Name:

1.Who gave you your name?

Well,I don't quite remember who did it, because it was 25 years ago, maybe my parents did it.

2.Does your name have any special meaning?

No,I don't think so. My parents never explained why they chose this name for me.

3.Do you like your name? Why?

Yes,it is a good name. It's better than those names that only have two characters.

I just like long names. Long names sound complicated.

Being complicated is hard to explain, but I just like the style. Maybe when I'm older, I can explain better.

Why?

Old people know how to explain things more clearly, it's their skill.

4.In your country, do people feel their name is important?

Some people do. They are like their names are everything for them. They can make money from having a good name.

5.Would you like to change your name?

No,I don't see the point of doing it. A name is just a name. Things will be the same, change it or not.

6.Is it easy to change your name in your country?

I really don’t know. None of my friends have ever done that. I guess if your eally want to change it, it won’t be that difficult.

7.Who usually names babies in your country?

Parents are responsible. They want to find nice names for their children, like a gift or something. Sometimes, grand parents want to do it, and they’ll spend like a month to find a name.

8. Do you have any special traditions about naming children?

I’m not sure. My family is never traditional, so I’ve never heard of anything about naming from my parents. Perhaps those traditions have died?

9.What names are most common in your hometown?

Okay,I wish I had a computer here and did some research about it. Common names, okay, so for boys…… For girls, I just realized I never paid attention to girls’names!

10.Why do so many Chinese people share the same family name?

Avery good question. Honestly I don’t know how to answer it. It’s what people in this society do usually, no one has ever questioned it. It’s probably just tradition.

Hometown:

1. what’s your hometown?

It’s shanghai. It’s a big city. I’ve been living there my entire life.

2. please describe your hometown a bit more.

Well, shanghai is a very nice place to live. We have great night life here, shopping, going to the movies, having a drink with friends. There are lots of things to do.

3. do you like your hometown?

Yes, I like it very much. Growing up, I never thought of going to another city to live. I have got friends here, I know great places to visit. I have a deep connection with shanghai.

4. is there anything you dislike about it?

Hmm, no, not really. To me, shanghai is a place where I belong. I never complained about the city to any of my friends from other parts of China. I just like everything about it.

5. do you think you will continue living there for a long time?

Possibly. At least now, I don’t see the point in leaving this city. I can buy anything I want here. And it’ll be a better place in the near future.

Accommodation:

1. Do you live in a house or flat?

I actually live in a dormitory building on campus. My place is not really a house or a flat, just a room with a few bunk beds.

2. Who do you live with?

I live with a few guys and girls from my class. We’re all studying an English major.

3. how long have you lived there?

It’s been 4 years. I moved in in 2010.

4. What do you usually do in your dorm room?

I’m usually out at the library during the day. So my dorm is just a place where I sleep at night.

5. Can you describe the place where you live?

Sure. So in the room, each of us has our own bunk bed. The beds are all on one side of the room. There are a few desks on the other side.

6.Do you plan to live there for a longtime?

No. The policy is once you graduate, you have to leave. You can’t stay forever.

7.So after you graduate, would you move back to your parents’place?

Yes I really want to. My home is much bigger than my dorm. And I have my own room at home. Plus I don’t need to pay the rent.

8. which room do you like best at home?

I would say….. my room, because I can have privacy and space. And the walls are painted pink. It’s my favorite color!

Colors:

1. what’s your favorite color?

Blue! No question about it. It’s the most beautiful color to me, it always has been!

2. are there any colors you dislike?

I don’t like the color black. It’s not that black is dirty or anything. It just never looked good on me.

3. are colors important to you?

Hmm, yes? I’m pretty picky about my clothing color. The colors kind of make me who I am now.

4. were colors important to you when you were a child?

I guess not. I don’t remember I ever cried for a color. And I barely put in any thought on this question.

5. do you usually wear clothes in your favorite color?

Yes, I always do. I have got many clothes in red and blue. And I wear them to school.

6. do you prefer light or dark colors?

I prefer dark colors for pants. Light ones never work out for me.

7. what colors would you choose to paint the walls of your room?

I’d say….. a reddish color. You know, warm colors like red, light pink. They make the room awesome!

8. do you think different types of people like different colors?

