目前中文名字翻译成英文，并无标准方案，可以说是五花八门，非常混乱。很多喜欢外国文化或者在外企工作的年轻人，自己取了英文名字，变成中英混杂，更增加了翻译难度。综合多种翻译方法，总结出一套中文姓名翻译标准方案，既考虑到大家的实际情况，符合社会习惯，也不会引起任何误会。

（一）要按照姓+名的顺序，而且姓要全部大写

例如大帅哥黄晓明，他姓名的标准翻译方法应该是HUANGXiao-ming。

为什么要按照姓+名的传统结构呢？因为黄晓明是中国国籍，中国官方语言是中文，那就应该按照中文标准翻译，先姓后名。以前的

通说认为，既然翻译成英文，就按照英语语法习惯，先名后姓。但时代一直在进步，欧美朋友对东方人姓+名这样的文化传统已经很熟悉，再没有必要姓名倒置了。

既然姓+名（东方）或名+姓（西方）的使用习惯可以同时存在，那么就不能再依靠姓名的前后位置来识别姓。这时，就产生了新的拼写习惯，就是将姓全部大写，最大限度的避免误会。例如姚明，写作YaoMing，那究竟是姓“Yao”，还是姓“Ming”？如果写成YAOMing，那就很清楚，YAO就是他的姓，而且我们还可以判断出他来自东方，因为YAO放在前面。

（二）名字的首字母要大写，是否连写或加隔音符看个人习惯

姓的问题解决了。我们再看名字的问题。一般中国名都是两个字的，再举黄晓明，写作Xiaoming，Xiaoming或者Xiao-ming都可以。我个人推荐写成Xiao-ming。这里再举一些例子吧

杨过：YANGGuo；

小龙女：如果直译就是XiaoLONGNv，我觉得最好不要意译成

DragonGirl，因为DragonGirl西方色彩太浓，容易令人联想到《权力的游戏》里面的龙女，就是操纵着西方喷火巨龙的魔幻女孩，这样离小龙女的本尊距离太远了。

（三）如果有一天黄晓明移民到美国了，那么他的英文写法应该换了，应该写成Xiao-mingHUANG。因为他是美国人了，自然要按照美国的拼写习惯，将姓放在最后。在美国生活的华人，一般都会入乡随俗，取一个真正的英文名，方便融入当地的生活。那么晓明大哥入籍美国后，我们假设他取了个烂大街的英文名字，叫做Michael，那么他的

全名应该如何写呢？

我们看美国人的名字结构，一般是“教名+中间名+姓”，教名是正式的名，中间名是昵称或者直接用祖辈的名字（作为纪念）。所以，中国人入籍后，可以参照这个习惯，按照“英文名+中文原名+姓”的方式来登记。这样，你的美国朋友可以直接称呼你的正式名+姓，MichaelHUANG；而其他的美籍华人或者中国朋友，看到你的中间名，

原文： CHASSIS 1.clutch The engine produces the power to drive the vehicle . The drive line or drive train transfer the power of the engine to the wheels . The drive train consists of the parts from the back of the flywheel to the wheels . These parts inclu de the clutch , the transmission ,the drive shaft ,and the final drive assembly . The clutch which includes the flywheel ,clutch disc , pressure plate , springs , pressure plate cover and the linkage necessary to operate the clutch is a rotating mechanism between the engine and the transmission . It operates through friction which comes from contact between the parts . That is the reason why the clutch is called a friction mechanism . After engagement, the clutch must continue to transmit all engine torque to transmission depending on the friction without slippage . The clutch is also used to disengage the engine from the drive train whenever the gears in the transmission are being shifted from gear ratio to another . To start the engine or shift the gears , the driver has to depress the clutch pedal with the purpose of disengagement the transmission from the engine . At that time , the driven members connected to the transmission input shaft are either stationary or rotating at a speed that is slower of faster than the driving members connected to engine crankshaft . There is no spring pressure on the clutch assembly parts . So there is no friction between the driving members and driven members . As the driver lets loose the clutch pedal , spring pressure increase on the clutch parts . Friction between the parts also increases . The pressure exerted by the springs on the driven members is controlled by the driver through the clutch pedal and linkage. The positive engagement of the driving and driven members is made possible the friction between the surfaces of the members . When full spring pressure is applied , the speed of the driving and driven members should be the same . At the moment , the clutch must act as a coupling device and transmit all engine power to the transmission , without slipping .

