) in my country. And the whole city went into lockdown(封锁). Everyone had to stay at home in order to reduce the risk of getting infected(感染) by the virus.

It was a shock for everybody as they had never faced or even imagined such a situation before. But some people were gloating(幸灾乐祸) about it because they didn’t need to go to work or go to school.

For the first three or four weeks after the lockdown. I was staying at home with my family.I thought it would be over soon. So, basically everyday, I was watching TV shows, chatting with my friends online or playing games. And I gained much weight(体重增加了).

Actually, before the lockdown, I was planning to take the IELTS exam.

But I hadn’t made any preparations yet. I just kept thinking, “I will start preparing as soon as the lockdown is over”. However, the government kept on extending the lockdown.

I knew there were a lot of materials for IELTS available online. I wrote a to-do list to manage my time. But I got lazier since the lockdown, I didn’t want to practice my speaking or writing or listening. Instead, I just squandered(虚度;浪费) my time. Several weeks passed, I did nothing about it and realized that there were not much time left. I had wasted plenty of time, indeed. I felt regretful(后悔的) because it would have been the best time to study.

Part3:

●How can we avoid wasting time?

Well, there are some effective ways for us to manage our time. First and foremost, it’s essential to create a to-do list so that you have a clear direction, you know what you are going to do. You will make the most of(充分利用) your time. In addition, you should

also consider the order of the things you do to maximize(最大化) your time.

●Is time management important?

I believe it’s quite important to manage time. If we can’t manage our time properly, and effectively (有效地), we might waste a lot of time. It will have some negative impact on our work and life, for example, you may not be able to work efficiently.

●Should parents help children manage time?

In my opinion, parents should help children manage their time. Because children lack of the skill and ability to manage their time well. Therefore, parents should show the best way to manage time and tell the not to waste time. Children will definitely benefit from(从...受益) that.

●Do you think relaxing is a waste of time?

I don’t think relaxing is a waste of time. Actually, everyone needs to relax or have a break. Anyway, no one can work without stopping. When we relax, we can rest our minds so that we can be more productive and more concentrated. Otherwise, people would feel exhausted(精疲力尽的).

Sample:

Well, it’s a little tricky to talk about this topic, because I rarely came across(遇到) situations when I lost my way. You know, nowadays, digital map is very useful, which can help you find the correct direction. Then I suddenly remember the time I was travelling in Beijing and I got lost. So I’m gonna share with you that particular experience.

I can’t remember precisely the exact time and date, bu it happened just year year when I was travelling around Beijing. In Beijing, there are lots of historical remains (历史遗迹). But what fascinated me the most(最吸引我的是) was the Hutongs, or these traditional alleyways. because they showcase(展现了) what life used to be like in the past. I went to one of these alleyways(小巷子) by myself in the morning. And I took loads of photos of what I saw.

You know, it’s just like a maze(迷宫), where there are lots of branches. When I decided to go back, I found I was lost in the middle of nowhere(在偏僻处,在无人处), I couldn’t find my way back.

I lost my bearing (不知道所在地方). I tried to use the digital map on my phone to help me find the way. But that was not working well since it was a dead end(死路). I started to look around for help. I was feeling a little terrified(惊吓的), I was afraid of getting robbed or something. Moreover, I didn’t want to bother people and go to people’s houses to ask for direction. Fortunately, a few minutes later, I saw an old man walking towards me. He was really kind-hearted. I told him that I was lost and he took me to get to the main road. I really appreciated his help.

I think having a good sense of direction(方向感) is quite vital sometimes, especially when you are in a place where digital map doesn’t seem to work so well.

Part3:

●Why do some people get lost more easily than others?

Well, that’s a very interesting question. I guess some people get lost easily just because they don’t have a good sense of direction(方向感). When they are in a new place, it’s hard for them find the way. But of course, nowadays, online maps can solve that problem. People can always rely on maps to find the correct direction.

●Do you think it’s important to be able to read a map?

