1. What are the differences of listening to a song live compared to listening to it on a CD?

Analysis:

Sample Answer:

Well, I guess there are many differences but, the most obvious difference is that listening to a song through headphones or speakers can never fully replicate the true feelings of the performer especially when it’s a particularly deep song. On top of this, a lot of songs on CD’s are adjusted by auto tune whereas you can listen to the singers true voice in a live gig.

2. Do you prefer local or international news?

Analysis: Prefer

Sample Answer:

International news definitely takes that cake coz there’s a lot more you can read about and you get a glimpse of the different cultures around the world. However, having said that, I sometime read the local news to brush up on things like politics and the environment in my own country.

3. When was the last time you read the news?

Sample Answer:

Now that’s a hard one. I’m pretty busy with my studies these days so I’ve never really gotten round to reading or watching the news lately. So I suppose the last time I read the news was around 2 months ago, which was basically just before my exam revisions.

4. Do you prefer receiving phone calls or the mail?

Sample Answer:

Phone calls, hands down. There’s just so much more information you can convey in a call compare to the old snail mail or email. Besides, a phone call is just a few buttons away which is way more convenient than writing and sending the mail.

5. Do you usually use your phone for calls or text messages? Sample Answer:

Um, I would say neither as we tend to use APP messaging

nowadays. But If I had to choose between the two? I’d say phone call. Text messaging is a thing of the past and phone calls are much more convenient to communicate with people these days.

6. Is it important to eat fruits and vegetables?

Sample Answer:

Absolutely! Especially when I’m a person who really believes you are what you eat. You know, Fruits and Veggies contain the necessary elements to maintain a healthy lifestyle and it plays a crucial role in preventing diseases and so on.

7. What transports do you like to take when you go travelling?

Sample answer:

To be honest? It really depends where I’m going. If I’m going to somewhere close like a park or something, I’d choose to take the underground or public transport. But for the places where the public transport system can’t reach, I’d definitely choose to travel by car since it’s the thing that’s available unless I want to walk a thousand miles to and from the destination.

8. Do you like to help other people?

Sample Answer:

Yea, I mean try to help other people whenever I can. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling whenever I provide assistance to someone in need such as helping an elderly cross the road? The funny thing is though; these occurrences don’t drop out of the sky so it’s hard for me to help people that often.

9. Do you think maths is important?

Sample Answer:

Yea, certainly! You can’t really survive in today’s society without learning some form of maths. What I’m trying here is even though you don’t need to learn some complex formulas or algorithms unless your work or studies asks for it, you still need know how to do simple maths like multiplications and divisions.

10. Do you often spend time alone?

Sample Answer:

I guess so. I’m quite an introverted person so I rather have some “me time” than go out with friends or go to parties. And to be honest? It really takes a toll on me every time I go to some gathering in which I’m forced to talk to someone.

11. Are you good at remembering things?

Analysis:

Sample Answer:

Nah, not even close. I’m such a forgetful person that I always get into trouble for leaving things behind or messing dates up. I still remember leaving my keys once in my home and I had to wait 5 hours before the locksmith came and opened the door for me. So all in all? Memory isn’t really my forte.

Part 1

的题型上比如like or dislike。

They also provide cleaner services to marine turtles, by removing algal growth from their shells. They do not tolerate other fish with the same color or shape.

Do you work or are you a student,今天先看study. 1. What major are you studying? 2. Why did you choose to study that subject? 3. What courses do you like and dislike? [why/why not] 4. Where do you study? 5. Why did you choose this school/university? What major are you studying? My major is computer science. I major in computer science. I’m studying the major of computer science. Why did you choose to study that subject? Because I like this major very much. Computer science is a little bit challenging but I’m good at it so I enjoy doing this subject. Also, I can get a decent job easily after I graduate from the university. There are many reasons why I choose computer science as a major. 或者 The reasons are complicated, you know. 总结一下回答这个问题的角度可以有: 是否喜欢这个专业(是不是自己选的,还是父母家人建议的?) like/enjoy, dislike/don't like/hate it's my cup of tea 它是我喜爱的。

A Handicraft Q. A Handicraft (something made by hand) You should say: What it is? What it looks like? How to make it? And explain what other people thought of it. When talking about handicrafts, I’d like to share with you my experience of making paper-cut. Paper-cut is a traditional folk art in China and it’s been very popular in some ruralareas. It is paper cut into different shapes and patterns and then pasted on windows as decorations on festive occasions, such as the Spring Festival or a Wedding ceremony. I first learned to make paper- cut in primary school when making paper-cut was part of the extracurricularactivities. The process isn’t very complicated and doesn’t take long. Well, you need a piece of red-coloured paper, a pair of scissors and a pencil. Second, draw a certain pattern or write down some Chinese characters, such as “XI, OR FU ”that represent the auspiciousnessin our culture on the folded paper. Then use the scissors to cut the paper according to the pattern. When you open it up.Ta-da, you will find out a very beautiful pattern in the centre is right in front of your eyes. Finally , paste the pattern of “FU or XI” to the front-door upside down, which means the fortuneand bliss are coming. It is a very good practice for creativityand hands-on skills. It's located in the north of the country, not really that far from the ******. Is there much to do in your hometown Oh yes, there's certainly lots to do there as it's a fairly big city (even it’s a small town/county). If you like going out in the evening there are a lot of good restaurants and bars. If you prefer cultural activities there are museums and art galleries. But if you like nature there are lots of other things outside of the city which are easy to reach. What are the people like in your hometown Most of them are quite friendly, but as with most big cities everyone is often busy so it may seem as if they are not interested in speaking or having a chat. But if you lived there you would know that most people are quite happy to have a chat if they have time and will help you if needed. (It’s similar to a common topic of describing a neighbor, isn’t it)
