Life in Cities is of More Quality in China

In recent years, people have paid close attention to the quality of daily life a lot, and one of the most heated debating topics is whether people should choose to live in the city or in the countryside in China. There are millions of peasants living in rural areas, but a large number of them are rushing into urban areas to get a job every year. People living in the countryside are anxious to begin their urban life, meanwhile people in cities prefer to live a peaceful life far away from town. As for me, in China, living in the city is much better than living in the countryside in that citizens would surely live a more convenient life, have more choices in every aspect of life and would also achieve a sense of accomplishment in their enriching life.

Since some areas of countryside in China are still in poor situation, cities offer people a more comfortable and convenient life. In some suburban regions, it is troublesome to go out, but the transportation system in almost every city in China is quite developed now. Citizens could choose different vehicles as they wish in cities, such as car, bus, metro and even high speed railway. People living in Wuhan in central region of China could reach Guangzhou in South China by high speed rail within several hours, in which period people living in rural areas may just get to town from home. In cities, people could enjoy the door-to-door transport service easily meanwhile going out is quite an inconvenient action for many people living in suburban in China. This sort of obvious contrast can be seen by everybody. Besides the aspect of transportation, there are more plentiful living facilities in cities than in the countryside. As a whole, the infrastructure in most cities in China is of high quality. The systems of medical treatment, health care, physical training, etc are available for citizens to make use of to keep their life quality in a high level. Once citizens have a problem in daily life, there are often corresponding ways for them to solve it. While in the most areas of countryside in China, there is still even a lack of medical security now.

Living in the city also offers people more choices in life. There is a dense population in

most cities in China, so citizens living in cities must meet a lot of people. This sort of communication with different people every day affects citizen’s outlook on life gradually. Receiving various thoughts every day helps people think a lot, which make people brighter to build good relationships with others. On the contrary, life in suburban areas seem a little monotonous in that people live in a small steady group. To some degree, the lifestyle in the countryside is relatively fixed, and there is no much space for people to make big changes in life. In addition, there are more and better sources of education and jobs in cities than in the rural areas, which is a main reason why peasants try to go to town today. With excellent teachers, advanced teaching techniques and reasonable management, the quality of education in China’s cities is far better than that in countryside. More and more parents tend to send their children to schools in town now to offer them good education. And adults in the countryside who feel it hard to be resigned to the peaceful life become eager to rush into cities to get a job. These peasants who are called as “migrant workers”try to firmly seize every opportunity and spare no pains to begin their urban life. What drives them to work so hard is just the desire to live a more colorful and comfortable life in cities.

Furthermore, people in cities are living a more enriching life than in the countryside. Busy in jobs and education, citizens live in a quick rhythm, which offers them a sense of achievement. Everyone in cities tries to make full use of every minute every day to make themselves of value. Hard work do tire people, but also enrich their inner heart, through which process people accumulate a lot of precious experiences throughout their life. In cities glutted with great capacity of information, people living in cities are more well-informed as various information spread very quickly. In the countryside, news will not easily spread unless people take the initiative in knowing it through TVs, newspaper and Internet. On the contrary, people living in cities get to know a lot even unconsciously. For example, when we go out in street, there are media like TVs, broadcast and advertisements surrounding us. Comparatively, people living in cities are more informed than people living in suburban areas in China.

As the reason I presented above, life in cities is enjoyable for people both physically and mentally. People living in urban areas live a much more convenient life and also feel quite enriching and a sense of achievement. Life in the countryside could be peaceful, but

right now in China, the suburban areas are truly inconvenient for people to live. People have the right to pursuit happiness throughout their life, and cities just provides a huge stage to people to create their wonderful life. If you would like to improve your life quality, just come and enjoy the city life!
