Also, if a student's parents want to reach the student, they can send a message to the student as soon as possible.

However, as an old saying goes: each coin has two sides.

Phones are also bad for studying because students might be more tempted to send the message during class. Furthermore, students might use the mobile phones to cheat on exams, and this would be bad for them.

In a word , the advantages are balanced with the disadvantages, and it is ultimately the school's decision whether or not to allow mobile phones
