The line graph compares the sales of three different types of books, namely, children’s books, adult fiction and educational books, during a 5 year period from 2002 to 2006 in a particular country.

The figure for adult fiction topped with 45 million dollars in 2002, after which it experienced a dramatic decrease of 15 million dollars from 2002 to 2006(, decreasing to 30 million in 2006), with a slight growth from 2003 to 2004.

By contrast, the sales of children’s books was 32 million dollars in 2002. There was a gradual increase over the period afterwards, reaching 56 million dollars in 2006, almost twice the sales of the other two kinds of books.

When it comes to the number of educational books, it witnessed considerable fluctuation from 2002 (25 million dollars) to 2006 (33 million dollars), exceeding the figure of adult fiction books in the end.

To sum up, children’s books and educational books became increasingly popular while the popularity of adult fiction declined.

Those who donate money to domestic and international charities believe that the collection of money has a tremendous effect on the poor countries compared with other forms of help. This is because few people are able to donate a large amount of money to construct schools, hospitals and roads in poor areas. Instead, governments and charities can achieve this. International aids can also purchase vaccines which are available in developed countries by using the money raised worldwide and save millions children’s life. In my view, minor proportion of donated money and other sorts of help should be appreciated equally as long as the money reaches to those who need it desperately. The government could run campaign and encourage door-to door help. At the same time, charitable organizations should make every penny count for donors.(word count：274)
