五、Reading strategy:reading a history article

What you have read is a typical history article. When you are reading a history article, you will notice dates and years in the text, e.g., the 5th century,1066. Identifying these details will help you understand a sequence of events and how pieces of information relate to the rest of the text. Next time when you read a history article, it is a good idea to make a time chart, listing relevant information such as times, places and events, etc. in the article.
