一、说明

1.课程的性质和地位

英语写作是人们使用英语互通信息、交流思想的重要手段,在国际交流日益增多的今天,其作用显得更加重要。因此英语写作课程是一门应用性很强的课程。英语写作是一门培养学生运用英语进行写作的专业技能课程。英语写作课的目的在于培养学生初步的英语写作能力,包括提纲、文章摘要、短文以及简单的应用文。对于英语专业的学生,本课程为英语专业基础必修课。通过英文写作课,使学生了解必要的写作基础知识,培养熟练的英语写作能力,包括扩熟练掌握在信息时代用英语进行信息交流能力。

2.课程的任务

写作课是一门能力训练课,它不仅仅是通过理论指导来传授知识,更重要的是它将通过指导学生写作实践训练培养和提高学生用英语写作的实际书面交际能力。在第四学期结束时,学生应能根据所给题目和写作提纲、图表、数据表等,在35分钟内写出一篇长度为150-200个单词左右的短文,内容切题,结构严谨,条理清楚,语法正确,语言通顺,表达得体;能根据提示在10分钟内写出60个单词左右的应用文;掌握概要、摘要的写作规范和一般要求;掌握读书报告或其他种类报告的书写规范。第五学期结束时,学生应能够了解英语论文写作,并初步掌握基本修辞方法进行高一级的英语写作。

3.课程教学的基本要求

一年级不开设写作课,写作基本技能训练渗透在综合英语课中。二年级单独开设写作课,要求学生进行从选词到写句子到段落到短文写作等一系列的训练,着重模仿实践。2000年3月颁布的英语专业教学新大纲对英语写作课是这样规定的:

通过写作课,使二年级的学生能在半个小时内根据作文题目、提纲或图表写出长度为200单词左右的短文,内容切题,结构严谨,条理清楚,语法正确,语言通顺,表达得体。同时还能根据提示,在10分钟内写出长度为60个单词左右的应用文,如便条。

此外,还应训练学生掌握各种文体及其篇章结构,如描写文、记叙文、说明文和议论文等。

4.课程的教学改革

21世纪外语专业人才的培养目标和培养规格以及教学内容和课程建设的改革都需要通过教学方法和教学手段的改革才能得以实现。我校的教学改革将本着(a)教学方法的改革应

着眼于培养学生的创新精神和创造能力,应强调学生的个性发展。(b)改变以教师为中心的传统教学方法,突出学生在教学活动中的主体地位,注意培养学生根据自身条件和需要独立学习的能力。(c)将课堂教学与课外练习有机地结合起来。充分利用第二课堂活动空间,精心设计,注意引导,使其成为学生自习、思索、实践和创新的过程。d)在摆正人与技术,教师与现代化手段关系的前提下,充分运用现代化教学手段,提高教学效果。为此,我们已初步建立和正在完善我们自己的英语写作教学网站。

二。教学大纲内容

本课程的教学时数为72学时,安排在第三,第四学期。

本课程的教学内容主要包括以下三个方面:

1)写作的基本理论及常识:包括一般的写作知识(如写作格式要求,包括移行、大小写、

标点符号的规范用法等)、写作基本原理、同时还包括吸收当代语言学研究的新成果将其用来指导写作教学。

2)段落层次写作,包括段落的结构和主题句,各种不同段落的写作方法(段落展开种类中

的时间序列法、进程描述法、空间序列法、概括举例法、对比对照法、因果关系法、分类法和定义法等)等,强调段落的统一性、连贯性、和完整性等;

3)短文层次写作:掌握文章的篇章结构安排和写作手段,包括记叙文、描写文、说明文、

议论文等的写作要求和注意事项,其中三段式文章的写作要领等将作为英语专业四级考试作文题型的写作训练单独讲解;

4)各种应用文的写作技巧,包括书信、便条、备忘录、个人简历、通知,告示,书评或影

评等的写法。

真实环境下的英语写作实践。教师可根据实际情况安排。

英语写作课程各级要求:

4级:能根据作文题目、提纲或图表、数据等,在30分钟内写出长度为150-200个单词左右的短文,内容切题,结构严谨,条理清楚,语法正确,语言能顺,表达得体;并能根据提示在10分钟内写出长度为60个单词左右的应用文。

6级:能写故事梗概、读书报告、课程论文以及正式的书信等。要求语言正确、表达得体并具有一定的思想深度。写作速度为30分钟250-300个单词。

8级:能写各类体裁的文章,做到内容充实,语言通顺,用词恰当,表达得体。写作速度为30分钟300-400个单词。能撰写长度为3,000-5,000个单词的毕业论文,要求思路清晰、内容充实、语言通顺。

