The Sun gives us light and sun. We can’t live without the Sun. The Sun is at the centre of the solar system. Its gravity holds all the planets in place.

The Sun is the biggest object in the solar system. Do you know how big it is? Well, use your head and imagine. ①Its diameter（直径）is about 109 times as big as the Earth’s. You could fill with over A MILLION Earths inside the Sun.

Scientists think that the Sun( and the planets) formed the solar nebula about 4.59 billion years ago, so it’s pretty old!
