M:Our home here is very large. We have four bedrooms, an office, two bathrooms, a front room and a dining room. We do a lot of things around the house. We garden quite a bit, walk in our garden, and we play basketball on the basketball court we've got out the back. Usually Saturday afternoon we have a picnic and that's our meal because during the summer it gets pretty hot here and sometimes you just want to be outside rather than be inside. In California you really have two seasons —spring, summer and fall are all very much the same and the winter is very different. It's very cold. Sometimes we play football and basketball in spring. My youngest son often plays baseball in summer.

One of the best-known American writers of children's books is Alfred Strong, or Doctor Strong, as he is better known to readers everywhere. Now, an art show called “Doctor St rong From Then to Now” is travelling around the United States. The pictures and drawings show the history of Doctor Strong.

Becoming Bears (Kindergarten-2 grade)

By becoming baby bears, children learn from their “parent” to
