In the north of my hometown, there is a big square. It covers an area of 99000 square meters and has become a significant symbol of this beautiful city.

My hometown was originally a farming city and inherited the farming culture of Zhou dynasty. To commemorate the ancestor who brought us the culture, a big sculpture named Hou Ji was built on the center of the square, and you can see it from far away. It just likes the god, overlooking every corner of the square. Next to the sculpture, there are several smaller works, some gigantic sachets. Sachet has the history of thousand years. It is also a cultural symbol of my hometown. Varieties sachets are hung on the pillars and placed into a triangle, bright colors add the joyous atmosphere to the square. Around the sculpture and sachets, there are several gardens and lawns decorated by colorful flowers. Every spring, the whole square is submerged by rich fragrance. Several streams go through the whole square. When a gust of wind flows, the stream ripples gently.

The square is the busiest place in my city. Every night, thousands of people crowd into the square, most are children and the olds. You can always see hundreds of elder ladies dancing on the space with joyous song echoed through the whole area and children gathering around the amusement facilities. Businessmen swarm on the both side of the square with varieties of foods, clothes, and toys displayed and try their best to attract the customers. Laughter, cries, music, all of these sounds give the square full energy.
