1.Brief introduction to the author and the book.
Marc Levy, born on October 16,1961, is a famous French writer.His main works are If Only It Were True、Will you be There、Seven Days For an Eternity、The Shadow Thief,etc.He has published 12 novels which have been translated into 42 languages.The total sales are more than 23000000 copies worldwide.Marc Levy is a french writer who has the most readers all over the world.
The Shadow Thief tells the story of a thin little boy who is always bullied by his classmates.Because he has a special ability:he can steal others’shadow.So he can see others’worry and heard others’ secret that people are reluctant to say.Then he has become a spiritual partner of people who need help.He is finding small light for each of the stolen shadow to bright their lives.

She is not the most beautiful girl in the school.But she is the most attractive girl because of her special way of fixing hair,concise and
elegant,especial her smile, is enough to illuminate gloomy and sad fall.That is when it is rainy,your wet shoes snap on the road,and the street lights are sleepless day and night on the road to school .She is the first girl appeared in my life and will stay in the time as I am a child.She is so charming that these boys in childhood are full of longings.The oldest child in the class win her heart while he is so arrogant and stubborn.And the youngest me can only desperately wait for Elizabeth shows mercy to me.My childhood is there, with a little sad, waiting for the love and waiting to grow up in despair. Clare in the seaside
A seaside holiday let me meet with Clare, a girl more beautiful than Elizabeth.However,Claire born deaf and dumb.God gave her a pair of big eyes and let her face full of attractive luster in order to make up for her deafness.She will emit voice of cello as long as she smiles.I love the cello.Claire and I have a private lighthouse belonging to us,where she and I share the secret of stealing the shadow of others, and where we kiss
each other.She writes on the paper: “you stole my shadow, no matter where you are, I will always think of you.”In August, just met a Claire, each morning is different and each present is no longer the same as before.
This is an adolescence meet.Claire is pure and beautiful. She cannot be compared with Elizabeth. Claire is spiritual partner who can sit down with me together to share everything.
Sophie in the reality
Sophie is a bright and beautiful girl.We flirt with each other but never get steady with each other.We consider each other as friends ignoring the longing for each other.Because they know they doctors are busy and have no time to keep a real relationship. Once I Sophie's shadow mumbles to me: “I have no medical talent,I am good at nothing, and I am not beautiful enough.I never heard daddy said I am good.”Perhaps because my wish to help the stolen shadow find small light let me stop at Sophie's side to assist her in finding her confidence.But in the end Sophie also recognizes
her love is not me.
3.What I have got after reading the book.
The Shadow Thief is about the stories of children in the first person.Family love ,friendship, love are timeless theme and are also three basic courses that this book gives me.
The first lesson is giving.I heard the soul of my best friend who is meant to take over his father’s bakery while his dream is to be a doctor.I encourage him to break the shackles of the old life and to be brave to pursue his own dream.When he was frustrated,sad and confused,I tolerant and help him unconditionally.Ultimately their friendship becomes mature.This is the fist lesson of growing up.
The second lesson is thanksgiving.I go to the university and work in a place far away from home.My mother misses me deeply but she doesn’t want to be stumbles and burden of mine.When she is ill,she hides the disease time and again and finally disease.I don’t know the original maternal love has been strong in words until I return home
in hindsight and see the letters.I understand a mother’s love.This is the second lesson of growing up.
The third lesson is striving.I had a crush on a girl but I was unwilling to express my hiding https://www.sodocs.net/doc/513871193.html,ter,I met a aphasic girl Clare during a travel in a small seaside town.We appointed to meet next year,however,I broke my promise.I come back to the seaside town when I grow up.I do a lot to find Clare but adult cannot recognize me and she is beautiful and charming.I suddenly realize that only striving can we win.This is the third lesson of growing up.
