九江市情简介 （供宣传参考） 九江，是江西的“北大门”，位于长江中下游南岸，地处赣、鄂、湘、皖四省交界，是国家第一批五个沿江开放城市之一。现辖九县二区一市二个开发区和庐山管理局、云居山—柘林湖风景名胜区，总面积1.88万平方公里，总人口470万，其中市区建成面积70平方公里、人口65万。 历史文化悠久。九江是一座具有2200多年历史的文化古城。春秋时期，九江属吴之西境，楚之东境，素有“吴头楚尾”之称。九江作为行政区划始于秦朝，公元前221年，秦始皇统一中国后设36郡就有九江郡。汉高帝六年(公元前201年)，车骑大将军灌婴在此戍守时筑九江城。九江自古人文荟萃，文化底蕴极为深厚。山水文化源远流长，历代1500多位名人在九江赋诗4000多首，使九江成为中国田园诗的诞生地、山水诗的策源地、山水画的发祥地，中国古曲《春江花月夜》，就是根据原创于九江的《浔阳曲》改编而成的；宗教文化神秘深奥，是佛教净土宗的发祥地，东林寺代表着“佛教中国化的大趋势”，中国佛教协会三任会长与云居山真如寺相关，庐山“一山藏五教”；红色革命文化催人奋进，秋收起义在修水打响第一枪，中国工农红军第一面军旗在修水升起，百万雄师过大江在九江是第一渡，南昌起义策划于九江，第二次国共合作初次谈判在庐山，《抗战宣言》在庐山发表，毛泽东、周恩来等老一辈无产阶级革命家也多次来九江，留下了极其珍贵的革命遗迹；书院文化名满中外，中国最早的书院义门书院在德安，白鹿洞书院居中国古代四大书院