Honestly, I don’t think it important to be able to read a map. Because digital maps have become more and more widely used(广泛使用). People can depend on maps on their smartphone to find their way. Also, these maps can even show different ways or routines to get to your destination.

●Do you think is it important to do some preparation before you travel to

new places?

Yeah, definitely, it’s necessary to make some preparations in advance(提前) before visiting new places. Perhaps people speak a different language, you can learn some basic common expressions like “how much” “how are you”. And also, you should check out the places you are going to, like the way to get there.

●How can people find their way when they are lost?

There is no need to worry when people are lost. They can always take advantage

of(利用) their phones to find their location. And the online map can help you find your way out and tell you the right direction to go.

Sample:

Well, it’s a little bit tricky to decide which one to talk about because I have taken on so many journeys by car. Maybe I can share with you one of the most enjoyable journey I had when I was travelling around Chengdu.

I just can’t remember precisely when it was because, you know, I have a terrible memory for dates. But it was almost 5 years ago when I was travelling around Chengdu, a major city of western China. I was on my summer vacation, and my parents decided to take me to Chengdu. You know, Chengdu is such a popular tourist destination, which attracts millions of visitors every year. The most fascinating part about Chengdu is the pandas because there is a panda base there, where you can see a lot of adorable giant pandas.

Normally, people would get there by plane or high-speed train, but my dad wanted to do something special. He decided to take us there by driving his car. It took us more than 12 hours. I had never been in a car for that long. Honestly, I felt dizzy and felt like throwing up.

Anyway, the first destination was the panda base, it is located in the outskirts of(郊区) the city. We got there in the morning because pandas were fed in the morning and were active at that time. You know, we actually took the subway first and then transferred to bus to get there.

When we arrived there, it was overflowing with(充满) visitors from across the world. It was so clamorous(喧闹的). And we waited in line for 20 minutes to buy a ticket. I still felt so thrilled(激动的) to see real pandas in the flesh(亲眼;亲自). They looked super cute and cuddly(令人想抱的;惹人喜爱的). Some pandas were gorging on(狼吞虎咽的吃) bamboos, which were their favorite food. Some were climbing trees. And a few of them were crawling and prowling around(徘徊). Visitors couldn’t help taking photos of them.

After that ,we drove to the most famous walking street in Chengdu, where you could find lots of boutique shops (精品服装店) and taste the most authentic(正宗的) and traditional local food. The walking street was bustling(繁忙的) and also jam-packed with(拥挤的) tourists. A car journey might be tiring, but anyway, we really had a

blast(玩得高兴).

Part3:

●Why do people like to have private cars?

People like to have private cars for various reasons. Firstly, it’s easier for them to get around(到处逛), which can save a lot time. Especially when people want to go to places where public transits are not available, driving a car would be a great choice. Secondly, they can take a road trip with friends and enjoy the view along the road.

●What are the differences between bicycles and private cars?

There are some major differences between them. Bicycles are slower and more environmentally friendly. I mean, they don’t generate(产生) any harmful gases. Moreover, ride a bicycle is a great exercise for people. However, cars are much faster, and people can go anywhere with more people if they want to go to some far away places, but cars may be stuck in traffic congestion(交通堵塞).

●what’s the difference between men and women’s preference on cars?

As I see it, women tend to be into smaller cars. They like cars like Mini Cooper. But men prefer bigger cars, like these big SUVs. Besides, a fascinating appearance (吸引人的外表)maybe more attractive to women. But for men, they focus more on the performance(性能)of cars.

●What will cars be like in the future?

Well, cars in the future will have more features and functions. And they will use some renewable energy(可再生资源) like solar energy so that they won’t generate waste gases. Maybe cars in the future will use electricity to provide power.

We all take risks in our life. Sometimes we realize we are taking a risk, and sometimes we don’t even realize that we are taking a risk. For instance, crossing a busy road is also taking a risk.

In these situations we don’t even realize that we are taking risks. Here, I would like to talk about a situation when I took a risk and it had a positive result.

I have a pet dog, Nora, whom I take for a walk in the evening every day.Our neighbors have a German shepherd, Bruno, which is very aggressive. Everyone in our street is afraid of that dog. Even I am very afraid of that dog.