Yeah, that’s true. Serious people go for dark colors, and lighthearted people may prefer light colors like white and silver.

9. are there any colors that have a special meaning in your country?

Off the top of my head, red usually indicates good luck. For example, this year is the year of horse, if you were born in the year of horse too, you should wear red more this year.

10. is there any color you would not want your walls to be?

There is no way I would use black for my walls. That’s crazy when all the walls are black.

I can’t imagine how depressing that would be!

Weather:

1. Do you prefer hot or cold weather?

Neither. When it is hot, I sweat a lot and it’s gross! When it gets really cold, it is so hard to get out of bed in the morning for me.

2. Do you think the weather in China has changed these years?

Yeah, I can tell the change. For example,in my hometown, winter is getting colder in recent years. But in the past, cities in the south of China like my hometown never got so cold!

3. Do you always discuss weather with your classmates?

No. It is a boring topic for talking to people I know well from class.

4. Do you want to visit a place with different weather?

It depends on how different the weather is.If it is super hot and I can’t even breathe, I’d rather not go.

5. Do you like to live in a place where the 4 seasons are very different?

Yes, I always want to visit a place like this where all seasons are equally long, so I can enjoy each season more. My hometown’s weather is pretty mild all year round, that’s why I’ve had this thought for a long time.

6. What’s the typical weather like in China?

I think the weather is pretty similar across the whole country in spring and autumn. It’s cool and sunny most of the time. In summer, the weather gets really hot, and people may feel like dying.

7. Do you like snow?

Yes. Growing up, it snowed every year in my hometown. Snow makes winter lovely!

But,when it snows, the road gets slippery and the traffic is very slow. Also I honestly don’t know how to walk over the snow.

8. Can you give any examples of unusual weather?

Okay. I think not long ago, it snowed in the northwest of China in summer. It was very rare to have snow in that area, especially when it was supposed to be over 35 degrees in summer. Another example is many cities have had more fogs than before. The fogs are thick and long-lasting.

Museums:

1. Are there many museums in your hometown?

Yes. I think there are about four museums. Two of them are large ones where you can go see some free exhibitions. The other two are new, I’ve only heard of them.

2. Do you think museums are useful for visitors to your hometown?

They are useful for those who really want to know the past of my hometown. Many of our local museums display old photos and objects. Visitors can get to know the old Beijing better.

3. Do you often visit a museum?

No, not really. I haven’t been to one for probably a few years.

4. So when was the last time you visited a museum?

Around five years ago? At that time, are lative of mine came to my hometown, so I took him to the museum that he loved most.

5. Do you think museums are important?

Well, they are obviously important to those who are obsessed with history. For these people, history books are not a good source of information, they want to have something more visual. So museums can definitely meet their requirements.

6. Do you think it’s suitable for museums to sell things to visitors?

Hmm, I’m fine with that. The gift shop in a museum is a source of revenue. And there is nothing wrong that the museum runs a shop for people who want to buy something interesting and historical.

7. Did you go to any museums when you were a child?

I guess so. Every year, my primary school organized a trip to a local museum, so I probably visited at least a few when I was little.

History:

1. Do you like history?

Kind of. I like to watch historical documentaries. Mostly I like ancient history of China. 2. So there must be something you don’t like about history?

Yes, I just don’t think it’s right to spend too much time on the past, learning what happened. We should focus more on the present.

3. Then why do people study history?

A good reason I can think of is they want to know the mistakes people made in the past, so they won’t make the same mistakes in the future. I can’t figure out any other reasons for studying history.

4. Do you think the internet is a good place to learn about history?

Yes, information on the internet is mostly free. So for people who don’t want to visit a historical museum in person, they can go straight to the official websites of the museums. History is totally at your fingertips.

5. Can you name a person from history who you would like to learn more about?

Okay, I’d say Mr. Lu Xun. I really like to read his works. His way of thinking is sharp and unique.

6. What would you like to talk with him when you met him?

I’d first ask him if it was true that he decided to quit being a doctor and becoming a writer. And I’m so curious about his experience in Japan almost 100 years ago, things must be very different!

7. Did you like your history class in high school?

Yes. It was fun to study history. It wasn’t just dates and facts, it was more about how history changed the course of human civilization.

