Dear Visa Officer:

Thank you for reading my letter. My European Schengen Visa Application to France for short-term travelling was submitted on December 22 and it was rejected on December 28, 2011. The visa officer was not convinced that I would come back to China upon the completion of my proposed degree program. However, I believe that he misunderstood some important part of my answers. To some extent I myself was to blame for this misunderstanding because I failed to provide him with a complete context. Therefore, I deem it necessary to write this letter to clarify some important points.

1.The time and reason I choose to travel in France

As we all know, France is one of the most popular countries in the world. Both beauty spots such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre and simple way of living are what I have been looking forward to. The reason I choose to travel in January is that the visitor will be fewer than usual, thus it’ll be easier for to book flights and hotels. What’s more, it is in January that

a traditional midseason for discount is available. Economically, I can buy things I need to

China.

2.Family situation

My husband and I were classmates when in college and we have known each other for over

12 years. We have been getting along well, and our baby was born in 2009. Both of us are the

only child in the family. With the responsibility to feed our parents and the child, definitely we have no reason to leave them alone.

3.Economical situation

Having a good job with great development and tremendous space of promotion, my husband and I have been working in Shenzhen City for over 8 years which can also be showed on the balance sheet submitted.

In a word, Shenzhen City is the place we have been living in. We are so familiar with everything here and we have everything including our love, family, child and friends here. For all this, I sincerely hope that you reconsider my visa application. Your reasonable and fair reassessment will be appreciated. I do hope that I can have a short, but pleasant trip at the beginning of the New Year. Thank you very much.
