I’d like to tell you something about my volunteering activities during the First National Youth Games held in our province last October. After training for a few days, I was sent to the railway station with some other volunteers to serve the passengers from home and abroad. We worked from 3 pm to 5 pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which lasted for a month. Knowing my city well, I was responsible to tell the passengers at the exit how to get to their destinations. In addition to offering them information about hotels, traffic, scenic spots, etc, I mainly guided the passengers to taxis or the right buses. Hi, everyone! The topic of my speech today is “Four-day Workweek”As we know, employees typically work five days a week for eight hours each day. However, many employees want to work a four-day week and are willing to accept less pay in order to do so. Now employees have the option of working a four-day workweek for four-fifths of their normal pay. This would benefit both the individual companies and the employees who decided to take the option. In this way, employees would feel more rested and watchful. As a result, they would make fewer costly errors in their work. Thus, the sh ortened workweek would increase company profits. Companies can hire more staff to ensure that the same amount of work would be done without more pay. For the country as a whole, one of the primary benefits is that it would reduce unemployment rates. If a lot of full-time employees started working fewer hours, some of their workload would have to be given to others. Finally, the option of a four-day workweek would be better for individual employees. As long as the employees could accept

a lower salary, they could improve the quality of their lives by spending the extra time with their families, following private interests, or enjoying various forms of relaxation.
