开始觉得奥巴马的获胜演讲很精彩，继而觉得麦凯恩的败选演讲也很好，而且相比之下，奥巴马稍显做作，麦凯恩更淳朴真诚。但最好的是希拉里的退选演讲，她具备了奥巴马的激情和华丽，还有麦凯恩的坦荡和勇气，除此之外还包含了前面2位所欠缺的，她还有深深的爱和同情。现在觉得我以前的博客中对奥巴马、麦凯恩演讲的评价不全面，如果只有一篇演讲可以入选教科书的话，应该是希拉里的这一篇。

非常非常感谢你们。这不是一场计划中的集会，但是我真的喜欢与你们在此相聚。(掌声)

今天我要以感谢开始，我要对你们所有的人说我是多么的感谢，对所有为这次竞选倾注了心血和希望的人，那些驱车很远的距离站在路边挥动自制牌子的人，那些节衣缩食筹集捐款的人，那些前去敲门和打电话（助选）的人，那些与人交谈、有时甚至与朋友和邻居争论的人（掌声），那些通过电子邮件和在线捐助的人，那些为我们共同的事业做出如此大的牺牲的人，那些曾出席我们集会的父母们，他们把自己的儿女放在肩上轻声说“看，你能达到自己的目标。”（掌声）对那些年轻人(掌声)...就像来自俄亥俄的Mayfield 的13岁的Anne Riddell，她为了去迪斯尼乐园攒了2年的钱，但她决定用这笔钱与她的母亲一道去宾夕法尼亚做志愿者。感谢那些老年人，那些儿童朋友，感谢纽约和阿肯色的人们（掌声）…他们跨越整个国土，与每一个愿意倾听你们为什么支持我的人交谈。还要感谢那些为我们的选举投票的八、九十岁的妇女…她们出生时妇女还没有投票权。

所以，对所有投票给我的人，还有我对你们许下重大诺言的人们，我对你们的承诺以及对我们所追求的进步的承诺没有改变。

你们的故事激励并打动了我，故事有悲也有喜，组成了我们的生活。你们对我们国家的奉献使我变得卑微。一千八百万人来自不同阶层（掌声）…女人和男人，年轻人和老年人，拉丁美洲裔和亚裔，非洲裔和白种人（掌声）…富人，穷人，中产阶级，同性恋和异性恋，你们都与我在一起。（掌声）

今后，无论何时何地我将尽我一切所能继续坚定地与你们在一起。我们共有的梦想值得我们去为之战斗。

请记住，我们为那名抚养年轻女儿的单亲母亲而战斗，她要同时工作和上学，她告诉我，“为了女儿，我要做这一切提升自己。”

我们为那名抓住我手臂的妇女而战斗。她问我：“你将如何确保我获得医疗保险？”接着她哭了，因为即使她干3份工作，她仍然买不起保险。

同时我请求你们跟我一道尽自己的努力为奥巴马助选，就像你们当初支持我一样（掌声）。

我曾在参议院与他共事4年。在这次竞选中我与他在一起16个月。我在台上从头到尾与他辩论了22场。对他的候选人资格我有最直观的感受，我见到他的力量与决心，他的优雅风度与勇气。

在他的生活中，作为团体的组织者、在美国参议员作为联邦参议员，奥巴马实现着美国梦。为这梦想的实现他奉献自己的一切。在这次竞选中，他鼓舞了如此多的人加入到民主党的进程中并投资于我们的未来。

当我开始竞选时，我希望能重返白宫，希望确保我们有一位使我们国家重返和平、繁荣和进步之路的总统。这恰恰是我们要做的----确保奥巴马于2009年1月20日步入白宫椭圆形办公室的门（掌声）。

我清楚我们大家都知道这是一场艰苦的战斗，但民主党是一个大家庭。现在是我们重新系起我们团结的纽带的时候，为我们共同的理想、我们珍爱的价值观和我们热爱的祖国而团结向前。

也许我们开始于各不相同的行程，但今天我们殊途同归。我们都朝着同一个目标前进，

为了在11月获胜并使我们的国家转向成功之路，我们比以往更团结，准备的更充分，因为征途中存在太多的难以预测的事情。

我们都希望经济能够维持美国梦、维持努力工作的机会并保证获得工作报酬、攒下大学学费、房产和养老、付煤气费和买生活用品，同时每个月底还能有一点节余，希望这样的经济能够提升全体国民并确保大家均享我们的繁荣。

我们都希望有一个普遍的、高水平的、能支付得起的医保体系（掌声）。那样父母们就不必在为自己上医保还是为孩子上医保而进行选择，也不必仅仅为了保证他们的保险而陷于毫无发展的工作。

