The Best Way to Stay Healthy

Nowadays, the desire for good health is universal. Wherever you are and whatever you do, staying healthy is always important. Different people come up with different views. As far as I am concerned, the best way to keep healthy is to develop a good quality of psychology.

To begin with, keeping a good quality of psychology can reduce the pains. According to some surveys, nowadays, most patients are not physically sick but mentally ill. The burden on their shoulders is much heavier than others. So they can’t step out of the shadow of depression and sadness. They need to release their

spirit to the nature. Besides, if you have developed a good quality of psychology, you’ll become more sociable and thus more willing to play your part in the society.Enrolling for some keep-fit clubs or joining some travel agency, which by themselves are various versions of physical exercise, will benefit you a lot.As a poem says, youth is not a period of time; it’s a state of mind. Everybody wants to keep young at heart because youth is a symbol for endless energy and passion for living.

Keeping a good quality of mind and keeping a sense of humor are really good. Even if you are 80, you’ll never be old.

范文:

THE IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING A GOOD MOOD

People in modern society live under a lot of pressure. There are three kinds of pressure working on people today: pressure from education, family and career. It is easy to blame the school for charging too much money, the family members for the heavy burden, and the society for the fierce competition. It is universally acknowledged/ There is public perception people should relax. It is important for them to keep a good mood under whatever circumstances.

Long gone are the days when people lived their life with a certain relaxation, sampling a wide variety of activities—film, music, art, poetry. But now, a lot

of people suffer from a lot of pressure. They can’t communicate well with co-workers and family members, and have unbalanced, one-dimensional lives. Some people complain of symptoms of stress, for instance, loss of appetite, a complete sense of exhaustion, insomnia and low morale. Thus have destructive effect on their health. People tend to lose temper easily, and this may interfere with personal relatio nship. What’s more, a high rate of suicide may warn people of their emotional well-being.

To be a healthy person physically and psychologically, one should keep a good mood, according to some psychology experts. Those little things may seem relatively insignificant—reading mystery novels, playing volleyball, spending time with family and friends, maintaining your emotional well-being, getting plenty of rest, going fishing. They can help you keep a good mood.

Will Phones Kill Letter Writing?

范文:

Letter Writing Will Not Be Killed

Nowadays, young people choose to phone each other rather than writing letters. But even if so, I still maintain that letter writing will never be killed by phones, though we have stepped into the Information Age.

Firstly, letters can express your subtle feelings. With the increase of the living pace of modern society, we find that there is a lack of communication now. Sometimes when you are speaking to someone that you care and love on the phone,

you are so shy that it’s too hard to express any of your feelings towards him/her. Your throat seems to be blocked! At this time, letters will help. Without any embarrassment, you can just write down your deep concern and love on a piece of paper. When you drop the letter into the pillar-box, you will feel what he/she will receive is not only a letter, but also your deepest love.

Secondly, letters can be kept as a record of memory, while phones cannot. Just imagine when you open an old box of letters and read them years later, a lot of beautiful and indelible memories will be brought back to you. What an irreplaceable feeling it is! And I believe, this feeling is something that you can definitely never experience through several phone calls.

All in all, letter writing will absolutely survive and even thrive in the Information Age. Phones can never kill it, neither will anything.

范文:

MY IDEA OF A UNIVERSITY ARTS FESTIVAL

With merely four months to go before the arts festival starts, my fellow students are getting increasingly enthusiastic in brainstorming for the significant event. While in my opinion typical activities such as performances, forums and lectures on art should be taken into consideration.

The festival itself is an image — creating undertaking. Students should be

attracted to the festival at the first glimpse, so the opening ceremony must be of vital importance. Fascinating performances, for instance, pop music, ballet dancing and instrument playing ought to be put on in this section and if possible an orchestra can be invited to add spice to the ceremony. Certainly only performances are too superficial. To help students take a deeper insight into arts, forums and lectures must be held. Forums can be held through BBS owning to the wide accessibility to Internet, whereas professors and experts can be invited to give lectures concerning basic knowledge of art and the role that art plays in daily life. However, prior to all the above, professional organization, detailed plans and effective promulgation are needed to promise a success.

A university arts festival, in brief, must embrace rich content and careful preparation. Only then can it be successful and can everyone enjoy himself.

