目前游戏分为创造(classic版)与生存(Alpha版,Beta版)两个模式，创造模式版本中虽然可以无限制的创造，但是目前仅只有付费购买的生存模式版本还有在持续更新中。在创造模式的世界中没有敌人侵略，也没有Boss可以推倒，更无需担心诸如火山爆发任何或者土石流等天灾，玩家可以无限制的使用任何砖块等来建构自己的世界。 至于生存模式就丰富许多，虽然在游戏中能够运用的资源不像是创造模式那样无限使用，而是需要透过不同的方式来获得（开采、种植植物、攻击动物…等），砖块携带量也有上限限制。玩家必须运用这些方块来建造建筑、打造器械来抵御怪物的袭击，保护自己。至于有些砖块甚至还可以制作成小船、箱子、采矿车或者是轨道等各种道具。 生存模式中玩家将会有一格格的血条，从高处摔落、怪物袭击都会损血，也可以吃下某些道具来恢复，不过一但死亡，身上的所有东西都将掉落在死亡地点，玩家则传回游戏入口，这时候就得趁物品还没消失之前，狂奔回去拾取了。虽然游戏中的天空高度与地表深度都有限制，但是地表的宽度则是无边界的平面，若以目前的技术而言，《MineCraft》的世界足足可达地球表面积的八倍大。编辑本段游戏说明 玩法：游戏给了你一片广阔的土地，这里没有敌人也没有BOSS，你能做的事情只有两件，那就是创造和破坏。你可以花上几分钟建起一个小茅屋，也可以用上数天来建造一个属于你自己的壮丽的城堡。使用破坏工具，你甚至还能在地下打凿出一个宏伟的地下宫殿。当你的杰作完成之后，你可以邀请朋友们来到你的世界参观。先来看看我的吧：），怎么样，被我的城堡震撼了吧？哈哈，其实我是根据别人的地图改造的，只是茶那个字就花了我半天的工夫呢。所以说，要创造一个杰作，不要期待在一天两天就能完成啊。 操作：WASD-移动空格-跳跃R-瞬间转移到重生点G-添加一个住民Y-反转鼠标F-调整渲染距离（调整雾的浓度）回车-设置新的重生点ESC-释放鼠标并打开游戏菜单键盘上方的1～9-切换建筑方块的类型鼠标左键-添加或者移除一个方块鼠标右键-在添加模式和移除模式之间切换鼠标滑轮-切换建筑方块的类型鼠标中键-拷贝建筑方块的类型

合成表

常用mod及安装方法

方法一（针对与Minecraft依附较深的MOD，如ModLoader、OptiFine、Toomanyitems等）：
1.开始-运行-输入%appdata%/.minecraft（官方启动器与SP启动器如此。MCLauncher则与启动器在同一目录下）
2.双击bin文件夹
3.找到minecraft.jar右击用winrar之类的打开它。
4.右击找到“打开压缩包”而不是解压它
5.解压mod文件后把文件里所有的.class和文件拖进jar里
6.打开游戏玩吧~

方法二（针对可以依附ModLoader运行的一些优先级不高的MOD，如rei'sminimap、InventoryTweaks等）：
1.开始-运行-输入%appdata%/.minecraft（官方启动器与SP启动器如此。MCLauncher则与启动器在同一目录下）
2.双击mods文件夹，如果没有则创建之
3.把下载到的mod文件（ZIP格式）直接拖到文件夹里，不用解压
6.打开游戏玩吧~ 下面的一定要看！ -Qproperties文件是啥？
-A这东西放在bin文件里不放的话会黑屏可以用记事本打开更换方块id或者快键
-Qworldedit.jar这是啥？
-A这是单击指令的组件放进bin文件里
-Q有的mod里有.txt文件
-A要么是readme个别mod例如给方块上色会有个txt文本档文件放进.minecraft文件里（现在的mod一般会自己自动生成的）
-Q一些mod里会有resources文件那是啥
-A那些是声音文件在.minecraft文件里找到resources文件双击进入把mod的resources文件里的文件拖进去覆盖。
关于mod的常见问题
1.我该用什么mod：看看你的客户端版本是神马，你就用什么版本的mod 2.什么叫API，为什么要装API：API是应用程序编程接口的缩写，简单讲就是一种指令集，可以帮助编写mod的人方便的调用一些函数或指令，因此不装API的话，用到这个API的mod就缺少资源从而无法启动。游戏或者崩溃或者mod没有载入。 3.什么是SSP，什么是SMP，什么是CB？：SSP只单人游戏，SMP指多人游戏，CB指水桶服。只带有SSP的表示这个mod只能用于单机，而带有SMP的表示这个mod有官方服务器版本，但是官服版是不能直接运用到水桶上的。另外由于bukkit1.2.5V3的大幅度架构调整，SMP已经无法简单地通过Port来转成CB版。 4.什么是NUA，什么是WIP：NUA表示NotUpdateAnymore，意味不再更新，带有这个标志的基本上不要期望

在此贴内看到后续版本了。WIP表示WorkINProcess，意味制作中，带有这个标志的可能会有一两个测试版下载，但是绝对是bug较多的。一般来说WIP的mod不会有下载，只是个预告而已。