Sky:

1. Do you like to watch the sky?

yeah, I guess so. When I feel down, I like to watch the sky, not thinking about anything, trying to forget about all the sad things.

2. Do you like the sky during the day or night?

It looks better during the day, because I can see clouds, birds, the sun and maybe a helicopter! At night, it’s all dark, quite boring!

3. Have you learnt any courses about stars or planets?

Yes. At primary school, there was a course called Nature. The teacher taught a few lessons about stars, like where they are in the universe and what they are called.

4. What’s your favorite star?

Maybe Mars, I heard there could be living creatures on the planet. Who knows, maybe it’s true. I’d rather believe it, it could be my home 50 years later.

Handwriting:

1.Do you like handwriting?

Yes. I’m really proud of my handwriting. I've practiced calligraphy for a few years.I can write with a pen very fast. It always takes a little time for me to take notes or write things down.

2.Do you prefer handwriting or typing?

I like handwriting more. It's just I'm used to it. Typing is not as good as handwriting.

3.How’s your handwriting?

I think it’s okay and readable. But I wouldn't say it’s pretty good.

4.Can you tell a person's personality by his handwriting?

I'm not 100% accurate in this case, but according to my experiences, I did guess right a few times just by looking at someone's handwriting.

5.How would you feel if you received a handwritten letter?

Well, if the letter came from people I know, I would be thrilled, because I know it must be something special that this person wanted to write with a pen.

Housework:

1.Do you do housework?

Not very often. I normally wait till it’s too messy to me, then I’ll do something about it. I know I’m lazy.

2.Do you like it?

Hmm, if it’s not too much, I’m okay with it, but I never fell in love with housework!

3.Is it good to let robots do the housework? Why?

That’s a brilliant idea!! Actually I’ve been thinking about having a robot to do it for many years. With a robot, my home will be clean all the time, because I’ll make it work 24 hours every day!

4.Did you help your parents with housework when you were little?

yes, I was not a spoiled child. My parents gave me things I could do well, like organizing my toys, folding clothes, cleaning tables, things like that.

5.Who does most of the housework in a Chinese family, men or women?

I think women are still in charge of housework. They can finish it really fast. That’s one reason. Another reason is men are quite lazy, so women have to do it.

Shoes:

1. Are there any shoes you like?

I like to wear high heels. They make me look more confident and thinner. I can even run in high heels, so they’re certainly my favorite.

2. What’s your favorite brand of shoes?

Hmm, if I have to name one, it should be timberland……

I started buying their shoes when I was in high school. They make shoes for all seasons and the prices are reasonable.

3. What’s the most important thing about shoes?

It should be whether not the shoes fit you.If they don’t fit, they are just useless unless you want to have them as part of your collection.

4. Do you prefer comfortable shoes or fashionable shoes?

This is a very tricky question. I don’t know about other people, but for me, both qualities are important. When I buy a pair of shoes, I expect them to look good and fit well. Otherwise I’d rather not buy them.

5. How often do you buy shoes?

It’s hard to say. I’m not like other girls who have to buy shoes regularly. I just like to hang out at a mall without a purpose, if I see shoes I like I’ll buy instantly.

6. Will you buy shoes online?

No, that’s very risky. I can’t afford time to buy and return and wait for the refund if I get the wrong shoes.

Teacher:

1. Do you like any teachers of yours?

Yes, there are a few teachers I really like. They definitely know how to teach, unlike others who only do their job and don’t care about their students.

2. Have your teachers helped you?

Yes, since primary school, there have always been teachers who are there for me. They helped me with my studies, sometimes they encouraged me when I was really down.

3. Do you still keep in touch with your teachers?

Yes, some of my teachers are now my friends. Sometimes I send them text messages, sometimes we just hang out and have a cup of tea together or something.

4. Do you want to be a teacher?

No. It would kill me! No kidding. For one thing, it’s hard, you have to know your stuff really well. For another, I don’t want to teach the same thing for 20 years, it’s boring! Shopping:

1. Do you like shopping?

Yes, I do. I have to buy things and I can’t just use old things till they die. Replacing them is very important.

2. Would you like to work in a shop?

No, I’m not interested in retail. You never know how difficult some customers can be. I honestly don’t like to deal with that.