There are four sample compositions I sifted from Internet and I marked some phrases that explain how travel broadens the mind. 01 Travel Broadens the Mind Nowadays more and more people choose to travel during their holidays, since travel not only brings leisure and joy but also broadens the mind. As for me, not only can it bring me more historical knowledge, but it can also add to my social experience. Take my trip to Mount Tai for example. As is known to all, it’s a magnificent mountain famous for both the beautiful scenery and the splendid cultural heritage. At the very sight of her, m y soul was attached to her. I remembered the poem “Wang Yue” written by Du Fu, I remembered many historic events which happened on this land and I also recalled the responsibility to conserve this heritage. As I climbed up the mountain, our guide told me many things I had never got to know before, which of course broadened my scope of knowledge. It was also on this trip that I made many new friends with whom I exchanged my opinions, and that I got acquainted with some information about first aid and package tour. All this indeed added to my social experience. In short, travel offers a good chance for me to open my eyes and enrich my experience while I can enjoy myself. It broadens the mind in a relaxing way. 02Travel broadens the mind Travel has many benefits to offer. It enriches our experiences and helps us know more about the world, aside from relaxing ourselves both physically and psychologically. TEM-2011:Should private car owners be taxed for pollution? With the development of society, many people can afford a car. As the number of the cars is rising, we are facing some problems. One big problem is the pollution caused by the use of cars. In order to solve this problem, government agencies in some big cities recently suggest that a “pollution tax” should be put on private cars in order to control the number of cars and reduce pollution in the city. For my part, I agree to this viewpoint, and my reasons are as follows: To begin with, cars contribute to the environmental pollution. For example, a lot of big cities in China are now plagued by serious air pollution. Then it is the responsibility of these private car owners to pay for the pollution and they should be taxed. The purpose of collecting environmental pollution tax is to raise the fund, and then utilize the tax revenue lever to protect our environment. Secondly, it is a good way to raise people’s environmental awareness by putting a pollution tax on private cars. If people suffer from the financial loss when making a decision, they will think more about their decision. Then they will consider more when deciding to buy a private car. Consequently, the increase rate of the number of the private cars can be controlled. In a word, it is a very good and necessary attempt to use the means of taxation to treat the pollution. Of course, it must be kept in mind that all people, including the private car owners, should try their best to protect the environment. 272words TEM-2010:Should College Students Hire Cleaners? According to a recent report, six university students hired cleaners to clean their dorm and do their laundry every week. Travel has many benefits to offer. It enriches our experiences and helps us know more about the world, aside from relaxing ourselves both physically and psychologically. To begin with, travel is one of the best ways to enrich our experiences. If we visit tourist attractions and historical or cultural relics at different places of our country or foreign lands, we will meet different people, enjoy exotic natural sceneries, have a taste of varied cultures and, in the long run, enrich our knowledge. Moreover, travel also helps to enlighten and broaden our minds, since it provides us with new perspectives through what we learn from other cultures. For example, it helps to reduce cultural prejudice after we have got a better understanding of civilizations that vary sharply from one another. Travel is gaining increasing popularity among us. We travel to relax ourselves, enrich our experiences and broaden our minds.

专四作文样题 (2016年发布) 第一部分:原题 PART VI WRITING [45 MIN] Should we review traditional Chinese characters or continue using simplified characters? This has been an intensely discussed question for years. The following are the supporters' and opponents' opinions. Read carefully the opinions from both sides and write your response in about 200 words, in which you should first summarize briefly the opinions from both sides and give your view on the issue. Marks will be awarded for content relevance, content sufficiency, organization and language quality. Failure to follow the above instructions may result in a loss of marks. Yes No Traditional characters, which date back to more than 2000 years ago, have a more beautiful appearance and a more reasonable structure. As indicated by the 親and 愛examples, traditional characters make more sense, convey traditional values and can therefore represent traditional culture. For two millennia, Chinese historical records and classic works were written in traditional characters. To be able to read them and inherit traditional cultures, we need to bring traditional characters back. Politically, it is also necessary to restore traditional Chinese characters. Currently, traditional characters are still in use in Hong Kong, Taiwan and many Chinese communities around the world. Restoring them can contribute to cross-Strait exchanges and national reunifications and unite Chinese people around the world. In today’s world, efficiency matters most. Traditional characters, which usually have more strokes than simplified ones, are more difficult to learn. By contrast, simplified characters are much easier to learn and use. Over the past 50 years, lots of classic texts have been turned into simplified-character versions, which means simplified characters can also promote and preserve traditional culture. Constant simplification has been a trend in the evolution of Chinese characters. From the oracle bones script of 3000 years ago to traditional characters, the Chinese writing system has always been slimming down for better communication.
