husband transmitted the AIDS virus to his wife, who

then gave birth an infected child. The baby became ill

and taken to the hospital, where needles used on the

infant were reused, transmit the virus to more than 50

other children.

This case illustrates one of the most frightened

aspect of the AIDS epidemic---its spread from the

“high-risk” groups to their sex partners. “The

proportion of AIDS cases transmitted by heterosexual

contact is on the raise,” said Meade Morgan, chief of

CDC. And if the number of cases will plateau or

ultimately grow larger than the original epidemic

among homosexual men is uncertain. And the media

have run stories suggesting heterosexual sex carry very

little risk. That is a dangerous notion. As of August

31, 1989, the CDC has considered 3300 cases of

heterosexually transmitted AIDS, excluding those in

people born in Africa, where heterosexual contact is

regarded to be the major pathway. This is three

My favorite sport is football. I was a member of our football team. Anyone may borrow books, and it cost nothing to borrow them. cost应改为costs,因其主语是it(为形式主语),且上下文均为一般现在时。 3. The Smiths did his best to make me feel at home.句中的主语the Smiths表的是Smith一家人,因此指示代词his应改为their。 4. 由and, or, but, either...or..., neither...nor..., not only...but also..., as well as等并列连词和词组连接的结构可称为平行结构。 It was very kind of them to meet me at the railway station and drove me to their home. 句中的drove显然与and前面的to meet不平行,应改为drive。 5. We study quite a few subject, such as Maths, Chinese... quite a few Most people can quickly get help from a doctor or go to a hospital since they are ill.

1. He is on good term with me. 2. He is a generous fellow, and will soon make friend with you again. 3. His opinion is considered to be great value. 4. He sent his daughter to a girl’s high school. 5. Therefore, I don’t think love built on house and cars is true love, and I doubt how long it will last. As a matter of fact, though situations are tough today, a lot of we post-80s are making great efforts live a good life. I believe we will have a nice future. Li Hua 3. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, Some of us are having problems about our parents, as they often look into our school bags or read our diaries. I fully understand why we are comfortable about it, but it is no need to feel too sadly. Our parents are checking in our bags or diaries to make sure we’re not getting into troubles. They have probably heard of some horrible stories about other kids and thinking we might do the same. Or perhaps they just want to connect with us and are doing it all wrong. My suggestion is: Tell them we want them to trust us as many as we’d like to trust them. If you don’t think you can talk to them, write them a letter and leave it lie around --- they are bound to read it. Thank you!
