一、教材分析

(一)教材的地位和作用

本单元的中心话题是提供帮助,整个单元的内容是围绕提供帮助,以及志愿活动展开生动、活泼的对话,和阅读。而且这些志愿活动与我们的生活密切相关,通过本课的学习,要求学生能够谈论自己帮助别人的方式,学会关心社会,关心他人。从而关注身边的生活环境,从小事做起。引导学生体会志愿活动,投身于社会公益事业。根据新目标对学生交际能力的培养,我将本课设计为一堂听说作课。通过听力口语训练,帮助学生输入地道的语言材料,为提高学生的语言表达能力及输出奠定基础。

(二)教学目标的确立和依据

英语课程标准规定,通过听、说、读、写的训练,使学生获得英语基础知识和为交际初步运用英语的能力,激发学生的学习兴趣,为进一步学习打好初步的基础。所以,我确立如下的教学目标:

1.知识目标:

3.情感目标:

通过对本单元的学习,增强实际交际能力,引导学生体会志愿活动,积极投身于社会公益事业。引导学生关注社会关注未来,从现在做起,从小事做起,成为一个有爱心的公民。

(三)重点和难点:

1.重点:根据新目标的要求,我把听说能力的培养确定为本课重点

2.难点:在听说的基础上能够运用所学知识是英语学习的一个难点,所以我把本课难点确定为:通过大量的输入和练习,能够运用所学内容升华到书面表达。

二、教法学法

1、任务型教学法:每个教学环节都是围绕着如何完成一个教学任务来设计的。

2、感悟法:创设语境,让学生在一定的语言环境中感悟语言内涵,从而实现悟中学的目的。只有学生自己悟出的东西才能较好地内化为自己的东西。

3、合作点拨法:通过教师创设的学习氛围,设置问题和反思质疑,推动师生,生生间的合作探究,小组合作学习,在解决问题中完成教学目标。以培养他们的合作探究的意识与精神。

三、教学过程

Step1 Warming – up

1. Greetings

T: Before the read ing part, Let’s have a short revision.

通过复习第二单元之前的的志愿者相关的内容,给学生讲解志愿者的标志。让学生慢慢进入学习状态。其实在上课之前的几分钟,我已发觉许多学生还是比较紧张,所以课前我一直精神饱满,满怀信心地鼓励学生, “ Are you stressed out? Take it easy. You are the best. You can do it…”这样可以缓解部分学生过于紧张的状态,使其慢慢放松。

2. 让学生讨论

2a. How do you usually thank someone who helps you? Discuss this with a partner.

反思:

Step1的优点:根据学生的具体情况,老师精神饱满,满怀信心地出场和鼓励能够感染学生,帮助学生缓解紧张状态,使其增加学习的积极性。

Step1的缺点:因为讨论没有开展,导致整个warming-up太急促,感觉学生还没有活动开来,没有达到预期的效果。

Step 2 Reading

这里准备了一个大约1分钟左右的视频,主要是介绍一条导盲犬和他的主人之间的故事体现爱与信任,也导出本课教学内容。

具体过程:

1. 先让学生了解阅读策略如果你不理解一个单词或者短语的英文意思,想想它是什么词性的。例如:名词,动词或着介词。知道这些可以帮助你更好的去理解,而且能让你在将来正确地使用新的单词或短语。

2.利用文章的四个自然段,先让学生整体阅读找出事先准备好的问题的答案。把每个自然段都分配不同的任务。

(1)第一段阅读讨论回答问题1.Why does the writer thank Miss Li? 2.What is the Animal Helpers?

(2)第二段阅读判断正误

1.The writer can use his arms and legs well.( )

2. Normal things like answering the telephone, opening and closing doors, or carrying things are easy for the writer.( )
