出版说明

本书是拙著《翻译学》于2000年由湖北教育出版社出版以来,笔者在新时期对翻译与翻译研究问题进一步思索和探讨的成果。书中内容结合近十来年国内外翻译研究领域的理论最新,涵盖对如何认知翻译和翻译学的本质特性、如何运用各种不同理论视角来开展研究、如何展开翻译教学研究、以及如何在现有研究基础上开辟翻译研究新课题而进行的多维探讨。

书中思想部分来自《翻译学》出版以后笔者在国内外学术刊物上发表的研究文章。在某种意义上,本书的出版是《翻译学》一书的续篇。只是,本书所涉理论更新,视角更广,相信在翻译和翻译研究相关问题上的启发性也因此更强。

在本书撰写的整个过程中,笔者要感谢夫人李建夫。以往,本人每写好、译好一篇文字,夫人总会是所写所译的第一读者。此次,她不仅如同以往一样,作为本书第一读者通读全稿并提出建设性修改建议,而且还授权笔者改写她两篇关于英语教学和文化研究的文章,将相关内容并入本书第十三章,为本书增添有益的视点。

过往,笔者在各种国际翻译和语言文学研究期刊或文集中发表英语文章近20篇,现从最近期所发期刊论文中挑选4篇,作为代表性英文作品附录于书后,以飨读者。有关各篇论文的原始刊载信息,附录中将作具体呈现。
