With the development of industry，air pollution is getting more and more serious. In Shanghai，many people suffer from different kinds of illness because of air pollution.

Air pollution is caused by the following reasons. About half of the problem is caused by vehicles. There are more and more cars and buses on the road，which give off poisonous gases. 35% of air pollution is caused by factories. Another factor is smoking. Smoki ng does harm to others’health as well as to that of the smokers. Besides，about 10% of air pollution is caused by other reasons.

We should take some measures to fight against pollution. New fuel can be used to take the place of gas. We can plant more trees，grass and flowers. All in all, if everybody realizes the importance of environment and does something to stop pollution，the prob lem will be solved.

Then we had one competition after another. It was soon about five o'clock before we knew it. The most exciting program began: Cooking Competition. Each group of our class had to make some special dishes. At once students became cooks, though they couldn't tell the salt from gourmet powder the day before.

At seven o'clock all dishes were ready. “Ah, it tastes wonderfully delicious,” someone shouted. Then here and there applause was heard. At last we had to finish our party. When we said good-bye to each other, we had the same feeling in o ur hearts: “We wish to have more and more of such wonderful time in our school life. We young students need to be happy after our lessons. Our life should be filled with joy.” It is a good chance for the students to stimulate our interests in arts and expand the range of our knowledge.