这问题不仅仅是为了我。这是一种精神和事业，我将继续战斗下去，直到每一名美国人都毫无例外与借口地得到保障（掌声）。

我们都希望美国显现出更深远意义上的平等，从公民权利到工作权利，从妇女权利到同性恋权利（掌声）…从终止歧视到促进工会组织，还要为最重要的工作提供帮助：那就是关心我们的家人。

我们还希望美国挺立于世界，结束伊拉克战争，再一次靠我们的价值观的力量确立领袖地位（掌声），与我们的盟国一道面对并分担贫穷、恐怖主义的种族灭绝和全球变暖的挑战。

你们知道，我投身政治40年了，经历了这样那样的公众生活。（掌声）在这40年中，我们国家选出了10任总统。民主党只赢得其中的3任，今天，那名赢得其中2任的男人（指其丈夫前总统克林顿）就与我们在一起（掌声）。

上世纪90年代，在这名民主党总统的领导下，我们取得巨大的进步，拥有了繁荣的经济和作为和平与安全的领袖赢得的世界的尊重。

只需设想一下，如果在过去的40年里我们都拥有民主党总统，那么我们将取得多大的进步。想想过去7年中在环境与经济、医保与人权、教育、对外政策以及最高法院等方面失去的机会（掌声）。

设想一下如果是一名民主党人在白宫，我们将前进多远，将取得多大的成就（掌声）。

我们不能让这时刻溜走。我们已经走了太久、做了太多。

现在，前面的竞选之路并不平坦。有人会说我们难以成功，因为这太难，我们甚至还没有接近它。然而，就像美国存在的历史一样长，我们美国人的方式就是拒绝说不能----通过努力工作、决心和先驱者的精神，去寻求并选择替代一切可能的延伸。

作为个人的说明，当我被问到一名妇女竞选总统的意义时，我总是做出相同的回答，那就是，作为一名妇女参加竞选我感到自豪，但我之所以参选是因为我认为我可以做最好的总统（掌声）。

但我是一名妇女，而且像数百万的妇女一样，我清楚仍然有障碍和偏见，通常是无形中的，我希望把美国打造成为尊重和拥抱我们每一个人的潜能的国家（掌声）。

对那些为我们未能走完全程而感到失望的人们，特别是那些为这次竞选付出很多的年轻人，在我的目标面临短暂挫折时，如果我未能劝阻你们每一个人不要放弃对自己目标的追求，我将感到很伤心。

当今天我们在这历史性的、宏伟的建筑中集会，第50名妇女离开地球进入我们上方的地球轨道。如果我们能把50名妇女送入太空，有朝一日，我们也将把一名妇女送入白宫（掌声）。

尽管这一次我们没能击碎这最高的、最艰难的无形的阻碍，但感谢你们，这无形的阻碍上已印上了1千8百万的裂缝（掌声），这光明史无前例地一路照耀，希望和真切的理解充满我们心中，那就是，下一次征程将轻松一些。

在美国，一直都有历史性的进步。感谢1848年在Seneca Falls集会的主张扩大参政权的人们，他们坚持战斗直到妇女拥有投票权。

感谢旧制度的反对者，他们为废除奴隶制而奋斗和牺牲。感谢人权英雄和下层民众，他们行进、抗议，冒着生命危险终结了种族隔离和对黑人的歧视（掌声）。

因为他们，我生长于认为妇女可以投票是理所当然的年代，因为他们，我女儿生长于认为所有肤色的儿童可以一起在学校是理所当然的年代。

因为他们，奥巴马和我可以为民主党总统候选人提名进行一场激烈的竞选。因为他们同时也因为你们，今天的儿童可以生长在认为一名非裔美国人或一名妇女可以成为美国总统是理所当然的年代（掌声）。所以，当那一天终于来临，一名妇女宣誓作为我们的总统，我们都将更高大，为我们国家的价值观而骄傲，为在美国，每一名小女孩都能梦想远大目标并实现梦想而骄傲。

你们都将知道，因为你们的激情和艰苦努力，你们为这一天的到来创造了条件。所以，我要对我的支持者们说：当你听到人们说，或是你自己在想，“假如…该多好，”或“如果…将会怎样”，我说，千万不要假设。一次次的回首使我们无法前行（掌声）。