翻译时间格式新要求(必看)

一，翻译时间 1，试译文件需在发布任务的2天之内上传，我们将根据提交上来的试译文件选出中标作品，并发站内信通知，注意查收。为方便联系，可以在提交试译文件时留下联系方式（QQ，邮箱，最好是手机） 2，提交作品到指定的邮箱，不能按时交任务的话，要及时通知我。 5，如果稿件由于质量问题被退回，要求从退回日期算起一天之内发回。 二，翻译格式要求 1.应为纯文本格式，编码UTF-8, 统一使用Editplus 3。见附件 介于Editplus界面，左右宽度很大，总的拉动下面那个Bar，可以调整。找到左上Document，点击下拉出现菜单，选择Word-wrap Options...再选择enable word-wrap,然后下面那个format 选80，应该就可以了。 2.格式采用一段英文一段中文的方式（不是一句一句对应，而是一段一段），英 文下面跟中文，可以按照自然段的格式，不要把英文删掉。 使用中文标点，包括逗号（，），句号（。），省略号（……），引号（“”），破折号（——）等都用专门的全角中文标点，而不要使用英文标点。 3. <>表示一条评论的开始，要求一条一条翻译。不要搞混。<>中的内容保留， 不要做任何变动。 4，翻译文本应为纯文本格式，在保存翻译文件的时候点下拉框选编码UTF-8，不要更改原文件名。 三，翻译内容注意事项 1.TripAdvisor 一定要翻译成“到到网”，这个是网站的中文名字。 2.题目括号<>里面的酒店名不需要翻译，正文中的地名，酒店名尽量要翻译（可 在到到网和携程网上找），正文中的人名不需要翻译。 3.Review 里会有一些带感情色彩的话，特别是褒义的，在翻译的时候一定要把 这种感情给表现出来，语气也可以强烈些。比如说，“Amazing Value”有些人把它翻成“物有所值”，但也有些人把它翻成“物超所值”，肯定是后者表达的感情色彩更强烈，也更贴切。

鸡西大学首届英语技能系列大赛 （翻译）具体实施方案 为适应高职院校培养应用型人才的需要，激发鸡西大学各专业学生在校期间的英语学习热情，强化其英语语言应用能力（听、说、读、写、译），促进英语水平的全面提高，我校举办了英语应用技能系列大赛。目前为止，已经成功举办了其中的英语听力、口语、阅读和写作比赛。通过比赛，广大同学展示了自己的风采，检验了学习效果, 再次掀起了我校学生学英语、用英语热潮。根据统筹安排，本学期拟继续举办英语翻译比赛，望同学们积极参赛。 具体事宜如下: 、组织机构 由鸡西大学教务处、团委、学工处主办，西方语言系承办。 领导小组 组长：杨永清、郭美霞 成员：黄其辉、侯荣新、曹国辉、申长葳 工作组组长：黄其辉成员：黄济群、姜旭、李跃宇、康伟杰、孙超、滕术艺、韩 二、比赛原则 比赛本着公开、公平、公正的原则。

三、参赛资格 凡鸡西大学在籍学生均可报名参加。（报名表见附件） 四、比赛方式 学生按专业组和非专业组分别参加比赛。 五、比赛形式及要求 一）比赛形式 在规定时间内完成给定材料的翻译，做到信、达、雅。 二）比赛要求 1、答题时不得翻阅英语课本、笔记本、工具书和电子词典； 2、律用黑色中性笔或者钢笔作答； 3、参赛者独立答题，遵守考试纪律； 4、答题时间：45 分钟。 5、评分细则：总分100 分 力求做到“信”、“达”、雅”。信”，即准确，要忠实于原作内 容，保持原作风格。“达”即顺畅，指译文必须通顺易懂，符合规范。 雅”，即优美，指译文要有可读性，不能晦涩难懂，即不必过分追求“雅”而使文章背离原意，应使文章流畅。“信”、“达”、“雅”分别各占30%，字迹工整占10%。不得出现抄袭现象，否则取消比赛资 格。 七、报名和比赛时间 报名时间：10月15日至10月23日 初赛时间：11月7日 复赛时间待定 八、报名地点
