英国文学教学方式

浅析英国文学教学方式

摘要:英国文学是我国高校专业高年级的一门重要必修课,是学生学习和研究英语语言文化的必要途径。但近年来,英国文学教学面临受到轻视的困境。为此,本文针对国内高校英语专业英国文学课程传统方式存在的弊端,提出了英国文学课程的目标、意义和一些教学方式进行了分析。

关键词:英国文学;文学史和文学理论;学生参与;学习效果

长期以来,英国文学的课堂教学由于课时不足,班容量大,侧重于传授文学知识,对作品的阅读欣赏很不充分,课上基本是以教师讲授为主,学生只有听的机会,很少能直接参与讨论和表达自己的看法。现代社会对英语专业人才的需求表明,英语专业毕业生不但要有过硬的英语语言文学基本功,还必须有一定的思辨能力、创新能力,不能是只会人云亦云而不会独立思考,依赖性强,独立性差,只会照着做却不会进行创造性思维的人。因此,培养学生发现问题、分析问题、解决问题的能力,培养他们创新能力及提出独立见解能力应成为英国文学课程教学的一个新的重要目标

一、文学教学目标及意义

英国文学是高等学校英语专业的必修课。其教学目的是使学生对英国文学发展史,英国主要作家及其作品有一宏观、系统的了解,以提高学生对英国文学作品的欣赏理解能力,从而熟练地掌握英语语言技能。然而近年来,随着国内要求改革英语系课程呼声的增高,英国文学课时也一再被压缩。文学课现在已经面临边缘化