They tell all of us not to be afraid of their dog as it is well trained (训练有素) and would not harm any known person. But Bruno’s growl(咆哮) is worse than the Corona pandemic. Normally they keep their dog leashed(用绳子牵着) all the time.

One day, as I was walking in the street with Nora, Bruno escaped and came running towards us. Nora ran the other side and her leash slipped from my hand. I knew I had to act quickly and save Nora. I came between that dog and Nora. In that one second, I

could imagine myself being bitten at several places and blood oozing out(流出) from all of them. It was a big risk, but at that moment the safety of my dear Nora was the most important thing for me. When I came between Bruno and Nora, I took Bruno’s name in a stern voice and told him to sit. Surprisingly, he sat still and started wagging its tail(摇尾巴). I had a sigh of relief(松了一口气). In the meantime (同时), my brother had come out and Nora was safe in his arms. I felt so happy that I was able to save Nora. So, this was the risk I took which had a positive result.

part3:

●Why do some people enjoy extreme sports?

From my perspective, those who really enjoy doing extreme sports probably like the feeling of excitement or they just want to challenge themselves to discover their potentials. Because extreme sports stimulate(刺激) all your senses, they can learn how to stay calm in a very stressful situation. It can help to overcome your fear (克服恐惧) and make you confident, I guess.

●Are action films popular in your country?

I think action films are extremely popular in my country. There are lots of famous International actors, like Jackie Chen, Jet Lee and so on. People are impressed by the special effects which make them feel excited. Also, some Hollywood blockbuster(大片) movies are popular as well.

●Do you think it’s a good thing that a leader likes taking risks?

From my perspective, I would say risk-taking is a really important quality for a good leader. Because if they are not willing to take risks, they’ll always stay in their comfort zone(舒适区) and be afraid some unpredictable factors. Leaders should take risks to learn their full potential and learn how to deal with complicated situations.

●Do you think men and women would take a difference choice about

risk-taking? what about the young and the old?

It’s a very tricky question to answer. I think women are more cautious (谨慎), they like to consider all the potential problems, whereas(然而) men are more likely to take risks without thinking too much about the consequences (后果). As for the young and the old. Well, the old tend to avoid taking risks while the young love to challenge themselves and explore.

Sample:

Making a mistake is quite natural for human beings. In fact, everyone makes mistakes. Well, I have no hesitation(毫不犹豫) to admit that I make a lot of mistakes. While some of these mistakes don’t really affect us that negatively, the others harm very dearly just like the mistake I made in my high school years. It happened about 15 years ago when I studied and prepared for the wrong subject.

when you are in high school and young, I guess that being stupid is allowed. However, the problem was that I was probably a bit more stupid than the other boys of my age. And, that’s probably why I seldom cared to write down the schedules for the test as a high school student.

Of course, such carelessness and stupidity of mine didn’t exactly cause much of a problem with my studies or test preparation since I could memorize them all by

heart(牢记). But, that just didn’t happen unfortunately when I was a 9th-grade student and was preparing for my mid-term test(期中考试) for the geography class. By the way, I was never really a good geography student, so I had to spend a great deal of (大量的) extra time studying it in order to get some respectable score on it.

But, when I took my seat in the class and got the test paper in my hands, I couldn’t really believe my own eyes as the test paper, which I was looking at, was actually a test paper of social science. For a minute, I thought that the test supervisor(监考员) must have made a mistake in picking up the right test papers from his office, but when I asked him about it, he told me that it was I who had made the mistake. The supervisor was right.

Anyway, the mistake affected me really badly, primarily because (主要因为) I couldn’t answer the test questions properly, which also meant that I ended up getting a very poor score in my social science exam. But, the good thing was I finally learned my lesson because of this terrible mistake and started to write down all schedules afterwards.

Part3:

●What can we learn from our mistakes?

