globalization creates conditions for widening international exchanges, strengthening mutual understanding between nations, expanding cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation between nations and countries, enjoying the cultural achievements of people around the world which encourages the process of modernization and the eichment of national culture.
however, these conditions also create the possible danger of diminishing the national culture with a negative impact on the pre123vation of national identity. through globalization and an open door policy, erroneous concepts and a lowering of ethical standards, a selfish and individualistic lifestyle and harmful cultural products can easily be imported into the country. at present, modern information technology which in the main is controlled by us is hourly and intensively disseminating us ideology, way of life, culture and films across the world. even us food is promoted so that some people consider globalization as global americanization.
during the process of economic globalization, inequality between developed and developing countries has been increasing and the gap between the rich and the poor has become wider, most of the result of globalization go to assist developed countries. globalization does not pose equal interests and risks to all nations. with an overwhelming advantage compared to most of the developing countries in terms of finance and the level of science and technology, developed ca123alist countries control the situation of economic globalization.
for these reasons, globalization is a fierce and complicated struggle in both cultural and ideological fields. we take the initiative in international economic integration but also have to
take the initiative in fighting to keep our distinct culture resisting pro-foreign and cross-bred phenomena, and overcoming the psychology of preferring money over ethical values.

globalization, a worldwide concept, is getting involved into all aspects of our life. it is seen as a means of creating wealth that benefits nations and individuals all over the world.
in my opinion, it is obivious that globalization makes a lot contribution to eliminating the poverty. take china for example, since china successfully seeked the membership of wto, the rapid trade expansion and economic growth sharply cut the number of the desperatele poor. according to a suvery of world bank, those in the poor and backward reigon of china, with income of 1dollar or less a day dropped to 15 percent from 27 percent of the population. however, there still are some
experts who question the real advantage of globalization. because they regard globalization as the evil powe ,which enlarge the gap between the poor and the rich. although the problem polarization between the rich and the poor becoming more and more serious recently, we can not blame globalization for it. the mixture of many factors caused the problem, not just globalization. and the contribution of globalization is so great that we should show our gratitde to it, especially our developing countries.
not only the nations, but also the individuals should take advantage of globalization. with the developing of globalization, the connection between nations is more and more close, so does the individuals. more and more people choose to travel abroad to feel the charm of different socities and cultures. i am the one who agree with this idea from the bottom of my heart. after entering into the wto, the atmosphere of china’s society is becoming more open than before. new cultures and new concepts, which sparkled young people’s minds greatly, are brought into mainland of china. like many other young people, my own methods of thinking becomes more critical, which make me muture and complete. we know many other different new ideas thanks to globalization.
although globalization does so many good to not only nations, but individuals, it is still an immensely controversial process that assaults national sovereignty, erodes local culture and traditions, and threatens economic and social instablity. so in a word, globalization is a double—edged sword. what we should do is try or best to take advantge of it and avoid to worsen these problems.
how do you understand the term “globalization”? is globalization making the world better or worse? why?
to the term globalization, i think, it is a concept of the connections and constraints among the countries and districts across the globe including politics, economy, culture, technology, military, lifestyle, ideology, etc. the associations and communications among them will also bring great impact on them. for my part, i think it is hard to judge that globalization is good or evil. first of all, the advantages globalization leads are obvious. ipad, ipod and other high-tech products made in america are darlings chased by a large number of chinese people. we favor cameras made in japan than made in china. besides these, china is a producing area of many world-famous brands, for example, disney built its factory in guangzhou, because the labors are much cheaper than those in america. from globalization, we can make full use of the local resources and reduce costs. on the other hand, the disadvantages can not be neglected. because of globalization, many local folk customs are vanished by the impacts of
foreign culture. although the culture shock is diminished, what is our purpose of
visiting different place from our own? so, to the matter globalization makes the world better or worse, it depends.

factors threatening people’s health or healthy living nowadays, with the improvement of our living standards, we focus more on health and healthy living. what troubles me is that there are several factors that get in the way toward our healthy condition. the first is limited time. in our fast-paced world, time is always not enough because of the enormous work that has to be done. so we intend to choose fast food, which often contains high calories and results in fat, in order to save time. what makes the matter worse is that, we even have no time left to do exercise. taking on any kind of sports needs chunks of time. drowned in endless work, usually we sit still after meals till time to sleep during which period fat is growing without realization. limited time really restricts our behaviors and choices for living in many aspects.
the second is stress. i am really concerned about insomnia, anxiety and melancholia that relate to high stress.
