听力使用说明

1．每周一次练习，每月（第四周）一次测试。

2．练习的听力内容比较短，并且只有一遍，但形式多样。同学们可以反复收听和练习，必要时可以参看原文，务必做到全部听懂。

3．听力必须经常练习，切不可有“三天打鱼，两天晒网”的不良习惯。

4．有时我们会穿插上听力练习的讲解和技巧。

5．新教材在高一阶段非常强调听说，因此教材配套有很多听力练习。网校听力练习所起的是补充和扩展的作用，不能完全代替日常授课中的听力部分。

Nowadays motorcycling is fast becoming one of America’s most popular sports. However, there are several things about motorcycling that the common citizen dislikes. Motorcyclists frequently look dirty; in fact, they are dirty. On the road there is little to protect them from mud, insects, and bird droppings. For practical reasons they often dress in old clothing which looks much less respectable than the clothing of people who ride in cars. For the same reason motorcyclists usually wear dark colors.

Of course the danger of motorcycling also explains why many people dislike the sport. Its lovers, however, make it clear that careful cyclists are in less danger than is commonly believed. A cyclist must ride as if everybody around him wanted to kill him. He must pay careful attention to his driving. In that way, a man on a motorcycle is safer than a man in a car.