Well, everyone makes mistakes from time to time, which is inevitable(不可避免的). We can learn experience from our mistakes so that we have confidence to face similar situations. In addition, making mistakes helps us to build strategy(策略) and good judgment.

●Do children make mistakes easily?

Yes, I believe so. Children tend to make more mistakes. This is mainly because they are too young, they are not cautious enough and they have more curiosity as well. You know, they just want to try everything without really thinking about the consequences(不考虑后果).

●What should parents do if their children make mistakes?

When children make mistakes, parents should by no means(决不) punish or blame their children. In my opinion, they should learn how to be tolerant and supportive. They should know allowing children to fail is important. It’s a great way for them to learn a lesson. For example, if children throw garbage about(乱丢垃圾), parents should ask them to pick up the garbage first and tell them why they shouldn’t do that.

●How do children benefit from using dictionaries?

Using dictionaries is quite beneficial to children, especially when they are learning a language. They can know how a word is used in various situations and contexts (语境). What’s more, it’s a good way to expand children’s vocabulary. Also, they can always refer to a dictionary if they don’t know how to pronounce a word.

Sample:

To be perfect honest, I’m always ready to give a hand to others. It’s a little tricky to talk about because there are so many situations where I helped people, especially my family members. Then I suddenly remember the time I helped my sister to do something, So I’m gonna share with you that particular experience.

I just can’t remember precisely when it was. But it was a couple of months back. You know, my sister was moving to another apartment and she called me the day before, asking me if I could help her pack her belongings.

Though I felt tired from daily work and I had wanted to hang out with my friends, I still said yes to her.

Moving to a new place is not an easy task, which involves lots of physical work. I remember I just spent two whole days helping her sort and pack all her stuff, including her clothes, books, and even some small furniture and household appliances(家用电器). And then I had to carry them onto a large truck. It was really strenuous(费力的;繁重的) work, I have to say. But anyway, we spent some quality time together.

It was also rewarding(有回报的) as well. Because my sister treated to a fabulous dinner in a restaurant. She appreciated my help.

Now, I feel that helping others can also make me happier and make my life more meaningful. So, that’s the time when I helped my sister.

Part three question type 1: comparing 对比类 ●Time comparison 时间对比 Are houses nowadays, the same as houses 30 years ago in your country? ●Social group comparison 社会群体对比 Do men and women like the same types of books? Do old and young people like the same holidays? ●Geographic comparison 地域对比 “Are houses in North China the same as houses in South China?” “Do men and women like the same hobbies?” 一般回答:“I like men and women like different hobbies, for example men are fond of many types of sporting activities such as football and basketball. Also they prefer things like watching action movies and going to bars, but women like hobbies such as shopping, watching TV, singing KTV and chatting online.” 模范答案:“Well obviously there are a number of clear differences. However, I guess that the most significant would be that men tend to prefer sporting activities such as football or basketball. Whereas in contrast women prefer things like shopping for clothes. In addition to this, another possible distinction might be that men usually like watching films; while on the other hand, women are more likely to prefer watching soap operas on TV.” 开场白: Well obviously… Well undoubtedly…..Well clearly…. Well unmistakably….Sure, without a doubt…Unquestionably… 关于“有区别”的概述(类似第一部分的类型类问题,相关表达可以互换): There are a number of underlying differences here. There a variety of possible differences here. 雅思口语Part2答案:成为你朋友的人

雅思口语Part2答案:成为你朋友的人参考答案: Though I have many friends, my friendship with them grew up with times and mutual understanding. But I can recall that my friendship with George grew up almost all of a sudden. George is senior to me by 2-3 years and I did not meet him until I was in the 4th semester in my University. One of my term final exam's schedules was changed and I did not know that. According to my previous exam schedule I reached my University and was totally confused what to do when I heard that the exam was already over. I went to our Departmental head's office and he could not find a way around of it. He blamed me that I should have been more careful about the changes. I explained him that I was sick and did not come to university for 3-4 days and that made me unaware of the exam schedule changes. Then I found that someone who was sitting next to me in the departmental head's office asked me to meet the course teacher and explain the situation. He then escorted me to our course teacher's room and talked to the teacher. It seemed to me that George was already personally known to our teacher and they had an intimate relationship. Hearing everything the teacher agreed to arrange an exam for me next day in his office room. My friendship with George grew up after that event and albeit our age differences we found that we had many common interests and habits. We started spending time and I visited his home many times. We worked in a retail shop for about 6 months and that helped us become more intimate.

