A long time ago, travelling around was not easy. Then we built ships. We invented cars, bicycles, trains and subways. From then on, travelling became easier.

But we human beings did not stop here. We look up in the sky and wanted to fly like birds.

The English language started about 1,500 years ago in England. Three groups of people came to the country. They are the Angles（盎格鲁人）, the Saxons（撒克逊人）and the Jutes （朱特人）. I began to learn English when I was ten. At first, I was weak in English. Even sometimes I wanted to give it up. So all of us should study hard and learn it well. Now I’ll introduce some methods of learning English. First, I listen to English radio programs, watch English movies and TV to improve my listening skills. Second, speak English as much as possible. I often speak to my teacher and classmates, even my parents. Although they don’t understand. Don’t be afraid of make mistakes, nobody laugh at you. Third, in order to improve my reading ability, I read English newspaper and novels, read as much as I can. Last, keeping a diary in English every day and make a foreign pen pal is a good way to improve writing ability.
