Temple

In my hometown,there's a famous temple,which dates back to 15th century.Even though it's a holy place,it is located on the busiest street of my hometown.But from the moment you enter the temple,you feel calm and peaceful.

The temple,like many other chinese structures,faces south and the front gate is guarded by two stone lions.Entering the front hall,you'll see 4 huge sculptures made of wood,two on each side.They are the Four Heavenly King The Greate Hall is separated from the front hall with a courtyard.There are lots of trees in the courtyard,which makes the yard very pleasant.

The Greate Hall stands on a set of plinth and its roof is supported by enormous pillars.The main altar can be found there.You'll see a Buddha seated between two of his students.On the east and west sides of the wall of this Great Hall,you will see a variety of statues and paintings.

NBA

I'm most interested in NBA,which stands for National Basketball Association.It's probably the most renowned sports organization in the world.

As far as I know,currently the NBA is made up of 30 teams from America and Canada.This organization was founded in Mew York like 60 years ago.At first,things were kind of tough,but these days, it's one of the most influential sports organizations in the world.

There are tons of basketball buffs in china and that is why NBA has such huge following here.Some NBA games are even played in china and the tickets

always sell out in like 20 minutes

My favorite basketball players are Yao Ming and Coby Bryant.They are really cool.I admire them not just for their successes, but also for their spirit,you know,their sportsmanship. They hava been named the MVP many times,which made them real legend in my eyes.

The NBA is a legend, too. No doubt about it.Coz it is so successful in terms of making money.And more importantly,it is so entertaining.I hope

more NBA players will come over to china and show us their amazing basketball tricks.

wedding

I'll describe my sister's wedding to you,This is the biggest event in my family in recent years.On that day, it is surprising that she woke up at about 6 o’clock ,which is unusual for her to wake up at that time and she went to make up her face before the mirror,then at 10 o'clock her fiance came to my house to pick up my sister with beautifully decorated cars.

We are expected to play some tricks on the fiance when we were at home.The one I found the most interesting was hiding the my sister's shoes to let the him find,if he can't find them,he has to pay me to get the

shoes.However,that day the fiance find the shoes and then he put them on my sister's feet.After that her fiance drived us to the ceremony site which was a large hotel,someone who was the host introduce my sister and her fiance to all the guests.Then the new couple will drink a glass of wine with their arm crossed.

After that there was a big reception with dinner.When the guest eating around the tables,the new marriaged would toast to every table.And as for me I bought my sister's bag and her clothes,she usually need to change several clothes during the ceremony.And seeing the gorgeous smille from my sister’s face,a thought crossed my mind is that it is simple to be

happy.Sometimes having our lovers or family beside us is enough.

Game

The game I will describe to you is called "dropping the handkerchief".This game usually involves 10 or more children,the more the better.Actually,the last time I play this game was like 10 or more years ago.

First,all the children sit next to each other in a circle ,and they all face to the center of the circle.And then the children started to sing a song,while at the same time,one child is chosen to run aroud that circle with the handkerchief.

Then he can hide the handkerchief at the back of any one of the children without telling him or her.Then the dropper started to run,if the reciever notice the handkerchief behind his back,he is excepted to run as fast as he can with the handkerchief to catch the dropper,if the reciver can sucessfully catch the dropper before he sit in his or her seat,the dropper will continue to be the dropper,but if he failed to do so ,then the reciver will be the next dropper

And what .has disappointed me is that today,the children are no longer playing that,instead they just sit before their computer and play their computer games.I think that is really their lost.

Traffic Jam

I guess the worse one would be that on the last summer holiday,my parents and I just came back from the vacation we have taken in HangZhou and we

are on our way home.Because of the pouring rain that night,we had to drive home for an hour and a half and it will only take us 40 minuntes to drive home without the heavy rain . As we approached a narrow long curving bridge an accident occurred ahead with 4 vehicles and completely closed the road. We all had to stop with no way out in the pouring rain on a very miserable and sad night. We sat there for an hour before the rescue teams were able to arrive.Then We got out of our cars when the rains lightened and walked up to see the damage.Fortunately,no one died in this accident,however some were injured but not too bad.. Rescue finally found that it was the drunk driving that caused this accident. I think for those people who dirve after drunk,they are not only risking their own lifes,but also others lifes.It is really irresponsible.

Old Person

The person who I would like to talk about is my mom.

I will decribe her as a 20-year-old person who trapped in an 48-year-old body.It is not only because she has a young and perty appearance and always dress well with fashion,but also,more important,she has a young heart,a young mind,which I believe is the most important thing to keep you from growing old.And she is curious about everything and she even plays on-line game on the internet. However,she was diagnosed a kind of chronic disease which unfortunately is uncurable but not deadly when I was 10 years old.But before me and my dad,she had never show any sense of sad,instead she was always smiling and looked happy although I knew she was not.Even if she was

becoming weaker and weaker,she never gave up fighting against the disease.And I am really proud of her,although she suffered a lot from this disease,she was always optimistic and gave hopes to every people around her.So,I thought if a sick person like her can be that happy every day,why can’t we?We shouldn’t always complain,instead we should appreciate our life and make every day count

Famous Person

The famous person I want to describe to you would be Michael Jackson,who I believed is the greatest singer and performer of all time in the whole wide world..what’s interesting is that when I was like 9 years old, I saw the music vedio thriller for the first time on tv and that really scared me because all I have seen was a bunch of monster dancing on the dark street.However,every time I watch this MV now, I was attracted by the brilliant dance move and the incredible voice of MJ,so I think that is why this album thriller became the best-selling album of all time in the United States.

And another MV which I think is really meaningful called Heal the World.

This music video shows the children who are living in countrysides suffering from hunger,wars and diseases,especially in Africa.Jackson said "Heal the World" is the song he is most proud to have created. The lyrics of this song shows the concern of generations and suggested we should make a better place for our children or even our children’s children.almost all of songs is about love story and some lyrics don’t even make sense to me.

Carnations are often used on special occasions, especially on Mother's Day and weddings. Because many years ago, Carnations were send to the mothers as a gift for the first mothers day.and this tradition continue to influence us.I think the reason why chose the white carnation as a gift for