雅思口语Part2参考答案之开心的事

雅思口语Part2参考答案之开心的事 一、参考范文 There are numerous happy events in my life that I can recall and among them I would like to talk about the day that I was blessed with a little sister. This was an event that I still recall vividly. I was then only 7-8 years old and when I saw a little angel was crying on my mother's lap, I became the happiest man in the world. I was the only son of my parents and when I heard that I will have another sibling, I got very excited and I was counting days when this brother/ sister of mine will come. I speculated and imagined lots of things I would do with my sibling. On the day that my sister came in to the world was one of the happiest days of my life. For the first time I felt a strong urge to kiss this little fairy child. She was so beautiful and adorable that I thanked God for the gift. My mother asked me to hold her and kiss her but I was afraid to touch her as I thought that might hurt her. I felt like I was flying on that day. My mother gave birth of the baby in a hospital and I was so happy and attached by the event that I denied to return home at night. I stayed in the hospital cabin for about 4-5 days till my mother and sister came home. I came back home with the most precious gift of the world. 二、答题思路 Tips for answering this Cue card topic: You are free to talk about any events of your life that made you happy. But the nurses uniform doesnt always live up to expectation and have you ever seen a fat air stewardess? 因为喜欢看空姐。说白了就是喜欢制服。虽然护士也穿制服,但和空姐最大的区别是:护士有时候经常让你失望。因为经常能看见肥护士而肥空姐几乎没有。 I arrive quickly at my destination and staff treat customers very well with frequent drinks and meals. 雅思口语Part2答案:在校学习的课程

雅思口语Part2答案:在校学习的课程 参考答案: The subject that I'd like to describe is Physics that was taught in our school. We had this subject in each year of our high school and each year a new teacher used to taught us the subject. Even we had to read physics in college as Science was my major. I remember Mr. Alex, Burter, John, David and Mrs. Jeniffer took Physics in different years. We were lucky to have good Physics teachers who could make the subject interesting and enjoyable. Our teachers used to tell us stories first and then would explain the theory, experiment or math of the text books. They would then relate the story with the study. Later they would explain us the real examples and facts. Sometimes they used to take us to the Physics labs and explain how something works. I have learned numerous things of physics from simple definition of mass to the complex explanation of Einstein's Theory of Relativity. My foundation of physics grew up and expanded with the help of those teachers. The subject itself is utterly interesting if one can have passion for it. It is one such subject that one would start loving it if s/he starts understanding the underlying concepts of it. Physics is all around us and the lesson I learned from my School had helped me greatly throughout my higher academic years. Tips for answering this cue card topic: You should pick a real academic subject like Math, English, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, and Biology to answer this cue card. Then quickly take some notes including the following: 1. In which class was it taught? 2. Do not pick a subject taught in your college or university level as the cue card is asking you to talk about a subject taught in your school. 3. Try to remember a teacher's name. You can mention multiple teachers' name as the same subject in school is taught by different teachers in different classes. 4. Give a short detail what the subject. For example: The Geography would discuss about the Earth, the other planet in the solar system, atmosphere, and climate changes etc. and you should mention those. 5. Next describe how the teacher taught the subject and what things you learned from the class. 6. Mention some interesting things you learned from the class and how the teacher made things easier to understand for you. 7. Describe how interested you were about the subject and the class. 8. Relate how this subject has later helped you/ influenced you in your education and learning process. 9. Finally give a conclusion by mentioning how beneficial the subject for students. If you pick Math try to focus on the following issues: 1. The teacher was very good explaining the intricacies of the subject. 2. You learned many theories and formulas of math. 3. This teacher explained how math would be helpful for the rest of the life and academic years.
