Pride and prejudice
With the curiosity in mind, I watch my favorite film “Pride and Prejudice”again .As many people do, I speak highly of this film for both the plots and the ideas it conveys to us. To tell the truth, each time I watch this film I regard it as a pleasant experience that I learn a lot from it.
“Pride and Prejudice” is directed by Joe Wright, and whenKeira Knightley plays Elizabeth and Matthew McFayden plays Darcy. This film bases on the novel “Price and prejudice” which originally named “The First Impression”, the masterpieces of Jane Austin. This film shows us a clear picture of the life of the British at that time, and reflects the conservation and the inconstancy of human relationship in the country life.
The dramatic story begins when the Bennets comes the new neighbor, a handsome young man Mr. Bingly who is in possession of a good fortune. And Mr. Bingly falls in love at the first sight with Jane who is a tender beautiful woman at the party, they get together after a series of difficulties. While Darcy, Mr. Bingly’s best friend, meets the intelligent and beautiful women, Elizabeth for the first time at the party too. But his arrogance leaves the unsatisfied impression on Elizabeth, and the false accusation against Darcy from the General Weyne deeper Elizabeth’s prejudice towards Darcy. Thus, Elizabeth refuses Darcy’ proposal at the first time. However, Darcy comes to realize his arrogance and changes himself into the gentlemen who gained the respects from the neighborhood, while Elizabeth also gets to know the truth about what Darcy had done, and changes the strong prejudice into deep love towards Darcy. Finally, Darcy and Elizabeth become the happy couple. What’s more , this film also conclude the love story of two couples, the Charlotte and Collins，and Iydia and Wayne. At the end of the story, all of them lead a happy life in their own styles.
From my point of view, I enjoy reading this film for it is so intricate and dramatic, especially the plots are resourceful!
The pride and prejudice between Darcy and Elizabeth leave the deepest impression on me. On the one hand, Darcy’s arrogance makes him stuck in the unpleasant situation that there are respects to him from others. This gives us the important lesson that everyone should pay respect to others because nobody stands a higher position. Thus, we should require ourselves to have a good manner, pay respects toward everyone you know without discrimination. On the other hand, the prejudice from Elizabeth also tell us that “never judge people by their ap pearance”, maybe someone you meet for the first time leave the unpleasant impression on you, but what you need is to judge the person with the objective view, then you can gain the real sight of the person.
What’s more, I do appreciate Elizabeth’s value t oward marriage——It’s wrong to get married for the property, money, and position. Yes, marriage is not a trifling matter！I also emphasize the importance of the ideal marriage, and regard the men and women’s deep love as the foundation stone which would conclude the ideal marriage.
All in all, I really enjoy watch this film “Pride and Prejudice ,because I can not only gain the pleasant experience when watch it, but also gain something useful that I think it would surly benefit all my life!
