9.Sand and Stone
The story goes that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.
故事是这样的，两个朋友走在沙漠里，途中他们展开了一场辩论，其中一人打了另一个人的脸。
The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand, ―Today my best friend slapped me in the face.‖

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but his friend saved him.

I usually don’t turn off my cell phone. Why? I have no idea. After reading an article, I seemed to understand a little
bit: for that little bit of caring. I’m now sharing this story with you.

The girl would turn her cell phone off and put it by her photo on the desk every night before going to bed. This habit has been with her ever since she bought the phone.

However what she got was a sweet female voice, ―Sorry, the subscriber you dialed is power off.‖

The girl still keeps the habit of leaving her cell phone on all throughout the night, but not expecting that it’ll ring.
One night, the girl caught ill. In moment of fluster, instead of calling her parents, she dialed the new boy’s cell phone. The boy was already asleep but his cell phone was still on.
女孩还是保持着整夜不关机的习惯，只是她已经不再期待它会响起。

Later, the girl asked the boy, ―Why don’t you turn your cell phone off at night?‖ the boy answered:‖I’m afraid that if you need anything at night and aren’t able to find me, you’ll worry.‖ The girl finally married the boy.

11.Child’s Angel
Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day he asked God, ― They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?‖
有个孩子即将来到人世。一天，他问上帝：“听说明天您就让我降生到人世间了，可我如此的弱小而又无助，怎么才能在那里生存呢？
God replied, ―Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you.‖
But the child wasn’t sure he really wanted to go, ―But tell me, here in Heaven, I don’t do anything else but sing and smile, that’s enough for me to be happy.‖
上帝回答说：“我已在众神中为你选好了一个守护天使。她会在人世间守护着你，照顾着你。“

God patted him on the head and said, ―Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will even hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.‖
―And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?‖
上帝轻轻拍了拍孩子的头说道：“你的守护天使会经常对你说最甜美动听的话语，她会用无微不至的关怀与耐心来教你说话。”
“如果我想和你说话的时候该怎么办呢？”孩子又问道。
But the God had an answer for that question too. ―Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.‖
―I’ve heard that on earth there are bad men, who will protect me?‖
上帝回答说：“你的守护天使会将你的双手合拢在一起，教你如何去祈祷。”
“我听说人世间有许多坏人，谁会来保护我呢？”孩子又问上帝。
―Your angel will defend you even if it means risking her life!‖
―But I will always be sad because I will not see you any more.‖ The child continued warily.
“你的守护天使会保护你的，哪怕是让她冒着生命的危险！”上帝说。
“但是见不到你我会很难过的。”孩子有些担忧地说道。
God smiled on the young one. ―Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you.‖
上帝对孩子笑了笑，说：“虽然我不会时时陪伴在你的身旁，但你的天使会时常向你提起我，并会教你如何回到我的身边来。”
At that moment, there was much peach in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard. The child knew he had to start on his journey very soon. He asked God one more question, softly, ―Oh, God, if I’m about to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name.‖
此时，天堂寂寞了，却依稀可以听得见来自人世间的声音。孩子知道他就要离开天堂了，于是又悄悄地问了上帝一个问题：“喔，上帝呀，我现在就要离开您了，请您告诉我那天使的名字好吗？”

The Apple Tree
A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He climbed to the top of tree, ate the apples, took a nap（打盹）under the shadow…he loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree.
从前有一棵高大的苹果树，一个小男孩喜欢每天都到树旁来玩耍。他会爬到树顶摘苹果吃，会在树荫下小憩。。。他很喜欢这棵树，树也很高兴和他一起玩。时光流逝，小男孩渐渐长大了。他不再像以前一样来树旁玩耍了。
One day, the boy came back to the tree and looked sad. ― Come and play with me,‖ the tree asked the boy.
―I’m no longer a kid, I don’t play around trees anymore.‖ The boy replied, ―I want toys. I need money to buy them.‖―Sorry, but I don’t have money… but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.‖ The boy was so excited. He picked all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy didn’t come back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy didn’t appear since then. The tree was again lonely and sad. One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted. ―Come and play with me!‖ the tree said.

Not knowing what else to do, the two survivors agreed that they had no other recourse than to pray to God。 However, to find out whose prayers were more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island。The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the island, and he was able to eat its fruit. But the other man's parcel of land remained barren。 After a week, the first man became lonely and decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the island. But on the other side of the island, there was nothing。 Soon thereafter the first man prayed for a house, clothes and more food. The next day, like magic, all of these things were given to him.
