课程定位及作用

大学英语课程在我校本科培养中具有重要的地位。大学英语课程作为一门基础学科,既是一门非英语专业大学生公共必修基础课,也是一门融语言知识,技能运用,学习和交际策略培养和跨文化交际修养为一体的综合性课程,它涉及语言知识,语言技能,学习策略,文化意识和情感价值等方面内容。

根据我校“一个主基调、两个发展极”的发展战略,着力提高本科教学质量,打造一流本科教育。我校从2017级实施“大类招生,分流培养”改革措施。因此,大学英语教学旨在培养学生的语言运用能力,沟通能力,培养学生的英语学习兴趣,增强学生竞争意识,提高学生自主学习能力,能较好的掌握英语基础知识和技能,具有一定的听,说,读,写,译的能力。为培养“厚基础、宽口径”的、并适应区域经济社会发展的高素质“儒魂商才”打下坚实的语言基础。

课程的主要内容包括:

1.词汇学习;(常用单词、短语的用法)

2.语言点;

3.长、难句分析;

4.语法;(语篇中涉及的语法点)

5.阅读技能;(快速阅读、精读)

6.翻译;(句子、段落)

7.写作;

一、教学目标及要求

(一)教学目标

1)通过教学活动,掌握英语学习的的基本技能,发展语言自学能力;2)词汇、语法。掌握并能正确使用《综合教程》中精读文章出现的重点、常用词汇、短语及语法结构,熟悉词的搭配关系、掌握组词成句的规则;3)阅读。阅读是四六级考试中分数比例最大的单项,必须加强阅读技能的培养。阅读技能注重语篇水平上的阅读理解技能,(如:确立中心思想、区分主题与细节、辨认重要事

实等)和快速阅读技能(即:略读、寻读、猜测生词词义和利用语言信号进行预测)。根据四六级新题型中快速阅读题的特点,利用《水平测试2级》适当加强课内快速阅读技巧的训练;4)写作。主要要求学生掌握教材中各单元中出现的经典句型,以汉译英、句子写作和段落写作为主,熟练掌握基本的词汇、句法层次的表达技巧,以及段落主题句的扩展等,在最后阶段加强篇章技能的训练。教师需检查学生平时读写自学情况,检查的方式主要以同学们在自主学习平台“批改网”上完成的习作结果作为平时成绩的一部分记入期末总评。

(二)教学要求

本课程要求学生课前应预习,课后复习所学内容,积极参加课堂提问、讨论以及自由发言等一系列活动,按时完成作业。由任课教师根据统一的教学计划和安排,对课文中的知识点、语言点以及课后练习进行较为详细地讲解,并通过自行设计和编排相应的课堂活动,进一步巩固和加强学生对课文所学内容的理解和掌握;同时,组织学生就所学语言进行操练,模拟真实的语境引导学生学以致用,提高其语言的综合应用能力。
