Step I: Revision

Ask the students some questions to help them revise what is learnt in Unit one of this module.

Step II : Preparation

Task 1: Think about things you know about life on other planets.

Task 2:Have the students to read the words on the screen in order to review them. Step III: Scanning and Skimming

Task1: Read the passage and choose the best title.

Directions:

1.The teacher ask the students to read the titles. And know the meaning of them.

2. Students read the passage fast and choose the best title in groups.

3. Call back the answers from all the groups, asking for reasons for their choice. Task2: Answer some questions about the passage.

Directions:

1. First give the students some questions about the passage .

2. Students read the passage and find the answers individually, then check in

groups.

3. Call back the answers from each group, check answers for the whole class. Task3: Check the true sentences in activity

Directions:

1. Read through the sentences and make sure the Ss understand what they mean.

Students do activity 4 on page 21 individually and check with partners.

2. Call back the answers from the whole class, having individuals correct the wrong

sentences.

Step IV : Well reading

1.Ask the students to read the passage carefully and find their difficulties.

2.Try to solve the problems in groups first.

3.If none of them can solve, they should write them down.
