Speaking of healthy life, it is something we usually talk about but only a

few of us really follow the rules to maintain it, especially for young generation in our modern society.

We can often see this slogan on the internet ‘what we eat defines what we

become’, and from my point of view, healthy living style has greatly rely on

your eating habit. Having a balanced diet means eating a variety of foods to

achieve and maintain a healthy body weight. Besides, keeping a healthy

is alsothe combination of physical and psychological well-being.

For example, my roommate Mark was always insisting us to wake up very early

in the morning and then took us to the playground to do some physical exercises.

It really helps us to get rid of some bad habits, because we used to stay up late at night and oversleep the next morning, it is easier for us to get tired and also it had a big impact on our learning efficiency. Besides, more importantly, people nowadays have a sedentary lifestyle and pay little attention

to the future influence which may bring by the unhealthy lifestyle.

Let’s take the Chinese high school students as an example, they usually

skip their breakfast or just grab something very quick to eat. It’s pretty much

the same with exercise, few people these days have time to do some daily exercises into their life. As a result, keeping a healthy lifestyle is crucial in our daily life, however, we should also take some actions to make it come

true and reach our ultimate aim to live longer in this vivid world.

The bar chart gives information about residential expenditures spent in

eight different sections in England in the given two years 1957 and 2007.

It is clear that housing expenditure took up the highest percentage in both

1957 and 2007, which constituted 25% and 27% respectively. Meanwhile, people

spent the least money on purchasing tobacco for the given two periods, the

proportion stayed constant (6%). Also, consumers had spent similar money on

food, the ratio only increased decreased by approximately 2%. However, the

spending on other goods and services increased from 9% to 14% As for expenditure on drinks and clothing, the percentages both showed a

declining trend, moreover, these two figures had declined similarly by 5%. The

proportion for transport dropped from 15% to 10%, while the number for fuel

consumption rose from 7% to 14%. This might be explained by an increase in the

price for fuel over the five decades, with people’s increasing demand for energy

use.

The working population has always been fighting for better working entitlements including annual paid vacations, though the welfare policy varies

in different countries.

It is obvious that the benefits of statutory vacations are not only

restricted to employees but also to employers. First and foremost, holidays are

essential for families to strengthen their bonds. Studies support that those who

manage to achieve the balance between work and family would be more likely to

focus on work than those who fail to do so. Moreover, physical health could be

promoted through taking a vacation. Increasing evidence shows that overtime

results in increasing absenteeism rate, sick leave and high turnover, which is

anti-productive. The last but not least supporting factor for a paid leave is innovation and creativity which is believed to be seen in those refreshed from

an extensive period of time off in many businesses, particularly in the fields

of information technology and other “brain-intens ive” domains.

However, it has to be admitted that vacation decreases working hours, hence

reducing working outcome. Four week is nearly a twelfth of a year, which is not

a short period of time and a month’s wage is not a small outlay for a business.

For some companies, a consecutive 4-week leave is not practical. Besides the

economic consideration, the connection between working efficiency and paid day

off is under suspicion in some labor-intensive occupations. Would a post deliver

worker performs faster after a one-month vacation?

From my own perspective, annual leave for a month is positive to work

performance in most cases, especially in those positions where innovation is

critical. But in some others, it can be negative and the loss of time cannot be

compensated by higher work efficiency or effectiveness. Therefore, 4-week should

not be the mandated minimum paid vacation.

So if I could go there, I think by car is a second-to-none choice. Las Vega is mostly famous for the colourful nightlife. This is a resort town located in the Mojave Desert in Nevada. The town has some specialties and during the night times, it looks best. The entire city is well decorated and illuminated. The most amazing feature of the city is the musical fountain. It is synchronised with music. Besides, the Strip is also another attractive issue at the town. The replicas like Eiffel Tower; Egyptian Pyramids etc. are also some adorable things here. I am a student at Everest College and having an undergrad course in economics. I have a group of six members in the college. We love to be together always like having a group study, moving for a theatre, joining at any ceremony and more. Sometimes we make some short trips in some less distant areas. Now we are planning to have a trip in Las Vegas. Though I went there for several times with my dad to meet my uncle who owns a small pub there, I did not have the chance to move on my own.
