Introduction of the Course:

The course is a public compulsory one, which is about basic theory, aims to carry out and implement the spirit of Party of China, to cultivate the common university students to master the scientific system and spiritual essence of Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the “ Three Represent Thought”. The course consists of the scientific meaning of Chinese Marxism, historical process and three theoretical achievements; ideological guidelines of the CPC; new democratic revolution theory; socialism transforming theory; socialist essential theory; socialist harmonious society; diplomatic routines and “one country, two systems” theory; and the dependable forces and leading core of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Students can master the basic fame and main contents of socialism with Chinese characteristics; can improve their comprehensive quality and the ability of combining theory with practice by learning this course.

信息时代科技翻译发展探究

Ａｃａｄｅｍｉｃ Ｅｄｉｔｉｏｎ Ｍａｒｃｈ２００７ Ｖｏｌ．４Ｎｏ．１ＣｏｌｌｅｇｅＥｎｇｌｉｓｈ１．科技翻译的大环境 信息时代，科技发展日新月异。一方面，国外各种先进科技亟待我们去了解学习，另一方面，随着我国科技界在世界地位的不断提升，国内的技术成果正以前所未有的速度走向国际。科技翻译作为各国科技工作者沟通的工具，其重要作用毋庸置疑。然而，与它的重要性不相符的是：科技翻译的水准却日趋下降。造成这一被动 局面的有客观因素，也有科技翻译人员自身的问题。 首先，上层领导重视不够，科技翻译的用武之地，除了面向书籍出版，更多的是在科研单位做情报翻译。科技翻译之难，对于非专业出身的主管很难体会。普遍的认识是：只要是英语专业，过了八级，就能搞好文字转换，当看到翻译质量不尽如意时，便对译员失去信心，随之而来的就是译员原本不高的待遇和职称都受影响。其次，科技翻译人员素质尚待提高。科技翻译人员要求具备深厚的专业技术，相当的文化储备，对相关领域信息动态敏锐的洞察力，精通各种翻译硬软件和网络资源工具及较好的语言功底。事实上，语言在这里只是一种工具，明确英语在科技翻译中的作用，对学英语出身的科技翻译人员是很重要的。事实证明，无论是大学英语教授还是翻译专业的博士，如果没有领域技术的积累，是根本无法胜任科技翻译的。另一方面，技术人员就能做好科技翻译吗？也不一定，“自己懂”和“让别人懂”是有区别的。中、英文文字功底的积累不是一朝一夕就能完成的，只能说技术人员从事科技翻译的门槛可能比外语出身的科技翻译低一些。 目前的现实情况是：情报翻译人员的敬业精神、勇敢创新、耐心和用心往往得不到肯定，人才流失也就成为必然。这对科技翻译专业不能不说是一种损失。 分析大环境的目的，不是要劝想走科技翻译这条路的英语专业学生放弃，而是应认清形势，有的放矢地发展和完善自己。 ２．建议 ２．１系统进行专业知识学习 从事科技翻译最重要的素质是具备坚实的技术背景。如果是“外行人”在翻译“内行人”的东西，质量就无信息时代科技翻译发展探究 于瑾韩俊玲姬振亭 （河北农业大学外国语学院，河北保定０７１００１） 摘要：文化全球化和数字信息时代的到来，使不同国家和地区的人们有更多的机会对以科技发展为主要特征的现代社会生活进行更广阔和更深层面的交流合作及信息共享。科技翻译作为各国科技工作者之间学习探讨包容吸收他人先进技术的一座桥梁，在促进国际信息交流乃至提高全民科技素质方面起着越来越重要的作用。笔者对目前科研单位内科技情报翻译的大环境和存在的主要问题进行探讨，并就如何改善不利状况提出几点建议，包括如何提高专业技能，加强翻译质量管理，在阐述如何充分高效运用计算机硬件，翻译软件和网络资源等辅助工具的同时，分析了辅助工具可能带来的问题。 关键词：科技情报翻译；翻译质量管理；数据库 １２２

The research present and development trend of domestic film subtitle translation Abstract: With the development of the global economic, cultural communication is the main trend.Films is the main way of the cultural communication,we know the different culture through the film. For our country, the films is a tool to spreading our traditional culture. The translation of film subtitle reflects the different culture,and that have effect on viewers.Many scholars pay attention to the translation of the film subtitle at present.There are two kinds of treads.One hand,they stress that our Chinese film subtitle should be translated into english form,and they often ignore our traditional culture.On the other hand,some scholars pay attention to the our cultural factors,and they do not consider on the feeling of the views abroad.The two kinds of the translation is not right. And that is the focus of the quarrel.The paper should adopt to the way to make the different culture harmonious.We should respect our traditional culture factor and combine the western culture,so that the kind of the translation can remain the traditional culture and make the viewers abroad understand. I think that there are many difference between english culture and Chinese culture. Only we tell the difference between english culture and Chinese culture ,we can translate the film subtitle rightly.
