Unit1 How tall are you?

第一课时教学设计

一、教学设计思路

教师借助动画、图片等来复习几个形容词,在此基础上引出该形容词的比较级,然后通过实物的直接对比和趣味游戏等来教授形容词的比较级及其句型。

二、教学目标

(一)知识

1.掌握四会单词taller, stronger, older, younger, shorter

2.熟练掌握描述自己和他人身高的句型:I’m _____ cm tall. / She’s _____ cmtall.

(二)能力

能够用句型“You’re taller than your brother. I’m older than you.”进行年龄和身高的比较,并能根据某一情景使用含有形容词比较级的句型替换关键词进行问答。

(三)情感

多多关注身边的人,提高观察和分析比较的能力;个子的高矮并不严重,关键是要加强体育锻炼,增强体质。

三、教学重点

1.能够听说读写A Let’s learn部分五个形容词的比较级形式;

2.能根据某一情景使用含有形容词比较级的句型替换关键词进行问答。

3.长度单位“centimeter”的发音是本课时的教学难点

四、教学媒体

录音机、本课时录音带、教学图片、测量身高的工具、动画课件、大棕熊和小松鼠的贴纸。

五、教学过程

1.导入

1)让学生欣赏动画“Tall, short”(参见“视频资源”)或“She’s tall”(参见“优异课件”),既吸引了学生上课的兴趣,同时也复习了形容词“tall, short”。

2)教师同时展示姚明和七个小矮人的图片,说:Yao Ming is very tall. Theseven dwarfs are very short.

2.呈现新课

1)教师再次展示姚明的图片,说:Yao Ming is very tall. He is 226 cm tall. He istaller than me.

Yao Ming is 26. I am… Yao Ming is older / younger than me.

2)教师拿着测量身高的量器,量一下自己的身高,说:I am…cm tall.然后提问学生“How tall are you?”,教师量出该学生的身高,说:He / She is… cm tall. He/ She is taller/ shorter than me.教师板书short-shorter tall-taller并领读。

3)教师板书并领读centimeter。

4)教师展示玩具套娃或套娃的图片,引出“A is tall. B is taller than A. C is tallerthan B. D is taller than C. ” “A is shorter than B. B is shorter than C. C is shorter thanD. ”。

5)教师指着图片上姚明康健的肌肉说:Yao Ming is very strong, too. He isstronger than me.教师板书strong-stronger并领读。

6)学生看课本A Let’s learn部分的图片,同时跟读录音。

3.趣味操练

1)有关介绍家庭成员的小游戏

Ask pairs of volunteers to come forward and lead a dialogue such as:

Teacher: (Point to Student 1 and talk to Student 2.) You are his/her (familymember). How old are you?

Student 2: I am __ years old. (Make an appropriate age and encourage studentto act his or her “age. “)

Teacher:(To Student 1.) This is your __ (family member). How old is

Before the students can write on the grid, they must correctly formulate asentence about the relative ages of family members you call out. For example:

Teacher: Grandmother! Brother!

Student: I am younger than my mother.

3)Draw your cousins. Who is younger? Who is older?

4)听指令

教师发出指令“Line up from younger to older”,学生用英语沟通,看哪组排得又快又对。

4.课堂评价

1)指导学生做活动手册的相关练习。

2)教师根据例外的情况采取例外的奖励方式,比如某位学生能清晰流利地说出“stronger”,教师就可以把姚明的图片奖励给该学生。

5.巩固和延伸

1)回家测好自己的身高和体重,用英语记录下来。

2)测测好朋友和家人的身高和体重,然后比较一下。
