Part I. How to Write Self-introduction

1. Brief Introduction (简要说明)

自我介绍是向别人展示你自己的一个重要手段，自我介绍好不好，直接关系到你给别人的第一印象的好坏及以后交往的顺利与否。按照使用的语言来划分：可以分为口头的和书面的。

自我介绍是推销自己和组织形象的一种重要方法和手段。介绍得当，可以给人留下深刻而良好的第一印象，取得别人对自己的了解、信任和支持。介绍不当，则会带来许多麻烦，甚至会使你原来的努力白费。

自我介绍的方式内容应该因人而异，没有定式，但是有一些基本原则应该是每一个好的自我介绍要遵守的。

The aim：to impress and persuade

The content: confident and sincere, brief, highlighting job-related qualifications

The tone: pleasant and/or touching, natural going well with your own personality or character

2. The Outline of Self-introduction

（*号代表此处可以按照自己的实际情况添加信息）

第一步：问候开头。

e.g. Good morning everyone/Ladies and Gentlemen:

第二步：客套一翻。

e.g. Thank you for your attendance. Or It’s my great pleasure/ho nor to have this

opportunity.

第三步：介绍基本信息，包括姓名、年龄、毕业院校和专业等。

e.g. My (English/Chinese) name is Tim. I’ve graduated from Southwest University

and my major is ***（专业名称）.

第四步：切入要点，讲明你的目的。

e.g. I have always been eager to serve (the company/organization)in a better way

and I am confident that I am qualified for the post of ***(职位的名称).

第五步：A.如果你是应届毕业生，你需总结学习历程和在校参加的社会实践活动，说明获奖情况以及取得何种资格证书等。

e.g. During my college years, I have solid academic performance about***（院系）

and I am good at ***（主修科目）. I have obtained *** certificates.

B.如果你是有工作经历的人，你需总结工作经验或社会体验，阐述你在以前

公司的工作业绩和你离开公司的原因。

e.g. last but the least, I even have some working experience in ***（职位）, and ***

years ago, I worked in *** （公司）。Because I want to ***(说出离开前任公

司的理由)。

第六步：个性说明。

e.g. As for my character, I am a (e.g. responsible, honest, dyna mic ……) person.

第七步：爱好情况(最好是与你所应聘职位相关的)。

e.g. I have many hobbies, which include ***(择要而述) .

第八步：表达自信和愿望。

e.g. I firmly believe that my strength will contribute to the ***(公司) if I am the

***(职位)或if I get the job.

第九步：表示感谢。

e.g. Thank you for giving me this chance.

Sample A (For the Experienced)

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! It is really my honor to have this opportunity for an interview. I hope I can make a good performance today. I'm confident that I can succeed. Now I

will introduce myself briefly. I am 26 years old, born in Shandong province. I graduated from Qingdao University. My major is electronics. And I got my bachelor degree after my graduation in the year of 2003. I spent most of my time on study, and I’ve passed CET-6 during my university. And I’ve acquired basic knowledge of my major. It is my long cherished dream to be an engineer and I am eager to get an opportunity to fully play my ability.

In July 2003, I began working for a small private company as a technical support engineer in Qingdao city. Because there was no more chance for me to give full play to my talent, so I decided to change my job. And in August 2004, I left for Beijing and worked for a foreign enterprise as an automation software test engineer. Because I want to change my working environment, I'd like to find a job which is more challenging. Moreover，Motorola is a global company, so I feel I can gain a lot from working in this kind of company. That is the reason why I come here to compete for this position. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Jack, it is really a great honor to have this opportunity for an interview, I would like to answer whatever you may raise, and I hope I can make a good performance today. First, please allow me to introduce myself, I am 21 years old, born in Sichuan province and I am currently a senior student at Sichuan University. My major is packaging engineering. And I will get my bachelor degree after my graduation in June. I have been looking for a good chance to put my ability to good use. And I believe it is the time now.

In the past 4 years, I spent most of my time on study. I have passed CET-6 with ease. And I have acquired basic knowledge of packaging and publishing both in theory and in practice.
