How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood(心情)? Do you let a bad driver, impolite waiter, rude boss,or an insensitive employee⑴your day?

One day I was in a taxi and we headed⑵the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car drove out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his 39 ,slide sideways, and at the very last moment our car stopped and⑶the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car looked around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just⑸and waved at the guy. And I mean he was really friendly. So I asked,"Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!”This is my taxi driver taught me what I now call "The Law of the Garbage Truck".

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbag e ⑹up,they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally; Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.

Believe me. You'll be happier. Don't⑺their garbage and spread it to other people at work,at home,or on the streets, Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. The mark of your success is how quickly you can refocus on what's⑻in your life. Roy Baumeister,a psychology researcher from Florida State University, found in his extensive research that you remember bad things more often than good things in your life. You store the bad memories more easily, and yo u ⑼them more frequently.

So, Love the people who treat you right. Ignore the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you ⑽it!

When you follow “The Law of the Garbage Truck",you take back control of your life. You make room for the good b y ⑾go of the bad. Have a Garbage-Free Day!Have a marvelous,garbage-free day!The seeds you plant today⑿the harvest you reap tomorrow.

War, money and power are a few things that countries and people are concerned about.

⑴I agree that those things are important, I believe that everyone should start to⑵more on a growing problem—global warming.

Global warming will not only affect our country and our generation, but also the entire world and future generations. It is occurring because the weather has been a lo t⑶over the past few years, which⑷in the melting(融化) of the ice in the Antarctic. This will soon cause water levels to⑸and flood parts of the world.

Many people ignore this problem because they feel as if they can't do anything about it and have more important things to worry about. If we all⑹so, then our ozone layer(臭氧层) will be⑺and the planet will no longer be able to make life continue to exist. We should do our best to limit the use of our planet's⑻resources (资源) and keep our air clean.⑼, future generations will ⑽from our mistake.

Some might feel that they can't ⑾global warming from continuing. But if every single person does his or he r⑿in keeping the air clean, then it will become a worldwide effort. Sure, there are some things that cause pollution and that we won't be able to fully change. This may include cars burning oil, but we can at least adjust some of these things. Sometimes two things are to be done at the same time, both worth your attention. You can only take up one of them, the other has to wait or be⑹up.

But you know the future is unpredictable—the changed situation may not allow you to do what is lef t ⑺. Thus you are⑻in a difficult position and feel sad. A boy was walking home from school when he saw a large, tempting (诱人的) apple on one of the branches of an apple tree⑴out over a tall fence. I remember as a small child when we would have these gatherings where someone would come up and ask, “What are you going to be when you grow up?”

The message I always gave my children was that you are able to do anything your heart desires. Remember the saying, “Nothing is impossible to a wi lling heart.” There are 11
