1.考试性质与目的

英语专业八级口试(TEM8-Oral)的全称为全国英语专业八级口语与口译考试，为教学检查性考试，目的是为了检查高校英语专业学生的口语与口译水平是否达到《高等学校英语专业英语教学大纲》(以下简称《大纲》)所规定的要求，发现学生在口语与口译中存在的问题，以促进英语专业口语与口译教学质量的提高

2. 考试时间与对象

本考试每年一次，一般于12 月第一个周六的上午进行。考试对象为高校英语专业四年级学生。

3. 考试形式

本考试采用录音口试形式，即考生在语言实验室内根据录音考题的要求回答问题，并将答题内容录制下来。考试结束后，各考点将考生的答题录音(以磁带或光盘形式)在规定的时间内寄到指定的评分点。

4. 考试内容

本考试的内容根据《大纲》的要求确定。口试内容分为三个部分：英译中、中译英、评论。考试时间约25 分钟。三项内容具体如下：
