课程性质定位和课程作用定位

《外贸英语口语》课程是高职高专类国际经济与贸易专业的一门职业技能课程,考试课。

在对《外贸英语口译》课程准确定位的基础上确定该课程在能力、知识和素质方面要达到的目标。认真课程的学习,培养实际应用英语从事涉外商务活动的能力,使学生能运用商务基础知识和口语交流的基本技巧,达到在涉外商务活动中流利运用英语进行口头和书面的交际和交流的水平。

课程设计

通过分析该课程的主要内容与要求,合理安排各个模块的课时分配。针对该课程的特点选择了“交际法”和“启发式”教学方法,提高学生听、说、译的综合技能,培养学生独立思考问题的能力。从学生学习基础、课程主讲教师和教学团队以及课程教学资源等方面认真探讨该课程的实施基础与条件。

本课程的前续课程是在《报关实务》、《商务谈判》、《国际贸易实务》等外贸理论与实践课的基础上;学完《商务英语听力》、《综合英语》等英语基础课;还学完了《外贸英语函电》、《经贸英语》外贸英语课程。因此学生们已经积累了一定的国贸与商务基础知识,掌握了一定的英语基础知识和运用英语进行商务交际的能力,因此具备了学习较高层次课程:《外贸英语口语》的知识条件。学完本课程后学生可进行相关岗位的实习工作。

2.课程目标

知识目标

(1)掌握相关商务知识及商务英语基本词汇、句型及表达;

(2)掌握见面介绍、参观工厂公司、产品介绍、询盘报盘等相关商务活动背景知识及相关贸易实务知识。

能力目标

(1)能就日常话题和接送客户、工厂公司介绍、产品介绍、报盘询盘等相关商务话题进行对话和讨论;

(2)能就某一话题阐述观点;

(3)能就某一相关商务情景组织对话、回答问题、发表评论。

素质目标

(1)通过分组模拟口语训练,培养学生团队协作精神,锻炼学生沟通交流、自我学习的能力;

(2)通过英汉互译,增强学生的跨文化意识,锻炼学生英汉双语表达能力,激发语言学习的热情,增强爱国意识;

(3)熟悉商务活动的基本流程;

(4)通过商务口语模拟活动掌握商务社交规范与礼仪,培养学生的社交能力。

3. 课程内容与教学要求

通过本课程的学习使学生能就日常话题和接送客户、工厂公司介绍、产品介绍、报盘询盘等相关商务项目进行对话和讨论;就某一话题阐述观点,就某一相关商务情景组织对话、回答问题、发表评论;掌握相关商务知识及商务英语基本词汇、句型及表达;通过分组模拟口语训练,培养学生团队协作精神,锻炼学生沟通交流、自我学习的能力;通过英汉互译,增强学生的跨文化意识,锻炼学生英汉双语表达能力,激发语言学习的热情,增强爱国意识。

4.教学模式、教学方法与手段

教学模式:

本课程以学生为中心,教师为组织者和参与者,即最终对学生的表现做出点评。旨在教会学生如何学习,促进学生间合作能力的养成。将学生分组,共同完成相同的任务,最后小组间相互点评,促进学生的竞争意识。

教学方法及手段:

教学过程中力求教学形式多样化,课堂上通过组织学生进行课堂辩论、复述、模仿、角色扮演,讨论、口译等教学方法和手段,寓教于乐,激发学生学习的兴趣,从而不断强化和提高学生的口语水平。同时,通过采用投影、PPT等多媒体方式来辅助教学,以提高教学效率,增强教学效果。

而教师则以引导、答疑、评估等方式参与到学生的学习活动为主。整个教学过程灵活

采用多种教学方法,有效地调动学生的积极性和主动性,培养学生的实践能力。

考核方式

本课程为考试课,采用过程性考核和终结性考核相结合的考核方式。最终考试成绩由平时成绩和期末考试成绩组成。其中,平时成绩占30%,期末考试成绩占70%,平时成绩参考考勤情况,作业情况,课堂发言情况给出,期末考试方式以外贸英语口语对话的方式进行,将学生2-4人分为一组,每组学生给予一个情景或主题,让学生进行模拟角色扮演,进行情景口语对话。依照对话的内容,遣词造句,口语表达能力,情感等方面为标准打出期末考试成绩。

5.课程实施条件

师资要求

主讲教师应有良好的职业道德和素养,深厚的中、英文功底,具备广泛的多学科知识,丰富的口译实践经验以及科学的口译教学理论与方法。

同时还应具备娴熟的综合英语运用能力,熟知各种商务活动的知识和技能,能灵活运用各种教学方法和教学手段,有很强的活动组织、协调和现场应变能力;能熟练运用现代信息技术;熟知各种交际策略、跨文化差异并能有效应用。

本课程教学团队配备达到以下要求:课程负责人1名,主讲教师4名左右,实验实习的指导老师和教学辅助人员3名左右。另外建议聘请2名企业兼职教师,担任课程顾问,对学生的涉外商务活动进行指导。

教学条件要求

在学习《外贸英语口语》之前,学生们已经积累了一定的国贸与商务基础知识,掌握了一定的英语基础知识和运用英语进行商务交际的能力,因此具备了学习较高层次课程:《商务英语口语》的知识条件。

教学条件硬件方面,《外贸英语口语》课程全部在校内语音实训室完成。校内语音实训室的实训设备和实训环境应具备下列条件:

(1)专用的语音实训室

(2)安装商务英语教学软件平台;

(3)每一位上课学生独自使用一台电脑和耳机。

本课程选用的教材为《世纪商务英语口语教程》,专业篇1,大连理工大学出版社。
