Various customer complaints relating to electrical or even mechanical faults with the power windows may
be
reported as follows:

旗开得胜- Operating failure / malfunctions of the power windows.
- Activation of the anti -trap circuit.
- Noises during power window operation.
Cause
Various causes are described in the fault diagnostics tree.
Measure
Service measure:
A fault diagnostics tree has been created for the power window drives. This supports
the troubleshooting process for the localisation and rectification of electrical AND mechanical faults.
This fault diagnostics tree is available in diagnostics (DIS tester, GT1) with diagnostics DIS version V 53.0
and subsequent versions and covers all known topics at the time of release of the latest DIS update
(DVD).
You can find the fault diagnostics tree in the DIS tester or in GT1 by following the paths below:
OPTION 1 - "DIAGNOSTICS FAULT PATTERN SELECTION" (see attachment 1 for example)
Selection:
- 5120 Locking and security functions
- 512022 Power window malfunction
or
- 512021 Anti -trap circuit fault message in Check Control
OPTION 2 - "DIAGNOSTICS FUNCTION AND COMPONENT SELECTION" (see attachment 2 for
example)