3. Do you like shopping on the internet?

Yes, I have bought tons of things from the internet since the first time I used it for shopping. It’s fast and convenient, I totally love it!

4. When do you usually go shopping?

I only shop when there is a festival coming up, like spring festival or Christmas. That’s the time when I could get lots of good deals.

5. Do you prefer shopping in big stores or small shops?

It depends on what I want to buy.So if it’s just some grocery, I’d like to go to a big store where I can pick up almost everything on my shopping list. If I’m going to buy some clothes, I’d probably go to a small but nice shop.

Friends:

1. Do you prefer more general friends or just a few good friends?

I prefer a few good friends. These people will help me when I’m in trouble. As to general friends, it’s a bit strange to ask for help since we aren’t that close.

Honestly I want to keep the balance, just a few good ones, and some general ones. I like to have more people on my friends list, so I get to learn more.

2. What are the differences between best friends and other friends?

A best friend is someone you may not talk to very often, but you never feel distant. General friends are easy to lose so you need to talk to them often.

3. Who is your best friend?

My best friend is Kate, we met in high school. So it’s been ten years since we became friends.

4. What do you usually do with your friends?

Mostly we hang out at a coffee place to drink something and chat for a few hours. Sometimes we go shopping together.

5. Do you like to make friends?

Kind of. I don’t need too many friends, but it’s good to have some new ones. It’s necessary for me.

Public holiday:

1. Do you have many public holidays in China?

Yes I think so. Almost every month, there is a public holiday. Like this month, we have New Year, everyone was off work for three days.

2. Which public holiday do you prefer?

Spring festival: I like spring festival most. It’s the biggest festival every year. The holiday is a week long. I get to see my relatives and friends. It’s a lot of fun!

New year: I guess new year is my top preference. It’s the first day of a new year, I usually feel more alive. I mean I can think about new plans and goals.

3. What’s the most important one?

Traditionally speaking, spring festival is the all-time important day for every Chinese, since that’s the time only for family. It really matters a lot to us.

4. Do you like more national holidays?

the more the better! People need holidays! I think Chinese people are really hard-working, but we should know that having a break from a holiday makes life more fun! Advertisement:

1. Do you like watching advertisements?

I’m fine with advertisements, not commercials though. Some magazine ads are really cool and creative. Sometimes it’s interesting to see them.

2. What types of advertisements are there in your country?

I think there are tons of them. When you walk in downtown area in a city, you see billboards, neon signs or posters. When you ride on a bus, you see ads on the back of each chair. And of course TV commercials are insane, you can’t avoid them in China.

3. Have you bought anything because of advertisements?

Yes, I can name a few. For example, I bought my first pair of Nike shoes after I saw their ad. And when I shop on the internet, I don’t normally have a shopping list, mostly I buy things from ads,so things like hairdryers, books, clothes etc.

4. Will you look at the advertisement on the street?

Well, if I’m just having a walk, sure, I’ll look at them. But if I’m on my way somewhere, I won’t care what’s going on in those advertisements.

5. Do you prefer ads on TV or on the internet?

Maybe ads on the internet, because I can just close the pop-up ads real quick whereas on TV, there isn’t much you can do but just wait for like a long time til they are over.

雅思口语Part1参考答案大全

Advertisement广告 1. Do you like advertisements on TV? Oh no, TV is a purgatory. The TV advertisements today appear to be not only boring but also disturbing. They interrupt in the midst of our enjoyment of a game or a film. Most of the advertisement materials are irritating and of course of low taste. The presentation is mostly awkward and obscene. 2. What kind of advertisement do you like the most? Word of mouth is hands down the BEST advertising. It's one of the most credible forms of advertising because every time people make a recommendation, they have nothing to gain but the appreciation of those who are listening. 口碑绝对是最好的广告。这是最可信的广告方式之一,因为每当人们对一个产品做出评价时,他们除了能得到听者的感谢外,得不到任何其他好处。 3. Why do you think there are so many advertisements now? Whether you do like them or not, whenever and wherever it's possible that you can meet them. For biz sellers, ad could be very helpful to promote their products. For acceptors, ads might show some latest information. To buy or not to buy, to be fond of or not, all depend on your decisions.
