第一、注重对文章的整体把握,合理布局。虽然高考英语作文的篇幅不长,但一定要分几段去写,这样就显得层次鲜明,让评卷老师阅读起来很轻松。

文章的开头一定要引出主要话题,如果是议论文那就直接提出论点,如果是书信,也应该直接告诉对方这封信的目的是什么。文章的中间部分一定要有重点,特别是议论文,不要想把什么信息都包括在内,那样就是论据的堆砌,而应该选择一两个论据进行深入讨论或者用实例证明。结尾部分应该干净利索,不要拖泥带水。要么是一句简单的总结,要么是一句真心的祝福,要么是一次情感的抒发。总之,

停笔要果断,才能达到良好的效果。

第二、句式结构尽量表现出多样性和灵活性。在这个方面,很多考生容易走极端。要么就是从头到尾都是简单句,让评卷老师阅读起来很厌倦,没有留恋的感觉;要么就是极力地将句式复杂化,目的或许是让评卷老师看出自己的句法基础牢固。实际上,这种特意地将句式复杂化不仅仅容易让考生犯下很多语言错误,而且还会让文章显得很不自然,明显一副做作的姿态也不会给评卷老师留下好的印象。比如,笔者在评卷的过程中读到这样的句子:I am looking forward to a summer holiday that is fruitful. 很显然作者的意思是“我期待一个硕果累累的暑假”。但是这里的定语从句“that is fruitful”其实完全没有必要,直接一个形容词fruitful修饰summer holiday就很好了:I am looking forward to a fruitful summer holiday. 不难看出,故意将句式复杂化不仅仅不能带来好的效果,反而让自己的英语作文显得特别的臃肿。

第三、适当使用非谓语动词能让英语作文更加简洁明快,增强表现力。很多考生都受到“先入为主”的影响。比如说描述原因,他就只能想到一个“because”,描述时间,他就只能想到“when, while”这样的连词。这是因为这些简单的状语从句比非谓语动词先进入考生的头脑并且已经扎根。实际上,非谓语动词是描述各种状语非常重要的途径。

请看如下实例:
