self-introduction
Good morning dear professors,I am glad to be here for this interview.
My name is CaoJunru,21 years old.My major is Asset Evaluation and my undergraduate period will be accomplished in Guangdong University of Financein July, 2017.I am planning to pursue my master degree here.
I’m an optimistic girl from shanxi,warm-hearted, easy-going and rich in curiosity. I am energetic and enthusiastic. Well,in my spare time,I have broad interests but very different from many other girls.Ienjoy watching all kinds of sports events,especially the World Cup,European Champion Clubs’Cup and NBA.I always concern about political news or hot spots,whether international or domestic.F requently I exchange with other people by making comments on line. In addition, during my college years,I was once an excellent debater and presenter.
And then,I want to introduce my studies.I have to say,I am fully obsessed with my major.Almost all of my professional courses are excellent and I really like to discuss different problems with teachers.I was also awarded in the academic competitions of both national and provincial level.Thanks to my hard-working,I have won scholarships many times.In addition,I took full use of time to practice in the Asset Evaluation company during my summer vocation.This social experience made me get closer to the practical work.
Apart from my major learning,I also paid special attention to the latest tendency about Asset Evaluation in order to update my information about this field.
I am eager to further my education and I expect to study in this university.I hope I can form a comprehensive view of Asset Evaluation and make a solid foundation for future profession after two years’ study here.

2.What kind of landscape surrounds your hometown?
I'm from Yuncheng,a beautiful city with a long history over 5,000 years,located in the southern part of Shanxi Province.As we all know,Shanxi is rich in coal resource.But my hometown Yuncheng is the only city without coal in Shanxi.So the air quality is very good.The economy of my hometown mainly depends on the development of tourism.Many historical celebrities were born there,such as 司马迁、王维、柳宗元and especially 关羽，a very famous general during the Three Kingdoms and an important figure in the Taoyuan three sworn brothers(桃园三结义).There are also many well-known places of interest.Forexample,Guanque tower(鹳雀楼) ,one of the four great towers in China.And a famous lake named Salt Lake,which is honoured as the Dead Sea of China and people can float in the water without anything.The next is Pujiu Temple（普救寺）,where the story of西厢记 occurred and many young people regard it as a romantic destination .There is also the hometown of Chinese famous astronaut景海鹏，who has visited space for three times.This is my beloved hometown.If you go there,I’m sure you will have a good time.
3.What does your name mean?Why is your name important to you?
My name is 曹君茹.
“君”In Chinese it means to continue our traditional moral quality.
First,it contains my parents’wish for me and it also shows my parents how much care about a person's character.They want me to be a gentleman of noble character,an upright ,honestand noble person who is always willing to help others in any way they need.
And then, it contains my parents’ hope for my future.They wish me to break the glass ceiling for girls and fight just like the man that people expect.They don't want me to yield to those cultural valueson girls and
they want me to try my best to contribute something to the world.
“茹”means I can have a very soft and considerate heart like many girls.
My name is part of my heart culture,which I take really seriously.
It also reminds me of my principle and neverforget where I come from.
I believe I can be an excellent person!
Why do you choose to study in our university?

Firstly,studying in the universities of Beijing is my childhood dream.During the College Entrance Examination,I failed to be
enrolled[?n'r??l] in these universities and now I want to fulfill my dream.
Secondly,I’m deeply attracted by the academic and scholarly atmosphere,as well as the youthful spirit of both teachers and students in your university.
Most importantly,your university has a good reputation in the field of asset evaluation and so many excellent teachers who have strong research abilities.
Last May, I took part in a seminar [?seminɑ:]on asset evaluation with my teachers at the Guangdong University of Finance and economics, I clearly remember the report at the meeting of Professor Wang, Vice Dean [di:n] of your department. I am very impressed by the personnel training program of asset evaluation and admire your school's international horizons [h?'ra?znz] to cultivate students.
That’s why I choose to further my study here.It would really be my great honor if I could pursue my master degree here.
Family
In my family, there are five members, My grandmother, parents, younger brother and me. My grandmother is Seventy-six years olds and She enjoys opera very much. My father is an accountant and mother is an engineer. My brother is only one year younger than me and his major is Music Performance.( North University of China in Taiyuan of my hometown Shanxi) Every day the happiest thing is sitting with the family eating and watching TV. We often discuss some interesting things about various TV shows. My family’s love and support are my power during my preparation for coming here, and I hope in future I will be able to repay them.
Beijing
As we all know,Beijing is the capital city of China.But I love it mainly because it’s the cultu ral center of our country.There are many historical interesting places in Beijing,such as the Forbidden City故宫,the Summer Palace,the Geart Wall and so on.Every building seems to be telling a story behind it and I can feel the emotion and spirits of historical figures. This is reason why Beijing attract many tourists from all over the world.
Another reason is that Beijing offers more opportunities for
self-development. Life there is more exciting and colorful. More and more people find Beijing is an attractive place.
Book
My favorite book is a historical novel titled the Narrative[?n?r?t?v] History of Ming Dynasty. It’s written by 当年明月in 2006,it tells the history to the readers of more than three hundred years in the Ming Dynasty.There are real historical stories from politics to wars. The author's [??:θ?]language is very humorous,so the history becomes very interesting and I can feel the emotion and spirits of historical figures. The two historical figures I admire most are 于谦and张居正. They are very upright and try their best to serve the country.
There is so much I can learn from them.
The book is very nice.it's worth reading, so I want to introduce to you.
Idol
My idol is Kobe Bryant [?brai?n],a very famous basketball player in the world.If you ask me ’who do you think is the king of NBA?’, I will answer without hesitation [?hez?'te??n], Kobe.His nickname is Black Mamba [?m?mb?]. He led the Los Angeles lakers won the NBA championship five times. Kobe is one of NBA best scorers who is considered the greatest basketball player after Michael Jordan. [?sk?:r?]
Every time on the Court,he always can try his best to win games. He can do whatever it takes to the team. Kobe is a real man who won’t never give up,that’s the reasons why I like him so much.His spirit moved me.Just as a saying goes,’there is a spirit called Kobe.’He is so confident and eager to be no.1. He often says,what I’m doing right now,I’m chasing perfection.
Many basketball stars say there only one word can be
compared[k?m?pe?(r)] Kobe,it’s crazy.
Last year, he retired. Kobe Bryant almost represents the youth to a whole generation of fans.He is great.

Furthermore,people in Shanghai are friendly, talented as well as fashionable.Life there is more exciting and colorful. More and more people find Shanghai is an attractive place.

I hope I can form a comprehensive view of Financial statistics and modeling. During my freshman year,I took part in the China Undergraduate
and provincial level.And then,I find I am fully obsessed with statistics and modeling. What’s more, Finance is very close to life.With the era of big data coming,using statistical and modeling knowledge to solve financial problems is particularly important.So I decide to major in Financial statistics and modeling. I believe if I can pursue my study here,I will have more access to update my information about this field.And I’m sure there will be more chances to make me get closer to the practical work,thus smoothing the way for my future.In a word,I’m looking forward to making a solid foundation for future profession after two years’study here.
