为了帮助大家顺利通过考试，尤其是在考试过程中不出现任何意外，防止因小失大，我提出8个小细节，请你注意。也许你的能力在考前不能有大的提高了，但注意这些容易忽略的问题，也许可以帮助你提高一些分数，争取一次闯关成功。

1．字典越大才越好

实务考试可带两本字典。英译汉最大的字典是译文出版社出的《英汉大辞典》，收词20万，录有大量人名、地名等专有名词。汉译英最大的字典是外研社出的《新世纪汉英大词典》，收词14万，收录大量新词和例句。普通牛津、朗文双解词典一般收词不超过8万，且没有专有名词，普通用汉英词典缺少最新词汇，而且例句少，用法少。英英字典不要带。

考试情景1：

2006年5月笔译实务考试英译汉Scandinavia（斯堪的纳维亚半岛），一般牛津和朗文双解字典因不收地名，考试时无法查到。

考试情景2：

2005年5月笔译实务考试汉译英“西藏地处世界屋脊”，“屋脊”在一般汉英字典里只可查到“ridge”，在大型词典里会有两解“ridge”和“roof”，更会有例句：“帕米尔高原地处世界屋脊”，因此得到标准答案：“on the roof of the world”。

考试情景3：

2005年5月笔译实务考试英译汉rye，英英字典的解释为a type of grain, the seeds of which are used to make flour or whisky or to feed animals。想十分钟也想不明白是什么粮食，不如英汉字典-“黑麦”那么干脆。

考试情景4：

为了在分秒必争的考试中节约时间，请在两本字典上按照字母顺序作标签，这样一翻就到位了

2．事先一定要踩点

考前一周电脑打印准考证，准考证上有考试地点和注意事项，应认真阅读。如2006年5月北京地区考生的三级笔译考试地点为：北京信息职业技术学院本部（朝阳区芳园西路5号）。

考试情景5：

某考生于考前一天在互联网上查找到相应的公交线路，乘车前往考点，估算了第二天所需时间。根据准考证的要求，考试提前15分钟入场，迟到半小时不得入内。他还侦查了周边地形，发现考场周围无饭馆，校内食堂不大，小卖部少，因此决定自行带中午的干粮。

3．考试带齐八大件

确认考试当天应该带的东西有：1、准考证，2、身份证，3、手表，4、英译汉词典1本，5、汉译英词典一本，6、黑色或蓝色钢笔或签字笔若干支（实务），7、2B铅笔和橡皮（综合），8、尺子（实务答题时供修改用）

考试情景6：

一些同学长期把手机或电子字典当手表用，但考试时手机必须关机，放在教室前后空处，尤其不允许带电子字典进入考场。

考试情景7：

考试不许带涂改液，下午实务考试并不提供额外的草稿纸，也根本没有时间打草稿。有些同学修改时涂大黑疙瘩，严重影响阅卷老师心情。建议带一把尺子，划直线删改原文。

4．中午饮食不大意

上午11：30综合考试结束，下午1：45入场，2：00开始考长达3个小时的实务，中午共有2小时15分钟休息时间。学校提供几个教室备考。建议大家自带食物和水，迅速占领备考教室的有利位置食宿。不可吃多，不可吃鸡蛋等不易消化食物，以免血液进胃，脑部缺氧以至昏菜。

考试情景8：

我有一次推荐学生中午喝红牛等易兴奋饮料，结果一高二女生喝红牛喝醉了，造成下午发挥欠佳。所以，饮食也要事先模拟一下。

考试情景9：

中午不宜过多饮水。进入考场后，如同进入监牢，不许出去，除非交卷。因内急影响考试者众，英雄不能被尿憋死。

5．别人交卷不慌张

一切考试都和心理的准备分不开，无论自己水平高低，都要在考试前后保持自信轻松的心态，尤其不要被别人影响。别人交卷快，自己也不可受影响，学耕地老牛，扎实耕耘。

考试情景10：

某考生，早上考综合时发现一人交卷极早，因此受尽打击，严重影响了上午的发挥。但下午考试发现，那位同学再也没有回来过……

6．时间分配早打算

综合题的阅读题有增加长度难度的趋势，所以上午考试时，在开始阶段要抓紧时间。实务题英译汉看起来会比汉译英长，但汉译英会更费时，要尽量把时间平均分配。我建议把时间定在1小时40分：1 小时20 分，所以英译汉部分要快做。

