Passage 1

Most people feel lonely sometimes, but it usually lasts between a few minutes and a few hours. This kind of loneliness is not serious. In fact, it’s quite normal. For some people, though, loneliness can last for years. Researchers say there’re three different kinds of loneliness.

Bicycle tour and race

Most of us can find 15 minutes or half an hour each day for some specific regular activity. It may be a free period or a regular wait, say in the queue for a bus or meal --- even while eating breakfast. On the other hand, some television programs have been extremely harmful to the young. A case in point is the movies with violent scenes. Watching TV too long can do harm to our body and it’s a great distraction for us to work.

So young people should learn to get ride of the bad influences of TV and learn to make use of the advantages that TV can bring us.

1. Today, as in every other day of the year, more than 3,000 U.S. adolescents will smoke their first cigarette on their way to becoming regular smokers as adults.
