Nowadays, our society become more open and pluralistic, which lead to a crowd-pleasing situation that many countries around the world can give homosexuals full marriage rights.This can undoubtedly bring light to the gay couples who almost lose hope. British government plans to let same-sex couples marry in church, which aroused great controversial around whole country. Some organizations, such as The Catholic churches, oppose the move, because this kind of thought contravenes their traditional belief. It guarantees a continuing row. 1. What kind of woman does Kate Chopin intend to create in her The Story of an Hour? After I finished the novel 《The Story of an Hour》，it gave me a big shock. Because the end of the novel seemed to be unreasonable ,but thought-provoking , and I deeply felt that: Body and soul free is so important to a person. The heroine of the novel was a woman named Mrs.Mallard who was suffered from heart trouble. In order not to stimulate her so much, her sister told her the information about her husband’s death as gently as possible. Generally speaking , a wife would be overwhelmed with sorrow as a result of losing her most important partner. But Mrs.Mallard did not hear the information as many women have heard the same, with a paralyzed inability to accept its significance. A sense of un-calm came from her within. Not because of a serious sorrow ,but was a little bit happy to get that massage . Because her husbands’ death would leave her in a total free, she would live for herself . There would not be powerful will bending her to do something she didn’t like at all. But ,when her husband stood in front of her because of a mistake ,she died of heart disease as a result of enduring so many stimulation.