人生短暂，时间宝贵，如果细细品味那些过去的事就代价太高了。我们必须为那些尚有

I want to start today by saying how grateful I am to all of you – to everyone who poured your hearts and your hopes into this campaign, who drove for miles and lined the streets waving homemade signs, who scrimped and saved to raise money, who knocked on doors and made calls, who talked and sometimes argued with your friends and neighbors, who emailed and contributed online, who invested so much in our common enterprise, to the moms and dads who came to our events, who lifted their little girls and little boys on their shoulders and whispered in their ears, “See, you can be anything you want to be.” To the young people like 13 year-old Ann Riddle from Mayfield, Ohio who had been saving for two years to go to Disney World, and decided to use her savings instead to travel to Pennsylvania with her Mom and volunteer there as well. To the veterans and the childhood friends, to New Yorkers and Arkansans who traveled across the country and telling anyone who would listen why you supported me. To all those women in their 80s and their 90s born before women could vote who cast their votes for our campaign. I’ve told you before about Florence Steen of South Dakota, who was 88 years old, and insisted that her daughter bring an absentee ballot to her hospice bedside. Her daughter and a friend put an American flag behind her bed and helped her fill out the ballot. She passed away soon after, and under state law, her ballot didn’t count. But her daughter later told a reporter, “My dad’s an ornery old cowboy, and he didn’t like it when he heard mom’s vote wouldn’t be counted. I don’t think he had voted in 20 years. But he voted in place of my mom.” To all those who voted for me, and to whom I pledged my utmost, my commitment to you and to the progress we seek is unyielding. You have inspired and touched me with the stories of the joys and sorrows that make up the fabric of our lives and you have humbled me with your commitment to our country. 18 million of you from all walks of life – women and men, young and old, Latino and Asian, African-American and Caucasian, rich, poor and middle class, gay and straight – you have stood strong with me. You know, tonight, we are hearing the voices of people across America, people of all ages, of all colors, all faiths and all walks of life, people on the day shift, the night shift, the late shift, with the crying babies, moms and dads who want a better world for our children, young people who deserve a world of opportunity, all those who aren't in the headlines, but have always written America's story. After seven years of a president who listens only to the special interests, you're ready for a president who brings your voice, your values and your dreams to your White House. And tonight, in record numbers, you voted not just to make history, but to remake America. People in American Samoa, Arkansas, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and the great state of New York and on just -- on just one really serious note, we want to keep the people of Arkansas and Tennessee in our prayers. They suffered horrible tornadoes（龙卷风）tonight. We just talked to some of our folks there and people have died in both states, and our thoughts and prayers go out to them in this moment of their need. You know, tonight, though, is your note. Tonight is America's night. And it's not -- it's not over yet, because the polls are still open in California for a few more minutes. It's about your lives, your families, your futures. It's about the people who have shared their problems with me, looking for solutions, the mother whose insurance company won't pay for her child's treatment, the couple so determined to send their daughter to college, they're willing to mortgage （抵押）their home with a sub-prime second mortgage, the man who asked me what he was supposed to do after training the person who will take his job in another country, the veterans（退伍军人）who've come home only to find they don't have the health care, the compensation（赔偿）and the services they need. It's also about the people who want to seize America's opportunities. It's about the unions and businesses who are training people for green collar jobs. It's about the auto companies and the auto workers who want higher gas mileage cars so we can compete with the rest of the world. It's about -- it's about our scientists and researchers who want to be able to do stem cell research right here in the United States of America. It's about our contractors (承建商)and our construction workers who want to get to work to rebuild America, from the bridges in Minnesota (明尼苏达)to the levees(堤防) in New Orleans. Now, for seven years, we have seen President Bush's answer. They don't know what's at stake in this election, but we do. We know what we need is someone ready on day one to solve our problems and seize those opportunities. Because when the bright lights are off and the cameras are gone, who can you count on to listen to you, to stand up for you, to delivery solutions for you? Well, the Republicans want eight more years of the same. They see tax cuts for the wealthy and they say, "Why not more?" They see $9 trillion in debt and say, "Why not trillions more?" They see five years in Iraq and say, "Why not 100 more?" Well，they've got until January 20th, 2009 and not one day more. Now, we know the Republicans won't give up the White House without a fight. Well, let me be clear -- I won't let anyone swift vote this country's future Together, we're going to take back America, because I see an America where our economy works for everyone, not just those at the top, where prosperity is shared and we create good jobs that stay right here in America. I see an America where we stand up to the oil companies and the oil-producing countries, where we launch a clean energy revolution and finally confront the climate crisis. I see an America where we don't just provide health care for some people or most people, but for every single man, woman and child, that no one is left out. I see -- I see an America where, when a young man or a woman signs up to serve our country, we sign up to serve them, too. An America with a 21st century GI Bill of Rights to help veterans go to college, buy a home or start their own businesses. I don't think he had voted in 20 years, but he voted in place of my mom." 3.12 So to all those who voted for me and to whom I pledged my utmost, my commitment to you and to the progress we seek is unyielding. You have inspired and touched me with the stories of the joys and sorrows that make up the fabric of our lives. And you have humbled me with your commitment to our country.