考试情景11：

某考生参加2006年5月考试，因考前练习真题时发现综合部分的阅读简单，没想到那次考试阅读题长度增加，综合后半部分时间不够，考试侥幸61分通过。但下午做实务题时英译汉耗费了2个小时，最后汉译英没做完，最后几句话乱写了几笔，实务考了58，结果没有通过。时间安排好，所差2分不难到手。

7．专有名词必准备传统学习中大家都不重视人名、地名、事件名、缩写和其他一些专有名词的背记，但是翻译考试的要求是字字矶珠，一个单词也马虎不得，都要翻出中文，同学们有必要专门在考前查看一些口笔译词汇书，至少在脑子里对一些常见的说法挂个号。人事部颁发的2006年5月各级口笔译考试中出现的问题中，三级笔译考生存在的主要问题如下：1、长难句子理解能力差；2、组织通顺汉语能力差；3、知识面窄，普通常识和背景知识缺乏；

4、地名很少译准确。后两个问题其实都与大家以往不重视专有

名词有关。（当然也与字典没有带对有关。）

考试情景12：

某考生为一英语专业学生，但三级笔译没有通过，自己不解。后来自己发现原来是把WTO这个词翻错了，你说阅卷老师能让你过吗？

8．卷面书写莫忽视

翻译考试是非常主观性的考试，答题本身就是争取阅卷老师爱惜你可怜你尊重你的过程，所以考试的卷面不容忽视。新东方8个三级笔译班带下来，发现一些同学没有通过，多是被下午的实务考试挡住了；而很多同学的实务考分往往是57、58分。如果认真把卷面写好，注意做翻译的一些规矩，也许就真可以多得两三分，考试就可以涉险过关。现在大家都用电脑写东西，对用笔写字越来越不注意了，所以在考前两三个月，请大家坚持完全模拟考试，用笔写字练习。

考试情景13：

某考生翻译彭定康告别香港演讲辞的这句话时是这样写的：“But here and there perhaps there will be a touch of personal sadness, as is true of any departure.但是，这里或者那里也许会触动一些人的伤感，任何离别都是如此。（人生自古伤离别嘛！）”请同学们一定放弃这种连批带讲的翻译方法，更不许写个括号，让老师做选择题。

考试情景14：

我现在的by008一次测验，67人中有近30人把中文的逗号（，）和句号（。）写成(.)和(.)。这是非常不好的习惯。还有的同学写的字过于连笔或太小太密，以至于我批改的时候十分气愤，气得想要把他撕碎。所以，尽量不连笔，一个一个字认真写，字间稍有距离，行间也有距离，便于改动。

考试情景15：2005年5月三级笔译实务真题-Over the 10,000 years since agriculture began to be developed,…一个班5个同学都分别译为“自从有了农业的10万年/100年/1000年以来”。数字一挪地方就抄错，反映了应试时的慌乱，关键是缺练。英译汉时，数字应写为中国人最接受的方式，比如12 million,要写一千二百万或1200万，不要写12000000，看着费劲。汉译英35万，应写成350,000按英文习惯补上三位一逗号，显得老练职业。

认为自己英语(论坛)好就能当翻译，通过翻译考试很容易。目前国内有多项英语考试开考，有的考生参加这些考试取得了不错的成绩，但考生要注意的是，这些英语类考试大多考核的是听说读写，高校英语教学也侧重这些方面，对翻译能力涉及很少。而翻译资格考试涉及很多翻译专业知识和技巧，自认为英语好的考生仍要认真对待，在实践中提高翻译水平。练习话题要多样，可涉及政治、经济、外贸等国家、世界大事等。

有过翻译经历的考生误认为自己已具备一定的翻译水平。在实际生活中，不少考生有从事生活翻译、旅游翻译的经历，但这些经历多涉及的是就餐、购物、旅游等生活内容，和翻译专业资格考试这种高端翻译差别很大。翻译资格考试要求不能像生活翻译那样仅是口语化译出大致意思，而是要精确地传递细节信息。

误认为“一门精”就能通过考试。翻译资格考试要求译者涉猎广泛。有的人在参加翻译专业资格考试之前已有从事专业翻译的经历，比如有的人多年从事土木工程方面的翻译，业务水平较高，但这并不意味肯定能通过翻译资格考试。因为此项考试涉及知识面宽，包括政治、经济、民生、科技等内容，仅仅是“一门精”，而其他专业术语一窍不通，通过考试的可能性较低。