三.本课程考核方式,方法

课程考核与评估对教师的教学以及学生的学习均具有相当的影响作用。因此,测试和考查必须具有科学性、客观性、全面性和可行性。因此,考试方式也作了初步改革。写作课考试要与平时写作实践结合起来进行。同时,要尽量采取灵活多样的方式对学生的学习情况进行评估。在学期考试中摒弃传统的具体打分制,设立分数等级,以达到更大程度上的公平。

中国海洋大学本科生课程大纲 一、课程介绍 1.课程描述: 实用英语写作是非英语专业的公共基础课,属于大学英语拓展课程的语言技能类课程。本课程的开设旨在对非英语专业学生进行基本英语写作技能的培养和训练,课程的任务是使学生掌握英语写作方面的基本知识,掌握英语句子、段落及篇章写作方面的基本技巧,学生通过运用所学知识及有关资料,写作说明文、议论文以及应用文等各类体裁的文章。 实用英语写作作为一种国际商贸活动和国际事务交往过程中必不可少的交际工具,对贸易的缔结和双边关系的保持起着举足轻重的作用。随着全球经济一体化的迅速发展,国际商务交往日益频繁,为了增强学生在国际商务活动中的交际能力,培养复合型人才,本课程向学生提供了一个选材广泛和能体现各种情景的范文资料库,帮助学生了解英语中最常见的和最常用的各种文体的用途,使学生在学习各种文体的同时,不仅能够熟悉相关的英文表达法,而且能够广泛增加有关跨文化交际的知识,从而从整体上提高运用英语进行书面交际的能力。 2.设计思路: 本课程依据教育部颁发的《大学英语课程教学要求》进行课程设置,属于大学英 - 8 -

Personally I have watched some students slowly loosen up; I have seen a pattern of partying and a lack of motivation. Many of the freshmen have no idea why they are in college, and their “eyes” often tell it all. This world is so rich in distractions that it is hard to keep a strong focus, especially if one is just starting his or her academic career. It is said that the first semester is often the most “unsuccessful” one. This certainly rings true for me. I made mistakes in this regard and eventually learned that, to achieve success, school must always be placed above other things. In my college experience, I have observed and learned how to achieve success. I wish someone had told me earlier the importance of having that smart classroom conduct, of fully utilizing the school resources, and of making college my top priority. 专升本公共课-《英语》课程教学大纲 课程类别:辽宁省高职高专应往届毕业生升入本科学校继续学习招生考试公共课 学时:48学时(基础班)24学时(冲刺班)分数:150分 适用范围:参加辽宁省专升本考试的应往届毕业生 一、课程说明 1. 本课程与其他课程的关系 《英语》是专升本考试的一门基础课程,具备一定的英语能力是考生必备的要素之一。英语单科总分:150分。占考试总分数的25%。只有基础课(英语+计算机)成绩达到一定的分数线,并总分(公共基础课+专业)达到录取分数线,才能被报考院校录取。 2. 本课程的教学特点 本课程采用基础班+冲刺班的教学模式 本课程采用“以学生需求为中心”的教学理念,从学生的实际需求出发,倡导学生主动学习,鼓励学生打好坚实的基础、树立必胜的信心。 本课程按照《专升本英语考试大纲》的要求,结合我省高职高专学生的学习现状,根据学生的英语实际水平划分为“基础班”和“冲刺班”两个教学层次,各层次课程教学采用不同的教学材料和教学方法,制定不同的教学计划,采用不同的教学进度,教学重点各有侧重:基础班重点讲解英语语言基础知识和各种题型的答题方法。教学时数长、进度相对较缓,本着实用的原则,注重基础知识的学习,循序渐进,稳步提高。冲刺班突出实践和临场答题策略,通过真题和模拟题的实战,熟练各种题型的答题技巧和策略,教学时数短、进度快,快速提高考试成绩。 二、课程的任务 经过48+24学时的教学,培养学生的英语综合应用能力和应试能力。通过该课程系统的学习,让学生了解英语考试的基本形式和内容,并对考试大纲中的重点和难点有更深入的认识和理解。通过各种知识点深入浅出的讲解,使学生具有扎实的英语语言基础知识、较强的英语阅读能力,一定的翻译和写作能力,帮助学生打下坚实的语言基础,掌握良好的语言学习方法和专升本考试各种题型的答题方法,为专升本考试做好充分的准备。在本课程的教学过程中采用科学的教学方法,努力培养学生良好的学习习惯,增强学生自主学习的能力,进而大幅提高专升本英语考试成绩、实现顺利考上理想大学的最终目标。 三、课程的教学目标 总体教学目标: 参照辽宁省专升本英语科目的《考试大纲》,有针对性地指导学生学习,要求学生掌握英语基本知识和答题技巧,包括英语词汇、语法知识、应用技能、学习方法和答题策略等方面的内容,使学生具备词汇、语法正确运用、综合阅读、翻译和英语应用文写作的能力。通过科学合理的课程教学提高考试成绩。 具体教学目标:
